If your way of letting us know you want us to move faster is turning your health bar red, you're going to get let go.
[/ QUOTE ]
That's too bad. When my health bar is red, that means my damage resistance is cranked up and the likelihood of my death is very slim. -
Nice but confusing info.
Glad I kept it in followup. -
There's no animation for when it goes off. I don't think that there's even a buff icon for it anymore.
The only way I notice it firing off is when I'm watching my global damage buff in the combat monitor.
The other way to note when it fires is to add the text for (it's either healing delivered or healing received, I can't remember) to one of your chat boxes as it pops up there as well.
However, the proc DOES function. Sadly, due to the apparently not so hot random number generator this game uses, you might find that it's pretty streaky.
I use both the decimation: cfbu in focus and the gaussian: cfbu in followup.
Sometimes, they'll fire off one after the other and I'll have a lovely 200% extra damage slapped on for a few attacks. Sometimes it seems like forever between procs.
In the end, though, they do function and do so on average of 5% of the time. -
psst: 850 total, 750 as per the combat monitor
-
I don't see why it wouldn't check against each target hit.

Nice build, man. -
Basing any decision on a thread started by him is probably a very bad idea.
Claws works well with anything. I kill extremely fast with my claws/sr. And my claws/inv.
If you need more damage, do claws/dark for the damage aura. I'd say the same about FA, but I will never recommend that set to anyone without a pocket defender/corruptor. -

If I was team leader and you were running unnecessarily quickly into battle and putting the rest of the team to any kind of risk, I would give you three warnings before kicking you from the team.
I can almost guarantee that one or more other members of the party would then congratulation me on my patience in allowing you the opportunity to curb your impulsive behavior.
I know, because I have had to do this on more than one occasion.
If I wasn't leader, and I saw you repeatedly putting the team at risk. I would say something. If there wasn't a change, then I would simply quit the team and find/start another one.
Once you are on a team, it isn't just about you. You aren't solo. You are part of a team. Act like it.
[/ QUOTE ]
People with your playstyle bore the crap out of me and cause me to quit teams.
This is a game to be played for fun. 99% of the content is a joke we can breeze through with our eyes closed.
So when you're on a team, remember that this is a game and that some folks don't have fun when the "leader" is playing pretend that certain doom will happen if the scrapper goes off ahead of the team. -

While calling it is a bit better than predicting the sun will rise tomorrow, I doubt they'll be registering you as a paranormal

NOOOOO!!!! Only my incredible and netherworldly powers could have possibly been the cause of me seeing the probability of the devs continuing their normal MO with regards to the graphics engine used in this game!
How DARE you imply otherwise?!?!!?
... -
Sounds like you need to read Arcanaville's Guide to Defense.
The answer is no. Higher level and higher rank (until +6 and over) only gives accuracy bonuses. If you're already at 45% defense, more defense or tohit debuffs will not further lower the chance of you being hit.
However, if the enemy you are facing has a tohit buff power on it, then darkest night will take some of the edge off of that.
The damage debuff from DN will always help you out, but it will become less effective as you face tougher enemies due to enemy scaling. -
I ran an ice/em tank into the high 30s before deletion. I had all the binds in place for proper herding. After deleting that character, I moved the "herding to here" bind to both my main scrapper and main brute. Never use them much, but it's nice to do as a joke from time to time.
-
Nice.
Ran into a BOSS_NAME mission as well yesterday. Was filled with Longbow minions and LTs all called "Minion."
None of them would attack me and all of them would flee as soon as I tagged them a few times.
Total PITA, but I got a demorecord to shoot off to the devs. -

Yea, but he hurls it at AVs as a minor disorient when they tick him off. -
[ QUOTE ]
Aw man, am I gonna have to update this antique?
[/ QUOTE ]
We don't know.
Graphics updates can mean two things:
The devs have found a way to update the engine so that overall performance is increased. This would be new.
The devs are dumping more crud in to make everything prettier and more cluttered as they did with CoV and the subsequent CoH texture upgrades. This is the normal MO and what I expect to occur. This means that yes, everyone will need to upgrade in order to maintain the performance they have now.
I started a thread in the tech forum about this topic but no information of worth came from it.
We'll know when I-16 goes live and we log on to test. -
I probably would take it on a tank. As a tank my job would be to protect those around me and GC fits that role.
Not that I play tanks, mind you. -
Alt_oholic,
I think your big picture is skewed. A scrapper's job is to kill. It's not a tank sent in to manage aggro. It's not a defender sent in to buff, debuff or heal. It's not a controller sent in to lock the spawns down.
It has one job: Destroy the enemy.
Grant Cover detracts from that role by forcing the scrapper to hang around either others with GC, or way too close to squishies to provide what defense it does provide while increasing the risk for squishies by bringing more aoe down on their heads.
Either way, it interferes with mobility and thus damage output.
Selfish? No. Job minded? Yes. -

I suppose to balance its "team utility."
[/ QUOTE ]
No, Sam, it's balanced by the extra damage it provides, just like fiery aura. Fortunately for shields, it's far easier to softcap SD than it is FA. -
Ignoring the content helps. Most of my characters are murderous bastiches regardless of what "side" they're on.

I enjoy both sides, I must be some kinda freak.

Incidently, you do know that ending a sentence with "of" violates at least one English rule, right?

That reminds me of a book...a series actually. The Guardians of the Flame. Fabulous read.
I would quite the line I'm reminded of. unfortunately, I'd get in trouble.

One of my favorites as well. Why, yes, I would have also freed the dragon and disemboweled slavers. -
If you can find a way to have tough, weave and darkest night all stacking on willpower, you won't be dying very often.
-
The Repeat Offenders proved that quite easily.
EDIT: Then again, I did a 5th diff ITF with nothing but scrappers, so the statement is true for all ATs.
