I used to get a lot of positive comments about Lunk before he went back to hero-side. But then he was more of an anti-hero than villain, but there was still several traits that stand out.

1) Twisted logic and morality: the self justification of acts of evil. "Muhahahah! im evil!" gets boring fast. In a good villain's mind he's right, and the hero is wrong.

(lunk example: EVIL's kidnap plot for an unidentified group of heroes in the Isles turns out to include a personal friend (Coile), who is then strapped to a bed for 3 days, yet still chatted to as if nothing is wrong. but hey, thats business.)

2) Not just all hot air. It's all fine and good throwing around threats about feeding to shark's, but its another thing entirely to carry it through.

(the entire destruction of an African town and hundreds of casualties amongst the residents whilst breaking into the national reserve)

3) Presence: a good villain inspires fear and hate. They have to be suitable enough for a hero to 'hero' against. Captain Elasto may look dandy in his rubber suit, but if he's as intimidating as a wet cloth, and just as big a threat, he's not getting very far. You have to love to hate them.

(during the Bonefire Havok plot, there was a moment where Lunk confronted the Havok brothers, [censored] off about paying for a failed assassination attempt on Bonefire, and threatening the pair.
It was described OOC by one of the brothers players as "causing his nuts to shrivel" in fear in RL" )

lol, no, beccy is, and it IS twins.

I read them. or i should say, i skim them for things i find interesting (names i know, or plot bits im following) then read properly if i find any.

RP wise, im busy fixing up Lunk's stuff (licence, pregnancy, the hunt) and with The Psychogenic's, so i'm usually outside of these plots, so the recaps are great, as it lets me see what other parts of the community are up to.

as for them being long winded? well, i'd rather read something verbose and creative than something that doesn't have enough information in it.

Keep churning them out, coile, we'll keep reading them.

but yes, Helios is right, this all boils down to an OOC argument weeks ago.

That argument bled into echo's IC feelings, i lost my rag at him for it, and its been going downhill since then.

that "small" change on the forum had big consequences.
Pressing a delete button on everything on a server would still of been a "small" action.



There is also the case of the salvage stolen by members of 'pact' as they left.

I have tried on occasions to repair our friendship, echo, but all i was met with was hostility. even after my outburst on the forums, i might of possibly one day said "okay... maybe try and repair some of the burnt bridges"

But that petty, childish action really stamped on that idea.




perhaps your little defence would of been more suited on EVIL's old forum, rather than cluttering a thread MEANT to be promoting EVIL's change of ownership))

we'll we've got a reasonably well balanced team, we should walk over most things. anyone got any arguments against top difficulty? or one down, for that truly 'out numbered' feeling?

The serpent darts forward, as the giant steps aside, and pushes the creature's face into the dirt. Kneeling over it as he begins to pound his energy wrapped fists into the back of the skull of the wildly thrashing snake.

okay, sounds like that's the time then. and i'll be back from sam's in the afternoon, so i'll have time to settle down a bit before we start

((just want to say best of luck to kelvin and Tress/HH who are taking over what's left of EVIL. I'll be leaving the SG myself next month.

rather annoyed to find out today that one of the people who left EVIL, and head hunted a lot of our core members, took it on themselves to also vandalise our forum too, by deleting all the access masks.

But EVIL's gone through a lot before, and hopefully now it will come back stronger ))
