Peacebringers do still need to be buffed so that their endgame performance is closer to warshade performance.
But that's an archetype balance issue. Not a player whim issue. -
Quote:My sarcasm-meter just went off.I agree; before it was impossible for forms to gain the advantage of fitness so many Kheldians voluntarily didn't take them. Now all Kheldians will gain fitness powers that work in all forms. The poor normal Humans without a Kheldian symbiote are stuck with gaining what most of them have always had and struggling with the new concept of slot deprivation. Buff the Humans!

I like my statement. Nothing else to add.

Jade_Dragon has shown me the light!
The problem with the Sands of Mu, Flurry, Shadow Maul attack chain was unequal acc slotting.
Since you can't slot Sands, don't slot the other two for ACC. Then get tactics and slap on the +tohit IO.
Profit? -
Quote:The purple patch is what makes higher level foes hit you harder, make you do less damage and affects the level of debuffs against you and them.... the what now?
EDIT: I enhanced the -ToHit with two level 45 ToHit Debuff IO's. Now I don't know the numbers that come out of that, but I can guarantee you it's not the vanilla -ToHit. Anyone have that number and, if you're willing, able to tell me what it equates in Defense?
So if I have X tohit debuff I place on an enemy, it does X against and even level, a bit less against a +1, even less against at +2 and so on.
I had thought that ALL debuffs are affected by the purple patch including damage debuffs.
In Darkest Night's case, for a brute, the base values are:
-21% damage
-10.5% tohit
I *think* tohit buffs are in the same class as defense buffs, so 3 SOs of tohit buff in DN would punch that 10.5 to -16.38% tohit debuff. Against a +0 minion, that tohit buff would act exactly like +16.38% defense. However, as the rank and level of the enemy goes up, that value will drop.
I'm somewhat sure that the same occurs on the damage debuff, but I don't know how the purple patch affects damage debuffs. -
All four open up at level 2.
-
Aren't damage debuffs also affected by the purple patch?
-
I think it far more likely that Paragon has a "post if you want to" policy in place and BAB chose to close off communication of his own accord.
Translation: "I am sick and tired of dealing with players and their damned animation requests." -
Quote:Another reason I've kept fly in my build for as long as I have. Yea, KoA have some -fly as well, but they don't seem to use it much... or it keeps missing due to being SR.When I was leveling my /SR Scrapper, I despised Knives of Artemis with a passion - stupid Caltrops! Fortunately, a /SR Brute isn't likely to face KoA all that often. I only mention this because nobody else was talking about KoA, which either means that they don't spam Caltrops as much, or that it's not as threatening (not to mention humiliating) to die from 50 stacks of Caltrops in one place. Or that I was leveling back when people herded the entire Chimera map and less stupid (and today, more possible) pulls aren't gonna stack that many Caltrops.

Another note on exemplaring: There's also the question of whether one should care about it at all.
When do you exemplar? For lower level TFs or to assist lowbie buddies, right?
I soloed the primary blueside TFs with a build that was in no way planned out for exemplaring and that was before you got +5 levels worth of powers out of the deal. You just don't need that kind of min/maxing unless you're planning around level capping a character for some specific purpose, in which case you're not giving thought towards a level 50 maxed build anyway.
The point being that while exemplared, max performance isn't going to matter much.
A fully cranked level 50 is going to have purples. Don't purples retain their bonuses completely while exemplared as long as the power they are slotted in is accessible? You've already got a major leg up on anyone at the natural level you're being reduced to.
I can't afford to IO out multiple builds either. Too time consuming. As I'm not a marketeer, I don't have the funds. I don't see the reason for more. With my PvE build, I do just fine while exemplared, I do just fine in PvP. I need no other build. -
It was just buffed. What attacks do you have right now?
-
They just added the ability to get them with HV merits. The +def is 30 HV merits.
If you do nothing but tips, then it will take you 60 days to get one.
If you also buy HV merits for the 20mil + 50reward merits = 1 HV merit, you can drop that down to 20 days.
Is 400 million + 1000 reward merits + farming tips every night worth more to you than 2 billion inf? -
... I see. Competition, then.
Fine.
105,000,001 inf -
I'll open bidding at 100 Million inf.

Quote:Cept for that part where all of the characters were ripoffs of existing characters.
we can rest assured that Alan Moore's original book is quite, well, ORIGINAL on its own without being fed through this sort of Hollywood meat grinder. -
Apparently DP/Rad corruptors can lay down their target based toggles without having DP redraw... much to my surprise... and if that's true, then there's not much of a case for other powers causing redraw other than "we don't have time to fix them all."
-
I hold no ill will toward the developers for creating a pack that I have absolutely no interest in purchasing.
I am also lacking the Valkyrie pack.
Am I supposed to be angry and bitter about this? I can't seem to muster any emotion toward it at all. -
Because inv isn't able to give the character a 65% damage buff and capped DDR?
-
Darc_Ranger, do you not plan on putting any extra slots into the inherent fitness powers?
-
Maybe it's nothing more than the difference of being able to run at +2/x8 and +4/x8.
I got hooked on tough and weave because my main is SR. Before IOs, tough gave me extra s/l dam-res to take the edge off when I was getting hit. Weave added more defense which is necessary for SR's survival. Now with IOs, tough is the only spot to place the Steadfast +Def unique and weave is a fine set mule as well as the help it gives getting to the softcap.
I won't be taking tough and weave on my new fire/fire tank, but his entire concept is based on dying a lot and dishing out ridiculous damage when he's not eating dirt.
Together, tough and weave add mitigation. Mitigation allows you to handle more incoming damage and stay upright. This allows for faster leveling, faster farming, and the ability to stand up to harder targets.
In my head, skipping the fighting pool is the same as running without stamina. Sure, you can do it, but you'll be better off with it. -
Quote:So change builds before exemplaring?yeah this is the part folks keep glosing over. Even if you plan your build along the way for them, even if you respec into them, and even if you use the third build, the second you exemp all that building doesn't matter.
Just an option. I don't see any exemplaring in BZB's future once the incarnate stuff drops if there's any truth toward the new end game content being much more difficult and soloable. -
Quote:Is it not possible that one of the Incarnate Powers IS the granting of traditional slots? Also THIS.
Bottom line: better to nip the idea that Incarnates is somehow more traditional slots , powers, and levels, cause it's not. I'd rather that be clear than have folks be disappointed and ***** at the devs as they usually do when they get misinformation.
This is all subject to change if the devs decided to completely revamp the ALPHA slot. -
Quote:Then its entirely possible that any mention of extra slots by the devs were being based on the alpha slot which they might be considering a "universal slot." As it does grant extra enhancement to all powers.
The four Incarnate slots that were revealed did not come with extra slots in my observation.
Quote:If you have information beyond the first five slots and it didn't come from the GR beta, it's in your best interests to stop talking about it.
Regardless, it doesn't make the case for suddenly needing more slots. No character in this game is going to become less powerful because fitness is being made inherent. There is no nerf to correct with a balance move of any sort. We are all being given the ability to choose an extra power pool that were aren't able to at the moment.
Just because someone doesn't like that builds are going to be more slot starved than they are now means nothing. -
I'm not talking about the alpha slot. I'm talking about extra slots coming from one of the other 9 incarnate groups.
Best not to attempt to correct someone when you aren't on the same page that they are.
The devs have alluded to extra slots being part of the incarnate system. Yes, they could have tossed that away. In which case I'll state that I see no reason for extra slots due to fitness going inherent.
