Haven't noticed this, myself, but I haven't actually looked at my wish list in a while. You'll want to file an in-game bug report by entering (for example) /bug wishlist in the chat window. Fill in the requested info acordingly.

Meh, not my cup of tea, but if you're having fun, who cares?
Two points I did want to bring up:
To the folks who want to claim that a petless MM can be as good or better than <insert some random AT here>... No. All things being equal (slotting, enhancements, incarnate abilities, whatever), any AT (not just a Mastermind) that skips 2/3 of their Primary is going to be less capable than a similar build that didn't.
To the folks that claim they won't team with such a character... Are you that incapable on your own? If I routinely solo all or most of my level 20+ toons at a relaxed +1/x3 or more, adding a petless MM (or any other "Primary-challenged" build) to my team changes exactly nothing. -
My dark/dark/dark corr is a debuffing monster the likes of which my soon-to-be dark/dark/??? dom will never be. Not that it'll matter much; he'll be his own beast.

As an avid MM player, I've got a pre-formatted /bug for this, simply copy/pasted each time and filling in the zones I was traveling between when it occurred.
Also:
No, it is not always at mission entry. I've had them get stuck at ferries and helicopters when zoning. I've had them get stuck at the drop points after using a base teleporter or Oro portal. I've had it when EXITing a mission, by either the front door or the 'exit' button.
Definitely not just happening on mission entry. -
Quote:A bit of correction, here. When he first spawns high above Thorn Isle, he circles above the island, more or less above the beach and outer cliffs that surround it. He's done this in a counter-clockwise direction every time I've been the one to spot him. I've never seen him "practically anywhere in the zone" even when someone else has aggroed him, and have rarely seen him farther than Primeva (the adjacent island) from his original starting point. He appears way up in the air, they starts wandering in random directions. Unlike, say, Adamastor who just stands in one spot, this guy can end up practically anywhere in the zone.
As mentioned, a perception-boosting power or a tray of yellows can cut through the stealth. It's also handy having a team mate with a -fly power, to get him "down to earth", so to speak.
Have deliberately spawned him for badge hunters several times in the past on Justice, not so much lately. -

Quote:Or Soul Extraction. Also if you've got a power like Hellfire or Gang War you can slot:

Well, you CAN...
Ages back, during one nerdrage sh**storm or another (one of very many...), I suggested the addition of a /nerdragequit command. It was supposed to:
- Log you out of the game
- Delete all your characters
- Uninstall the game
- Cancel your CoH billing
- Block you from ever re-installing the game
Sadly, this feature has yet to be added. A one-step process would make it MUCH easier for some of those folks to "put their money where their mouth is", so to speak.
Please note, I am not trying to imply that you ARE one of those people. Your OP was far too rational. -
Might be able to show up with a demon/poison, but will have to see what my work schedule is like after Jan 1; I might end up on an incompatible schedule, regardless of what's planned. Otherwise, Mondays are my only "no" day, so far.

I know I've seen them both on Justice in the past week; I monitor all zone events in Global. Haven't been on at all in the past couple of days, though.

I was going to submit a witty comment myself, but I think I'll just leave.

Have a plant/thorn/fire that's an AoE engine of destruction. I don't really sweat the redraw, since queuing a thorns power while he's doing something else spawns them mid-animation, for the most part.
-
Can I use this as a CoH travel power, instead?

Yes, I'm being... hmm, about 85% silly, 10% snarky and 5% serious, here.
I can't be the only one here whose first thought was "I don't play any of those other games (anymore), and I'm not likely to."
Still, a nice contest for anyone that DOES play all or most of these games. Good luck to any entrants. -
As a side note, I wasn't trying to specifically recommend Masterminds per sé. Only using him as an example of a Praetorian "evil twin" because he's the only one I have.

Quote:Heh, well... one of my suggestions IS necro, but it really depends on the backset and understanding the necessary playstyle. With (for example) Dark Miasma, you have to follow your pets into melee to keep them healthy. The ones that stay at range can generally fend for themselves. I also spam the heck out of attack commands on one target at a time, to keep them on task. Yes, zombies r dum.Only particular reason is that's what Im used to playing, I have a demon/dark and bots/traps so I dont think I'd wanna do Demons or bots again and I dont like necro, tried them 3 or 4 times and get frustrated, any mastermind suggestions?
Ninja are even "worse", being even more melee-centric. Again, a point-blank support set helps immensely.
A lot of people will recommend Thugs/Dark. I'm one of them. With the tier 2 pets' +def, plus Leadership, plus any other backset that provides more of the same... win. Dark has that, plus -to hit, plus the AoE heal. Win squared.
A lot of people will steer you away from Mercs. Again, I'm one of them. They're a one-trick (Lethal damage) pony, for the most part. Against Lethal-resistant enemies (of which there are many), they can be very frustrating. That being said, my wife plays a Mercs/TA MM that is every bit the walking engine of destruction that most MMs aspire to be. The character should have been named "De-Buff Hell."
With regard to melee, I like Brutes, but my experience with them, or any other melee AT, is pretty narrow. I do have an nrg/nrg Brute, but I haven't played him extensively since the changes to Energy Aura, so I can't competently say how it plays, now. -
Or you can "re-imagine" the character as a heroic Dominator. Relatively similar play, not a Premium AT. Win, perhaps.
-
So, how's your own game design coming along?
-
Ninja/something Mastermind + Plant/Kin Controller.
-
Any reason per sé to make the Praetorian another melee character? My n/n Blaster's Evil Twin (complete with a Beard Of Evil
) is a demon/therm Mastermind.

Quote:They HAVE done something. They treat it like the non-issue it is.Okay, I understand the reasoning behind MARTy.
The game is susceptible to buff stacking until it's broken. I get that.
But the AFK PVP IO farming?
That Is Utterly Egregious. (Look up the damn word if you have to.)
People are making STUPID levels of rewards, WHILE THEY ARE ASLEEP. The most profitable way TO PLAY YOUR GAME, is to do it while you're sleeping.
Really Dev's? Is this the play style you WANT to promote?
DO SOMETHING.
It doesn't affect your game play in the least, except beyond making a recipe you might want available on the market, where it would otherwise not be.
If the devs made PvP more interesting, the zones wouldn't exactly be the perfectly safe places they are to park AFK for hours at a time. If it bothers you to see it, either stop going there... or kill them.
Sure, it's a d*** move, but I'm sure you can muster the righteous indignation to justify it...
