So imaginary money = no sense?..

Meh, was just curious. Given the base lolstorage, I can't really see the point in storing something merely for the imaginary collectibility, but to each their own. Hope you get it.

Most... not all. A lot of folks who for various physical reasons cannot tolerate 3D movies (such as myself), justifiably resent being excluded, or at least restricted, when a theater chooses to show a film only in 3D, or gives the 2D version a much more limited play schedule.

Frankly, beyond this, I have absolutely nothing against the format or the people who are able and choose to enjoy it. But they, at least, are still capable of watching it in 2D. I and many others can't reciprocate.

No. It's my perception, having seen both. You're certainly welcome to a different one, assuming the same circumstances.
  4. Saw the movie myself today with friends. Wasn't great cinema by any stretch of the imagination, but I had fun, and that's what I paid for. Was certainly better... well, less dumb... than the first one.

Saw it in 2D. As for the 3D thing, I won't pay to go see a 2-hour migraine, and I won't pay to see a two hour movie after paying to convert it to a non-migraine. If theaters want my money, I will always have the option. If they decide that doesn't matter, I'll not be wasting my time.

Sorry to me it just smells of laziness.
So, how's the development of your MMO coming along?..
  6. Irony: creating a thread to encourage and amusement, and attracting the attention of people who have no sense of humor, don't want anyone else to have one, and quibble the thread into the ground out of spite.

    Better?
  7. SSA 4 (blue)

"Hey Blitz, remember those warheads you're so proud of? Like the one you just launched? 5... 4... 3..."
  8. I look for an alphabetic list of parts under each category.

    Silly me...

Or because I wouldn't have a place to keep all my stuff.

I stopped reading much of the in-game rationale for everything, on both sides, a long time ago. The development resources simply don't exist to cater to the moral "angle" of every character in the game. I play "the story in my head" now, and have done so for a long time here.
  11. Honestly, the best build in the game (imo) is the one you tinker with, rearrange and "fix" every now and again. It's not about the "best" build, it's the one you grow to love. The build you know intimately and play well.

I have dozens of characters on one server, alone, but I've fiddled with and deleted far more... because I didn't "feel" them. I love all the ones I've kept, because I know them inside and out.
  12. Ninja/Kinetics MM, just for the SB'd ninja.
  13. Axe Melee, but only if you use the shovel.

Sadly, Dual Blades does not include paired garden spades.

    Slight technical inaccuracy, now fixed.

GoS is also irritatingly prone to bum-rushing drones when he starts losing. Any more, I don't even bother fighting him when he's down near the market. He and Deathsurge love to 'KS' themselves...

You'll get this message whether he's defeated or despawns. I've gotten this on several toons I was testing against him, in situations where I know beyond doubt that he despawned. Namely, when I'm 'soloing' him, but don't have the damage or -regen to actually defeat him, and he abruptly goes from nearly 100% health to 0%.

  17. To be fair, when I saw the thread title, my first thought was "OFFS... wah!" Next time around (hopefully never, certainly), try something like "SG and base wiped". Short, unaccusatory, drama-free. If you're looking for help with a problem, folks here are pretty helpful. I can understand the anger, but the moment you add "butt-hurt" to the mix, you're playing Russian Roulette with your potential responses. You are (presumably) here to get assistance/advice, not to vent your spleen, as inviting as that might seem... especially if it's not even your spleen to vent.

As for the actual issue, I honestly think there's no help for it. Moral of the story: Log into your Superleader at least as often as required to prevent SG leadership from transferring to "the first person that logs in after your Superleader status lapses", which I think is still the way it works.

Unless I didn't want to be teamed. Then I'm not. Works pretty much the same when I don't want to be solo.
    Quote:
Do you really care about their grammar skills or presumption?
Grammar, not so much, if I can understand, at a glance, what the heck they're trying to say. Presumption? As in, the presumption that I *must* team with them? That I am, in some way, obligated to do so? Yes. I do, in fact, have a problem with that.
    Quote:
Do you feel that a random lowbie is an unconscionable burden upon your shoulders?
Nope. Not at all. At least, not when I feel like teaming.
    Quote:
If you're just taking it easy and soloing while you do something else you could say "I'm taking it easy and soloing while I do something else. Still want to join?" They might.
And you apparently have no idea how often some of these folks apparently don't believe statements like this... and then get verbally abusive when they find out the hard way that, yes, you really weren't kidding when you said you weren't going to be hand-holding them through the entire +2/x6 (or whatever) mission.
    Quote:
I almost always invite anyone who asks because if nothing else it's nice to have an audience for my badass spawn shredding.
I'm glad folks like you are around. Seriously. I've never personally needed an audience, but it's nice to show newer players what they *can* accomplish, with a bit of work. And it's nice that there are folks out there who will *always* team with them. Just don't expect me to be that guy. I'm not, after all, expecting *you* to be anything other than yourself.

Pretty much my m.o. as well. Screens out invites via the search window, anyway. My usual response to passing invites is "No thx, logging shortly". Yes, it's a lie, but it's a LOT more polite than what they're going to get if they persist in pestering me. My time in-game is usually split 50/50 between solo and teams, but I'm monomaniacally protective of my "me" time.
  22. Looking forward to catching some of you on next week. Will be on a demon/poison version of Blood Speaker.

    SG name suggestion: Endless Legion.

You. The one with the logic and reason. We'll not have that kind of behavior here. Knock it off.
  24. Haven't been hit with this one yet, but I haven't logged in much lately, either. I've played some old toons (including my first/main) and newer ones (created since the 2011 Halloween event) a few times with no issues. All have gotten the Christmas temp powers upon their first holiday login. On the other hand, my wife's main 'troller got zapped. She hasn't mentioned any others.

As much of a hassle as this bug is for folks, if it can reliably be linked to the Winter Event, then the event needs to be turned off. Which will, of course, involve another round of complaints. Still, "the Lesser Evil" and all that...
