  1. Nope, I don't think it is a conspiracy to screw over ATs. It's just a game, the devs shouldn't have biases toward ATs, Power sets, or Hero/Villian. However, I honestly didn't know why IM wasn't ported to Stalkers. I don't frequent the boards nearly as much as I used to. But the reasons for IA for brutes is obsolete now.

    I do think the devs hide the real reasons. I don't know why, but that's what I think. What other reason would they have to not include Stalkers in the TW club? Because they didn't think we would want them? Or because, like Siolfir said, lolStalkers, no one plays them, no need to port TW over.

    That's pretty much been my argument the entire time. We ask and suggest and nothing happens. What do we get? Scrappers with Hide. I've given up on devs ever really changing the AT to something we want. They seem to have this stubborn streak of never admitting mistakes and not reverting mistakes they have made. Just look at PVP.
  3. Uninterruptable, yes; but useful without the signature power ALL Stalkers must take that is Hide? What's the point then in being a Stalker? Let me just jump on my Scrapper with SS and Stealth IO and poof! I'm a Stalker with more survivablility, more functionality, and more options.

    As for Stalkers being 80% like Scrappers, I'd like to change that. That's what was proposed in those threads. To make Stalkers more unique and build on their strengths, not make them into Scrappers.
  4. But we don't have much trouble taking down AVs, EBs, GMs now. Hell, I might even go so far as to say no trouble taking them down. They are the same as minions: hit them until they die. They just take longer because they are huge sacks of HPs.

    There is nothing in the game we can't overcome. So why try to make Stalkers into something they aren't. I have to agree with A_C that Stalkers are just obsolete.
  5. Not giving Stalkers TW for theumatic reasons lol because this game is so serious and logical... Rrrrright. Anyway, it's not the first time. Why didn't Ice Melee get ported to Stalkers with IA? Why don't brutes have IA? Because of Fury generation?

    However, they have Dark Armor which has a stun aura, EA with a stealth, and primary powers that either keep mobs stunned (Stone) or kd (FS) and yet they generate Fury just fine. I never understand the devs logic. Could they just come out and tell us the REAL reason instead of hiding behind ******** lies? Just say it's difficult to port for whatever the real reason is.
  6. Like hell it was! I've followed those forums for months. No one ever suggested making Stalkers pretty much Scrappers with Hide. And what does it take to please me? Not changing the AT to be almost the same as every other melee AT in this game. Build on the powers it has, not change the core of the AT.
  7. Sorry to be all Doom&Gloom but if they didn't listen to the pages upon pages of suggestions that's been floating around for years, why bother trying now? I've pretty much given up on the devs ever really listening to us.
  8. I wish they would just fix currently problems with Stalkers to boost damage. Like making Placate either a 3-4 second duration, so you can get off more than one attack; or making Placate an autohit power that lasts for 5 seconds or until YOU attack so if you do get hit, you don't get knocked out of Hide.

    Currently, I never really noticed the Placate bug with my Stalkers because the primaries I played didn't have lasting effects. However, when I starting playing my ElecM again, I see it all the time. I think it's the -recovery, but I pretty much get knocked out of Hide all the time after Placate.

    They could boost Stalker's base damage up to meet or exceed Scrappers. I have no idea why it's lower. Boost BU up to 100%, like Scrappers. Again, I have no idea why it's lower. I don't want my Stalker to be like a Scrapper, which seems to be happening with these changes.

    Most of these ideas are in the pages of suggestions, but they chose to just do something else instead of listen to the player base to see what we wanted. Anyway, I'm sure these changes will go live without any consideration from us. You know, just like with PVP changed in i13. But whatever... Just means I'll probably play my Stalker as a Stalker but not utilizing these changes because I feel it really takes away from the uniqueness of the Stalker AT.
  9. I haven't read the entire thread... too lazy. But aren't these changes just making Stalkers into Scrappers with Hide? I mean, really, being able to use AS without hidden status? The one power that the entire AT is pretty much based on and now it's core use is all but eliminated?

    Do I think AS is underpowerd? Hell yeah! It sucks, especially in teams. But this change pretty much just gives Stalkers yet another ST attack. Why didn't the devs look at the hundreds of suggestions in the pages upon pages of ideas in the forums?

    Instead they just come up with something that will pretty much just add yet another ST attack to my tray... Great... So as much as they call this a buff, it's really just a band-aide to try to revive a long dead AT.

    Of course this might have something to do with the xp curve, lowering debt, no more detoggles, and other changes that have made this came cake. PvE is so simple now, I don't even get enjoyment playing. I want a different difficulty setting to actually make this game challenging. But, hey, after I get my new graphics card, I'll be playing Left 4 Dead a lot more anyway. Might even switch to Champions once that goes live. This game is just too easy...it's a real shame because I love the lay out and the powes but it's just not fun.

