Quote:The Hollows IS a Hazard Zone...
A) There used to be a minimum level for entrance, IIRC (though it was quite low)
B) And it is behind those cute lil Hazard gates.
Croatoa, is not... because it is accessible via train, and is basically a city zone.Quote:Going by the original (and long since defunct) methodology that separated the zones, a Trial Zone had a Trial, a Hazard Zone had a monster--the Hollows would be a Trial Zone, and Croatoa a Hazard Zone.
Croatoa = City_03_03
The Hollows = Hazard_01_02 -

Quote:And just to give you an update on this, the print-out maps have all been redone and are available now. I'd recommend using the link to the PDF versions as they'll give you a better quality result for all the changes that were made.Ah, it's mostly the "print out" maps I use, since I can scan with my eyes far faster then my machine can load the little interactive labels. Thanks, good to know those are eventually going to be current. I'm not complaining about the time either; you guys do good work for what I pay you. :P

Yes, they're subject to the same diminishing returns as regular enhancements, but set bonuses can help you offset that by giving global boosts to your damage, recharge, accuracy, etc.
-
If you updated to the most recent version of Glycerine, that's probably not because of the badge not being listed yet.
Edit: That's actually exactly what the problem was. Looks like it's been fixed there now. -
The interactive maps were updated just before I17 went live, but the print-out maps are still in the progress of being updated and overhauled. If you're talking about the in-game maps showing on the site, those haven't been updated. I should still be able to get them up, but I'm pretty sure they won't be carrying over with the BadgeHunter site redesign that's in the works.

Obvious troll is obvious.

Quote:I agree that this is a good idea. (I'm not the sort of badger who's all, "RAR, I HAZ BADGEZ AND I DON'T WANT YOU TO HAZ THEM!" I think the more crazy badgers we have, the better.
)
But I think 500K is a little much, given that a holiday respec costs what, 500 candy canes? I'd make each Anniversary badge 1000 candy canes, tops. A little expensive for the casual player, sure, but readily available to the people who really want them.
I'd also follow through on Positron's push to get the Anniversary badges marked as global badges instead of per-character ones, as he said he'd try to do after the AE badge nerf last Spring...
(And thanks for the gratz, Nericus.)
I had recently posted a suggestion about this in another thread before it was deleted. This isn't as restrictive as my original suggestion was, but I'd go for a solution that would have broader requirements:- 250,000,000 inf
- 1,000 merits
- 500 candy canes
- only purchaseable from the Candy Keeper during winter events
Edit: On further thought, the badge requirements could be scaleable based on how far back you're going. The requirements listed here might be for anything older than, say, two anniversaries ago (or years 1-3 at this time). The badge that was for the previous anniversary (year 4 as of now) would be:- 100,000,000 inf
- 500 merits
- 250 candy canes
- 50,000,000 inf
- 250 merits
- 100 candy canes.

I found that same problem with my updater. Fortunately, I caught it before I went to work this morning and everything had finished by the time I got home.

Quote:*Whew!* I'm glad I've never hunted badgers in this game, then. Now badges, on the other hand, are a different story.I hope it includes badger hunters. I mean, I don't have anything against them. Heck, I am one. But the phrases 'a slap in the face to badgers' or 'hordes of angry badgers' never fail to make me smile.

Once last week, when I checked to see if I could get on test yet, I got a pop-up window at the login screen that said I could make use of the Ultra Mode features with my video card. It gave me an option to set performance, high quality, or not make any changes at that time. I've got an 8800GT, but I've not been able to see how it actually fares because I've still not been invited into closed beta.

Quote:Characters under 40 can hunt in FBZ, too, now that the limits have been removed for SSK.FBZ is a hazard zone, so it always has large spawns, often with bosses. PI is a city zone, so the spawns are based on the number of people nearby.
Because of this, you should hit FBZ if you're trying to hunt them in a small team. If you have a large team, either works, but PI allows people under 40 to join the hunt. -
You'll probably get a faster and better response if you post this in the Technical Issues & Bugs forum.

Quote:According to this page, there are lots of characters with that badge right now. You might want to file a petition about your situation.Can anyone confirm - did the 69 month Vet badges drop? I havn't thought about this for awhile, but it just occurred to me, I got the 66 month last October, and no 69 month yet. I've been here since launch-time, with no interruptions. Any other old-time vets get their 69 month badge, in January, I guess?

The hero login screen music has been remixed, too. The percussion have more reverb, the background strings are more prominent during the crescendo of the main theme, and the overall loop is much shorter, making the theme heard more frequently. Nice little tweaks, I'd say.

Quote:Not yet, anyway.From some of the complaints/bemoans I've read over the last couple of months, there doesn't seem to be any actual End Game content!

Quote:Always willing to jump in and get his hands dirty, Matt “Positron” Miller has handed over day-to-day management of the Design Team to Melissa “War Witch” Bianco so that he can focus on the critically important End Game system in addition to a few other “top secret” initiatives.
As for using set enhancements, that depends on what overall holes you have in your build (like needing more defense or better recharge). Some people will Frankenslot, where they mix-and-match sets to target the most overall enhancement bonus instead of set bonuses. The level of IOs that you use will depend on if you plan to exemp a lot, as most of the bonuses will disappear if you go too far below the enhancement level. Some people will start looking at them in their 40s, but there are some IOs that specifically can't be slotted unless you're level 50.
