End of EVIL!

In a surprise move, the assets of the troubled mercenary operations group known as the European Villainous Immorality League (better known as EVIL) have been eagerly snapped up by Canadian venture capitalist company Dion Holdings Inc. in a rumoured $90million deal with former chairman Ben 'Big Lunk' Campbel.

A spokesperson for Dion Holdings Inc. told this paper "The $90million price tag was an absolute bargain for these assets. Mr Campbel has been a pleasure to do business with. As for our plans, well, we are shutting down EVIL as a business. All property and personnel are being transfered to Dion Holdings Inc. with immediate effect. I'm afraid I can't tell you any more details."

The spokesperson refused to be drawn on ending this long-established company, and only chose to say that there would not be any "compulsory" redundancies amongst EVIL's staff.

((Now the OOC stuff... EVIL has been taken over by Dion Holdings Inc. and to public knowledge EVIL has been disbanded from 9/9/07. Only current members of EVIL know that it continues to exist.))

((Should clarify that... EVIL still exists! its not really disbanded, its just a change in group movement))

I wanted this story ont he wiki, so I've written a magazine entry for it by Hero Magazines. Hope you don't mind? Here it is:

Dion Holdings consumes EVIL

Rogue Isles based mercenary organisation, European Villainous Immorality League were apparently rescued from financial breakdown last week by the eager vultures of the financial world, the Canadian venture capitalist company Dion Holdings Inc. It is rumoured that a $90million deal settled the transfer of all assets from former chairman Ben '[[Big Lunk]]' Campbel. A spokesperson for Dion Holdings Inc. confessed that "the $90million price tag was an absolute bargain" and that "Mr Campbel had been a pleasure to do business with". The shock of the story comes when the spokesman was asked about the future of the league. "We plan to shut down EVIL as a business. All property and personnel are being transfered to Dion Holdings Inc. with immediate effect." Clearly a complete takeover. One can only wonder exactly what Dion Holdings plan to do with all those skilled mercenaries and expensive weaponry. Are these vultures the new Crey Industries? Only time will tell. Either way, we have our heroes to protect us. < Monica Stella.
