Quote:I kind of like the idea of taking this Hurricane of knockback (no pun intended) and controlling it to be useful on a team. Energy/Storm sounds like a fun combination!I am seriously considering making this build. I can only imagine how well this strategy would work with the lag in ITF valley.

You, good sir, have offically turned griefing into an art form. This is surely a work of horrifyingly irritating art. I love it.
and for our own sake...why are you guys giving him suggestions on how to grief even harder...lmao -
Quote:Yeah, and they can see through my stealth too. Like I had on SS+Stealth and they still hit me while i was running past them. That tip is big middle finger from the devs, straight to khelds, heh.
They can't really be avoided, and the only reason it was easy to get past them was because of /SRs defenses.
For a kheld w/o any defense...that's a huge ┌∩┐[o_O]┌∩┐ -

Quote:I love the concept! It's fantastic :3 and the costume is amazing! My Favorite might be a tad messy. Contains Blood. You been warned.
Just a note the Happy Camper gold title was randomly given to me when i was doing a iTrail on a team that had i think A. Hawk and one other. Been a while. I was in a good mood at the time and said so in team chat while waiting and got the title when i was not looking.

Slayan in game bio.
"Born of noble blood to the House of Bloodfire, but shunned by other demons for his half human heritage, Slayan shall be the most powerful incarnate, but not the way the Well of Furies intends. With his blood, he shall slay the other incarnates, and with their blood, he shall have more power. And in the end, the Well of Furies will be no more, and in its place will be the 'bloodwell' that is Slayan.
Blood is his birthright, and through his blood, he has the power over life and creation, destruction and death... From his blood, he creates his army of demons. With his blood, he can grant life to the dead, or curse those that bring upon his wrath.
Death comes in many shapes and forms and sizes. For when you see a small outcast of a misbegotten half-demon, think again of what you will say or do. But it doesnt matter. Eventually all that you will think and do is decide how to die as fast as you can."

My favorite concept toon so far is my Peacebringer: Speedy Avenger
His main host is a tiger like race known as the taurians, which thrive upon the moon of a T-Tauri star. The Kheldian race made it to this moon in search of allies after the distaster of the Kurukt (dwarf) homeworld.
Here, the Kheldian Se'At arranged an allegiance with the Tauri race on the terms that their leader would take in Se'At's essence. With this, they combined to battle the nictus threat and the Taurians joined the Kheldian fight under Se'At's joint leadership.
The "Kheldian Resistance" (his supergroup) persued the nictus between worlds until they reached earth and ultimately paragon city. Here Se'At worked with the vanguard to battle the nictus. During a raid, he found a wounded and dying Vanguard medic lying at his feet clinging to life.
To spare the life of this young man, Se'At divided his essence once more and saved his life.
________________________
To this day, Se'At retains two forms. A melee centric Tauri (white/Black tiger) who sports jump kick, spring attack, radiant strike, I.S., and solar flare. And also a Ranged based medic, who uses the medicine pool, glowing touch, glinting eye, and Gleaming blast to aid his allies in combat, rather than dominate the enemy like his tauri half. Along with this, he has the mandatory Bright nova, and White dwarf forms too.
To really flesh out this concept I've done Four things:- Each form, has it's own respective costume.
- I only use powers while in the correct costume, and I use my own "form change" binds that swap out my first tray, and the costume with the peacebringer shapeshift emote
- Tauri's mode of transportation is Beast run, The Medic's method of movement is hover/fly.
- Se'At's Abilities (incarnates, healing abilities, light form, ect) are in tray two. I only use two trays.
I've essentially made my own "Quad-Form" Kheldian and it is a BLAST
He is literally a well rounded tool box. -
Quote:With that idea in mind, you could also include your Bi/Tri-Curious theories abe! Just for kicksJust when I was about to delete my 34th lvl Warshade, this build is really nice if not inspirational. You should really create a guide that reflects your theories on the forms, common tactics to approaching combat, and maybe even a piece that discusses most hated enemies to easily defeated villains. Good luck & thanks.

