I've seen the threadlock. Threadlock that you've seen. But you have no right to call me a troll. You have no right to call me a troll. You have a right to ban me. You have a right to do that, but you have no right to judge me . It's impossible for words to describe what is necessary to those who do not know what threadlock means. Threadlock. Threadlock has a face, and you must make a friend of threadlock. Threadlock and post deletion are your friends. If they are not, then they are enemies to be feared. They are truly enemies.
I remember when I was with Special Forums--it seems a thousand centuries ago--we went into a thread to +rep it. The newbs. We left the camp after we had +repped the newbs for lolio, and this old poster came typing after us, and he was crying. He couldn't see. We went there, and they had come and flamed every +repped post. There they were in a pile--a pile of little posts. And I remember...I...I...I cried, I wept like some grandmother. I wanted to tear my teeth out, I didn't know what I wanted to do. And I want to remember it, I never want to forget. And then I realized--like I was shot...like I was shot with a diamond...a diamond pm right through my avatar. And I thought, "My Mod, the genius of that, the genius, the will to do that." Perfect, genuine, complete, crystalline, pure. And then I realized they could stand that--these were not trolls, these were posters, trained cadres, these posters who flamed with their hearts, who have sg's, who have alts, who are filled with love--that they had this strength, the strength to do that. If I had ten divisions of those posters, then our troubles here would be over very quickly. You have to have posters who are moral and at the same time were able to utilize their primordial instincts to flame without feeling, without passion, without judgment--without judgment. Because it's judgment that defeats us. -
The Fountain
Not on instant queue but I love this movie. Not sure if you will because I've shown it to others with mixed results, but it's a thinker, it's surreal, and it is a gorgeous movie in visuals and in the soundtrack. Clint Mansell is a genius composer. It's the director of Pi, Requiem For a Dream, and Sunshine. -
I always go by what enhancements would your character use. Would she use natural enhancements like training and super healthy food, or gadgets like high tech goggles and prosthetic organs?

I too thought Pitch Black was meh. But the sequel, Chronicles of Riddick, I found that very entertaining. Visually striking, and a twisted spin on the usual sci-fi/fantasy hero's journey.
Just make sure you do NOT get the director's cut. It added some goofy stuff. Thank god for good editors. -
I started watching Gamers: Dorkness Rising, and thought it would suck horribly because of the film quality. It actually turned out to be a great little film. Must see for a DnD player.
Documentaries:
The Atomic Cafe
This Film Is Not Yet Rated (If you are interested in some insight on the scandalousness of how movies are rated)
Food Inc.
Iraq for Sale: The War Profiteers
I am also very hard to please when it comes to anime, but I did like two of the three stories in Memories. The first story is great, the second is good, and the third is out of place with a character I didn't like.
Oh, I'm about to watch Thirteen Days again. Great movie if you haven't seen it.
I've also recently become highly addicted to Rescue Me and Arrested Development if you are looking to get into some TV stuff too.
All of these are available on instant queue. -
One I watched for no particular reason, but it has since become one of my favorite movies...
The Seventh Seal. I would only recommend it for when you are feeling philosophical and willing to read subtitles. It is also a very old black and white film. Made in the fifties I think.
It's about a knight returning from the crusades. Death finds him and he challenges him to a game of chess with his life on the line. It is during the black plague, and the knight is disillusioned with god and questions everything, including what little faith he has left.
I liked it because it was beautiful to look at, philosophical, and moving.
I think you'd have to be in the right mood to enjoy it, otherwise the in-your-face message might work against it. -
Golden Girl, we live in a world that has forums, and those forums have to be guarded by posters with keyboards. Whose gonna do it? You? You, Golden Girl? I have a greater responsibility than you could possibly fathom. You weep for the troll, and you curse the posters. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know. That the troll's flaming, while tragic, probably saved threads. And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, saves threads. You don't want the truth because deep down in places you don't talk about in chatrooms, you want me on that forum, you need me on that forum. We use words like lol, IBTL, GTFO. We use these words as the backbone of a life wasted defending something. You use them as a punchline. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a poster who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very lolcats that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said thank you, and went on your way, Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a .gif, and post a post. Either way, I don't give a damn what you think you are trying to work out.

Roughly 20 minutes and this time he promised it would work. HE PROMISED.

That's really cool. What is the process to make that? How many screenshots do you have to take?

Quote:Most of the digital art I've done was in photoshop elements. I only recently upgraded to CS5.He is in a state run charter program that is an online home school so I'd have to look and see if that is considered okay. That's a great suggestion though!
So does Elements have what a beginning digital artist would need? It was hard to tell by Adobe's descriptions. It seemed more for the home photographer than anything. BUT I could download a trial version.
I did this one all in Photoshop elements. I don't remember which version. I think maybe 7. This one was done partly in elements, but I finished it in CS2. I'm positive I could've done everything in elements though. I just don't use that many features in photoshop.
Elements works fine with a tablet. In fact, that is what my tablet came with. It is the best choice for a beginning digital artist in my opinion. -
I can't do much, but I can do something. It's good to see someone do something they know to be the right thing, even when it isn't the easy thing to do.

There needs to be an alternative to Deviantart. Some competition. Is there?

You might be able to build your belt by going to a military surplus store. You can certainly get some pouches.
Make sure to pick up a P38 while you're there too. -
I tried looking for a jacket like that for you but somehow ended up looking at a site about the Mad Max costumes.
I would rig up the blades so they pop out and lock. You'd have to have safe way to do it though, even with a prop blade. -
I guess it does.
The changes are tolerable on my PC, but a real pain on my laptop. I was expecting something a lot more powerful from a feature called superbrowse.
Hopefully this version can block that awful "Windows Security" trojan that sometimes hijacked the page on my school's computers. If it does that I'll be content. -
That was really funny, and excellent choices! I didn't catch the last bit about the Ocho though.
-
I brought down the shadows, but most everything else is maxxed. If I could I would max everything out. I liked the high end shadows. Until I upgrade I'll do what I can with my 9500gt
I would rather have the basic models updated though. That neck goiter thing on the males needs to go and unglue the fingers and toes I say. -
Now I can't just see that I have no messages and close the window.

Happy birthday Amerikatt!
I'm just going to take a nnnnibble.
