Super crutch?
Would you call DM's Siphon a super crutch? The current super-scrapper playing DM/SD would not be able to survive without the constant use of SL in their attack chains. What about Follow Up from Claws? Blinding Feint from Dual Blades? Can we even go so far as calling the Invincibility power from Invulnerability it's crutch?
The primaries have different aspects about them. Why does a tool to get additional defense = super crutch, especially when you have to sacrifice a good portion of DPS for it?

Logic's a little off on Claws and DB.
If Parry is Broadsword's crutch, then SiphonLife is Dark's, and Shockwave is Claws'.
FU and BF are the buildups of the set.
Beyond that, I'm in agreement with you. DA/Parry are a HUGE benefit. But so are all the other utility powers and secondary effects from every other primary. -

Update: Just logged back on and played for about 25-30 mins. Zero issues. Nothing but low cut grass in the netgraph. 149 ping. All seems clear at this time.

I believe Pinnacle is an east coast server. Yup, verified:

EDIT: Side note since I haven't been hanging in the tech forum lately...
When troubleshooting ANYTHING, a tech should ALWAYS assume the problem starts with the end user and their rig. 9 times out of 10, the problem is found there. I actually assumed the problem was on my end at first. That's why I bounced my modem and router and restarted my rig.
It wasn't until after I asked if anyone else was experiencing out of the norm lag/comm failures (and found many stating similar issues) that I began to think the problem was outside of my home/ISP. -
Netgraph shows a sudden series of retransmits occurring, no input gets through to server, downstream remains clean.
Outcome: Enemies still attack and damage me without issue while I'm left unable to fight back in anyway.
This goes on for about 20 seconds each time. Happens around once every 15 minutes or so.
Cable modem bounced. Router bounced. Same issue.
Anyone else seeing this?
Scanning system now for bad things, but as it is never used for anything but gaming, I'm betting that this is a backbone or server side issue. -

I once griped about IOs turning Elude into a meaningless power by allowing us to permanently ride the softcap. However, it's not meaningless against DE and those damned tohit buff drops they use.
But I don't run into DE very much at 50. I dropped elude for conserve power. Better end buff, no crash. Superior choice for me.
Were elude turned into a clone of the current MoG, I'd take it in a heartbeat. Not that it will happen, but I'd dig it. -

The only change that will need to occur after I-16 goes live is the addition of the brute evasion taunt aura to scrapper SR.
And more proliferation.
And talons instead of wrist mounted claws.
And bigger mouths with more sharp, pointy teeth.
Only four changes need to be made to scrappers after I-16.
And click mez protection acting as a breakfree.
FIVE changes... only five changes after I-16 goes live.