    Oh, and I hate merits. A casual player will never get enough merits to afford something like a LotG +recharge or Numina. I would run a TF once a month or so and see if I get lucky. Now, I'm not even going to bother to waste my time for six hours with a bunch of WoW crossover noobs.

    Also, since I'm on a roll, why do the new holiday auras cost 1,000 candy canes? Doesn't anyone seem that's a bit excessive since we only get one candy cane per present?

    Well it could work out better for you. Because if they can see your power sets before they invite you, you may never encounter those people in game. This may make your quality of life better because you won't have to deal with people saying "why did/didn't you take this power?" The other option may be that you will be chosen for a team because of a certain power you have.

    I know when my wife and I team together on our defenders, she does not like having stormies along. Normally, we like stormies, but because she's a rad/rad,her attacks are mostly aoe and having the baddies blown all around doesn't work best to our strategy.

    I hope this information will be visible to view using the in game search option so that I know who I'm inviting to a team. Some times I've had problems with toons who I've invited having powers that clash with my powers. Having an aoe damage power just makes sleep useless.

    I will be waiting for more information on this option as it becomes available.
  13. I have to say that I'm sick of nerfs. If anything I think they should make the game harder if an AT proves too powerful. I'm all about tons of power and laying waste to anything in your path.

    I do play villians. I'm in Siren's Call all the time with my stalker. I have a level 41 MM that I haven't touched because I'm waiting for I10 to start. And I have a level 50 brute that I enjoy going to Recluse's Victory with, farming, and sometimes going to arena. I'm just not in a hurry for villian epics because I don't want khelds and I have enough going on right now without new ATs.

    If this is completely contradictory to the general populous, then so be it.
  15. You know, I know nothing about IO's....>.> Maybe a good place to start will be the college to see if maybe it can spark my interest. Right now, I'm pretty excited just playing the game. I don't do alot of PvP so the IO's don't really add alot to my toons ATM. It's easy enough to kill NPCs with my MM and my trollers all the same. However, I want to give IO's a shot and I will post how I feel after reading the tutorial.
  16. I for one would love to see EAT's for villians. However, I do not want to play a kheld villian side. Maybe all those heroes are saying they can wait for the reasons you say: because they do have access to EAT and they don't like them. So to repeat a kheld villian side would be boring. I've tried khelds and I don't really care for them at all.

    For new AT's in general, I'm pretty happy with what we have now. I've been playing for almost two years now and haven't even began to try out all the AT's. I have five lvl 50 heroes and one lvl 50 villian and I still have fun with the game. I just started three new toons and have a few more I would love to play up to 50. So right now I'm pretty content with the AT's and don't feel that I need more any time soon. I do think that a dark controller would be awesome, something similar but different to a dark defender.

    The only changes I would like to see happen with PvP is a zone with no NPCs. I don't think NPCs add anything to the mix and really just get in the way. Arena for me is too much of a bother to try to coordinate anything large scale as trying to fit all the people in SC to an arena match so I for one would love to see a PvP with nothing in it but scenary.

    As far as I10 goes, I'm very excited with the content and what they added for this issue. I wasn't around for the first invasion but I've heard from people who were that it was alot of fun. I'm also excited about the new free costume pieces. Costume choices on this game are extremly ahead of the MMOs and I think they should keep expanding that gap to stay ahead as well as adding new content and options in game for us to play with. I've read on a previous post that maybe we are spoiled by all these free patches we keep getting. I've only played WoW for a short time and didn't like it. Only so many hunting missions one can do before one gets bored. And I tryied LotR online when that first came out and found it to be extremly dull since it was just like WoW just different settings. Of course gaining enough xp to reach level 9 before leaving the tutorial was a pain also.

    So in conclusion, epics for villians would be a great addition and I would love for them to come out soon, but I don't want villian khelds. If it takes longer, so be it in spite of previous posters saying "you have a lvl 50 hero and epics, so you can wait!!" Well, I don't play khelds and I can still wait. There are plenty of options for me at this point, and even more so in villians that I want to try. New ATs can wait as stated previously.
  17. So I made it to 38 over the weekend and got the dark servant. He seems pretty cool if you can summon him in a mob otherwise he stays at ranged. With 3 recharges he is almost perma; after hasten, I think he will be. I decided to slot him with tohit debuffs for the other 3 slots because his aura is pretty nice. He heals a decent bit (250 or so at lvl 40) and I already have the lich and ghost slotted for holds. Accuracy doesn't seem to be an issue, he hits pretty well.
  18. So I was curious....is dark servant still a temporary pet or is he perma now? Also, I've heard that you don't need to slot for acc because his base is pretty high already. Any thoughts?