Quote:Try to use a good amount of Achille's Heel procs, if you're going for the PB side of things. They can grant a hefty resistance debuff that will, most likely, increase your damage and make it easier to overcome high regen numbers.Oh, I know all the mechanics and everything, I'm just mashing out numbers to see if its possible. If PBs had a -regen debuff of some sort, it would be garunteed. Since that is the only thing that lets ill/rad, ill/cold, and bots/traps solo GMs.
I don't know much about attack chains, but finding the optimal PB attack chain would be helpful for you as well. Aim for perma-Hasten too. -
Quote:Yes it was. If Alien was saying something about you he would have quoted your comment :P...And people are also pretty sure grammar is the exclusive domain of pedants, but your interpretation of his response is not at all clear from the way he worded it.
And he did mention the OP, implying he was talking to the Poster of Said OP. -

Quote:That's awesome! I'm just amazed that they would make this a tip. There must be some limitation preventing Kheldians from getting it...cause that's just insane. Especially an inexperienced Kheldian at that.Haha, I used to have a Void Hunter farm that I did on 54x8 on my Warshade for lol purposes.
Someone who doesn't know much might be afraid to ever do a tip again. -
So, I was running some vigilante tips the other day on my scrapper and I ran into a very interesting mission. It was a council plot, that I had to foil by killing their leader. That seems simple enough, right?
That's where you're wrong. Every spawn i encountered was nothing but VOIDS AND CYSTS! That's right, Kheldian Hell was right before my very eyes. Although this mission wouldn't be much for our eclipsed/Lightform brethren, it would be suicide for those of us without it...considering i got this mission at level 36.
Would you like a picture?
Here's another:

Quote:That's why i said "entirely" silly. Converting some powers to KD would be awesome. :P The OP only asked for what wouldn't fix Khelds. If it asked for what do you think will fix them, I would say convert to KD in some powers and blablabla.Well yeah. No one wants Peacebringers to get the Warshade's slow secondary. We just want it to be Knockdown instead of Knockback. It makes no sense for an AT with higher survivability potential than many Tank sets to need KB for mitigation while knocking things out of range of it's own attacks.
Quote:None of the (good) suggestions called for that. We just want the animations sped up and we want toggles to suppress (remain turned on but not affect us while shape shifted) and then resume working as normal while in human form without having to retoggle.
Which is what I said silly! hehe
And to the Great A.I.B. !
Quote:Oh! Very nice.
Are we still going with the "Abe is able!" slogan?
As I've related before...being Triform...I think that "Change" is still the best platform from which to run.
Thank you noble constituent. I am confident that my points mirror the opinions of the majority of those noble Kheldians scattered throughout this great land.
Your welcome good friend, to arms! For a greater future awaits our alien race. -

Abe, you have got my vote, and you make a very strong point. We don't really have a unified opinion here. On a thread the other day, i was disappointed to see all of our forum greats bickering. :[
Aside from that; I believe that- Removing or converting knockback entirely will never improve peacebringers because they are a different AT then 'Shades so they should have different secondary abilities that require a different playstyle.
- Allowing slotting of the form to affect the form powers themselves will not improve Kheldians, that mechanic would be drastically different from the other ATs in the game. It would lead to over-slotting, for example, if i placed 5 slots into nova's toggle, then i'd be getting the benefit of 25 slots in the powers themselves (not including the inherent slots.) That's a no-no.
- Removing forms will NEVER improve Kheldians, it's their trademark.
I'm not trying to start an argument, or join in on one. So please don't quote my opinion and tell me why I'm wrong. I'm just listing my feelings about Kheldians, that's all. No offense intended -
Quote:haha my /nrg was my first toon too! When Fire and Ice themed Praetorian Kheldians come out I think I'm going to combust from happiness. I have a level 40-Something Energy/Kin Corruptor that I'll never play again. It was my first ever character, and I don't want to talk about it. I can't bring myself to delete him though. >.>
Don't get your hopes up for the fire and ice Kheldians
Although...a "Fire form" does sound pretty awesome. Especially if it had the animation-style of those magma lords in the hollows :3 -
Quote:I noticed! bahaBaha Stone's is a Tank.
You crazy, Fiery Aura is my favorite non-Warshade set in the game. I also share your enthusiasm issue when it comes to getting characters to 50- I only have 6 actually. My Warshade, my Peacebringer, my Fire/Mental Blaster, my SS/Fire Brute, my Spines/Fire Scrapper, and my Fire/Fire Scrapper. Do you see a trend here? I like FIRE!
My sets are all over the board, I don't repeat often.
Actually, the other day i rolled an Energy/Devices blaster. It should be fun. -

