If the updater starts running after you quit the game, it's a pre-patch for an issue. This generally means that all of the art assets for the issue are complete, not that the issue is ready for release. This allows you to download the big stuff (new models and textures) while your computer is idle and before the issue hits, rather than being forced to wait for hours before you log in after the issue hits.

When I logged out last night I saw the updater start, and I let it keep running as I went to bed. However when I checked the computer this morning, the download was only halfway done and it looked like all progress had stopped. In fact the updater window was blinking for some reason. I hit cancel figuring it was a glitch. Now I wish I had left it running to give it a chance to finish while I went to work.
I found that same problem with my updater. Fortunately, I caught it before I went to work this morning and everything had finished by the time I got home.

Alright so I got the patch earlier when I logged on today, but when I quit out latter on... The updater came back up and started very slowly downloading a new something - though it said I had an hour wait on it. I quit the update and when i reloaded the updater it had nothing to download, and even verifying files didn't find anything out of the ordinary.
I haven't seen anything about a pre-patch or anything as of yet so I was curious if anyone else was experiencing this phenomena as well and if anyone knew what it was.
