Sexual dimorphism isn't as pronounced in humans as in some species (and there's a metric ton of variation between individuals), but the average woman IS significantly smaller than the average man, both in height and in body mass. Them's the scientific breaks.

You could always poke your nose into AE; the mission architect is quite capable of producing challenges much more formidable than the pre-Incarnate game canon.

    Dr. Geist

There's a high-rated arc featuring him in a prominent role, so he's either in it or someone has a knack for re-creating lore characters.

The same way pummeling someone to a bloody mess cures brainwashing in anime - you literally beat the sense back into them.

Really? Then why do they drop at a fraction of the rate you claim we're meant to use them?

EDIT: It's an honest question. I really can't see any logic to handing something out with an eyedropper when you expect it to be used by the pint.

Just throwing the following baseline out as a suggestion:

Given a mission designed for soloing (ie you can start it and get credit for all objectives while you are not teamed with any other character), the mission should be feasible to complete with any AT at +0/x1.

"Feasible", in this case, would mean you can go in with SOs and maybe a handful of generic IOs and not find yourself pitted against spawns you are mathematically unable to take down without dying or chugging multiple inspirations.

I know what you mean. Finding out that a boss has a fight-reset mechanic automatically generates a collective "not again" groan from every gamer I know, regardless of what game you're dealing with. One lag spike and you have to start over? No thank you.

On the other hand, it could be worse. When this mechanic gets combined with something that weakens your group or strengthens the boss as the fight runs longer, you generally end up with the most hated boss in the content bracket, if not the entire game. Fortunately the devs had the brains to not add the second half of this one-two suckerpunch to Antimatter.

  15. I have Photon Grenade on my Bots MM for the extra mitigation potential when soloing, which I do a lot of (the token damage doesn't hurt either). Being able to stack up stuns and take bosses out of the fight when grouping is gravy.

Plausible, but unlikely. Small coding change, but a potentially significant jump in the load placed on the login server.

    b) Allow supergroups to have members and/or coalitions across multiple servers

    Thoughts?
Even more unlikely, and a bad idea to put in NCSoft's collective head. This would require retooling parts of the game engine, and the game devs have a crummy track record when it comes to messing with the underlying code of the game.

Yes you can, and most of them look flat-out ridiculous when applied to those thigh plates.

Kind of ironic for a game with a miniscule playerbase (relative to its competition) to be so heavily focused around grouping.

Actually, it IS that simple. If/Then/Else is a very powerful override in any programming language, and most of the time and energy for putting said override in place is in finding the start-point of the pet's attack subroutine.

    Sorry, just curious.
For the record, Architect Edition is still available in equal or greater quantities to GR in many areas. Mine, for example. AE was readily available to me, but it took me a month of hunting to track down GR.

This. CoH is about the only MMO I've seen where pets don't have inherent mitigation against enemy aoe, and it shows when they get massacred by the first aoe that comes their way.

Add a couple defenders and you can have flaming frozen bubble zombies on crack.