Quote:This is the reason I loved the old inherent power. Blasters are squishy out of the box, and the old inherent boosted our damage based on our nearness to death. If i'm squishy with low HP, it only makes sense to keep my damage up when things get hairy.Pretty much this. I used to love Blasters because of their absolute mad damage output and squishiness.
Yeah, the ability to use my first three powers while mezz'd IS handy, but if i find myself mezz'd and facing an angry mob, those first three attacks won't do much to keep me alive. Usually, when i get mezzed I'm destined to die anyways.
Now-a-days I find my blaster running for the hills when my HP drops, but in the old days I would be like "Oh, so you can hit me hard, well i can HIT HARDER" and nail them with my super buff'd attacks. (especially /EM) -
Quote:Hah! I love it!It depends on *how* crazy they get...
If they only get a little crazy, I'd roll Assassination as an Inherent, Defender-version Psychic Blast as a Primary, Stalker-version Willpower as a Secondary, and call it a Sniper
If they got alot of crazy, I'd roll Fury as an Inherent, Super Strength as a Primary, and Umbral Aura as a Secondary, and call it a God
I'd roll a Dp/MA blapper with Peacebringer Inherent. On an entire team of blasters, i would be their king. -
Energy Blast/Manipulation
Kheldian's FTW!
Other than my DP/Fire blaster (which i'm not feeling now-a-days) I haven't loved a powerset enough to get it to level 50. Although, my Katana/Super Reflexes is catching up pretty quick. -
-
I just thought that I would add, there was an awesome Dwarven Dance party this friday just before our citadel!
And then we found some competition, intimidation seemed to be the only clear course of action.

Quote:I'd hate to join in on this argument, But I have to agree with Darth. These powers play MUCH like an energy/energy blaster does. It's a completely different AT that works well with a different playstyle.I have both but I cannot say I see any kb powers in any set as griefing the other powers in the set. It does require a more tactical setup than powers without it, but that is just a style deal and certainly does not fall into the griefing realm.
Yeah, Peacebringers don't shine AS much as their Warshade counterparts (figuratively speaking.) You have to consider that they are a different AT, therefore they require a different playstyle AND specialize in different fields.
Perfect example:
A mez heavy controller (insert powerset here) has powers that synergize with each other, and work well with locking things down. (So they don't "greif" each other, as THB says)
But an energy/energy blaster has powers that focus on tossing things around, keeping enemies on their rear instead of in your face. I play my Peacebringer exactly how I play my energy/energy blaster, and it works superbly.
They're two different creatures, so saying that a Peacebringer's powers "grief eachother" doesn't really make sense. Does Hotfeet greif a /fire blaster because it makes enemies run away from you? No. So why should a Peacebringer's KB be treated the same way? Peacebringers require a different strategy than a 'Shade does.
If the KB were gone I would be really irritated with the devs. Cause Knockback isn't a problem. -
Quote:Sorry to be a bit off topic of the OP,. Good times tho, I miss the variety of builds in the old pvp, you saw toons of all kinds, even Stone Tankers, energy blasters, at least in casual zone they could have fun (yet the 'friendly i13 pvp' made 80% of the builds useless like my dom who relied on slows or the bunch of defensive based toons like all the Ice/EM tankers I used to see).
I remember the old PvP, just before I took a vacation from CoX. I know exactly what you mean by a "variety of builds." I used to actually run my Peacebringer through Sirens call, actively, and it was a blast! I really wish PvP was better for CoX because it would really open a new world to me.
Tricking and clobbering the NPCs gets boring over time. -
Quote:Honestly, aside from form shift times being a bit long. I'd really like a fluent animation between nova and dwarf. Instead of:I'm personally not gonna play my Kheldian anymore until these changes happen.
In my head, Kheldians should be flowing, moving from 1 form to the next. They are the closest thing to shape shifters and they should be able to switch forms quickly with one toggle, for example, switching to Nova for a quick few blasts as a opening attack, then Dwarf to taunt, then human to debuff etc.
OK, simplified view, but I do think they should be more fluid and be able to change forms without the long animation. Right now it just feels clunky.
Would you guys mind having odd animations for a bit in return for the faster change?
*nrggg*nova form activated*
*poof*human form again?
*nrggg*Dwarf form activated
Like some sort of energy dissolve, where your body becomes invisible and seems to burst into luminous energy, then reforms to the body of a dwarf/nova.
Aside from that, I think Kheldians really good functioning ATs as is. I play my peacebringer as something, completely impractical and it works really well and is still fun to play.
*impractical = no perma hasten, no softcapped defenses, all forms, AND i actively use jump kick and spring attack in my attack chains*Yay quadform! (and no, not the light form kind)
I don't really mind NOT getting a buff this time around. The last buff gave me enough resolve to dust off my retired PB and make him fun again.
This time around, buffs that are needed elsewhere are drawing my attention and causing me to look into different aspects of the game I wouldn't have imagined using before. Like a stalker, or a grav controller.
