tough + sr
If you're fighting an AV that does majority Lethal/Smash, I'd say go for it.
For minions, lts, and bosses you probably won't notice it that much considering how quickly they should be dying.
Damage Proc Mini-FAQ
Just noticed Damage Proc Mini-FAQ wasn't working with new forums, it's been updated.
On my SR scrapper, I usually leave it off. Only turn it on in unusual circumstances like if I anticipate a lot of defense debuffing or an AV fight. Other than that, the occasional lucky blow will generally not be enough to warrant turning it on.

I find tough helpful to prevent you from being a one trick defense pony. Yes, I understand the scaling resistance mechanic involved in SR, but I still prefer reducing/avoiding incoming damage before it gets to that point of despair. If you have endurance issues, it might be better left off unless you are in a particular battle with a heavy hitter. On mine, I normally leave it on.
Words to the wise aren't necessary- it's the stupid ones that need them.
"You're right...I forgot...being constantly at or the near the damage cap is a big turn off. Definitely not worth it."

I leave it on. More s/l dam-res to stack on the PSDR, more time for my regen to do its thing.
Be well, people of CoH.
Tough + Scaling Resists = Yummy!

I personally don't like turning some toggles on and other off. It just bugs me. So if it doesn't give you end issues, leave it on. When you *do* get hit, it probably won't hurt so much as almost all attacks have a smashing or lethal component to them.
Tough + scaling resistance + -dmg from darkest night = the sexy
especially when fighting a closely packed mob of bosses (or mobs of mobs), that "random number generator hates you!" streak can end up not killing you outright.
if its not an end problem use like they said. i mean who wants to be 2shoted bye a rikti swd those things hurt.
Endurance shouldn't be an issue on a DM/SR. I run tough/weave on my EM/SR w/o severe endurance problems and I"ve got no recovery powers.
I would say run it, softcapped or not, things can still hit you. It will help a lot for those cascade failures. Believe me cascade def failures will happen even if you're softcapped.
He's right. On the ITF, all those -def debuffs caused my defense to cascade all the way down to 53% from 55%.
The 95% Def debuff protects SR from pretty much all defense debuff.
Topic: I run Tough on my Fire/SR since I have nearly zero mitigation in my primary. If I ever start running low on end (usually due to outside sources; sappers, carnies), then Tough is the first thing to be de-toggled.
Okay so i have tough on my DM/SR toon because i want to grab weave. The question I have is should i even bother turning it on? My build will be soft caped and I'm not sure if its worth it. Thanks for any help.
