    Signature arcs?

I already posted this in another thread, but, I started the Alastor arc tonight. Did the first mission (had the load screen sort of like the new tutorial, but said part 1 of 7).

Will finish this first part tomorrow I reckon.
  2. So... I just started the arc with Alastor. I had no idea I could.

Said part 1 of 7 so... This will take a while. Only did the first mission (it is like a task force) and logged to get some sleep. Continue on with it tomorrow.
  3. Spines/fire is a fine scrapper build for farming. However, you may have to create your own AE environment, since you may have mobs running all over the place.

    I21 Mids

    can I get a WITNESS?!?!

I never thought I was all that good with Mids... But, honestly, I have really come to rely on the number crunching!
  5. Yeah, I'm calling "bullet-proof vest/blood pack/using Beckett as bait for the REAL killer" scenario.
  6. I rolled fresh toons on Exalted for the express purpose of running all the new content...

So, I did the Twin-Shot arcs and the Dr. Graves arcs.

Each one has 3 sets of missions and each one is supposed to give you important information about the mechanics of the game.

Hard for me to say if they succeeded, seeing as how I've played this game for years.

But, Twin-Shot railroaded a lot less than Graves did. The only thing that really and truly annoyed me on the hero side was Grym telling me he smelled my fear... I call BS on that one, since I was beating up stuff that dropped all the others. Even Twin Shot calling me "kiddo" all the time wasn't too bad.

Now, for the first 2 sets of missions for Dr. Graves, I admit, I was thoroughly disappointed. Every hack plot device, every M.Night Shamalamadingdong "with a tweest!" twist, and every tired and weary (and very 'not me') dialogue tree I trudged through just because I wanted to get it over with.

Then, along comes the 3rd and final story arc.

Admittedly, I saw this coming a mile away. However, I enjoyed the 3rd one much more. Also, Crosscut actually backing you up during one fight when you're not sure who is going to attack you next was kinda cool. Crosscut is the saving grace of this set of arcs. He is twisted, demented, freakish, and as we used to say back home, "10 pounds of wrong in a 5 pound bucket."

Nevertheless, I am glad the arc is over. I may play it again for a badger, but I doubt it. I will play the Twin Shot arc again though.
  7. Forts are the one Epic I've never taken to 50... They just don't speak to me...

  8. This was one of those stories I read about last year, saw a bit of the coverage about, and promptly forgot.

    Til now.

    http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/htm...ronboy17m.html

The Make-A-Wish Foundation and the entire City of Seattle really stepped up to the plate on this one. It is always nice to hear how we can behave with one another...
  9. You all are to be stopping making the air sounds, or my bubble of feelings will, as you say, hurl itself towards the waters.

    *Hoorb*
  10. She doesn't play anymore, but the account we shared sits unused.
  11. Invul DOES take time to develop.

Invul enjoys a fair amount of awesome once Invincibility shows up, yes.

It certainly is not an offensive set like, say, Fiery Aura or Electric Armor.

If you want an offensive tank that can survive, get electric armor.
If you want an offensive tank that can survive with LOTS of inf, get fiery aura.

If you want to waltz through material with ne'er a thought to your survival, get stone and get a killer set of granite.

However, if you want to cap S/L resists, have decent resists to everything else beside, and soft-capped defense to S/L and E/NE with only 1 foe in range, then I reccomend Invul.

This is my Main character, Beorn. He is the first toon I ever got to 50, and I have been playing him on and off since issue 1. He's not flashy, and energy melee means on occasion he'll kill things already very dead, but against static targets, he hits hard.

There are NO purples or PvP IOs in this build. Yet, he manages every trial in the game and survives just fine. Every so often an orange insp must be consumed, but he'll do just fine.

    Hey everyone, Beorn again.

TopDoc sent me this to post here. He's not been banned, but he IS one of the folks who have been hit by the can't-log-into-the-forum bug. And he writes:

My CEBR mission got banned around the time I hit 40, even though I wasn't triggering MARTy (that I noticed). I /petitioned it, asking why it was banned, and stating that I have been discussing it openly in the CoH forums for a month and a half. I was told the petition would be reviewed by a Senior Specialist and I should receive a reply by Wednesday 6 PM. So far I haven't heard anything. I looked around and found a few other CEBR missions, so I used them to hit 50.
So, let us just relax, hang loose, and see where this goes.

By the way, I received this email around 45 minutes ago. Posted as soon as I could.

  17. There are certain things I simply don't care for...

The new content is great for the standard ATs, but the Epic ATs (both hero and villain) have the same story arcs as before. So, if I would like to, say... get my spider or widow to lvl 24 so I can respec and start the REAL adventure, I should.

The "teachable" arcs for both red and blue side are fun and I am doing them. As a matter of fact, I am leveling so fast that I miss certain arcs in Atlas entirely because of that. I've yet to figure out what that fella from SERAPH wants from me, and I've not done the Lt. Harris? arc since beta.

ONE sewer trial is all it takes to level past some of the early content. But, that is as the devs want it.

Yeah, I thought I might, I was just not thrilled with the idea of doing so...

    Thank you!
  19. I went onto my master account (I have 3 accounts, but only 1 is active).

However, that account is scheduled to come up in a few days.

I cannot remember if I have it on a recurring billing or not, and there does not appear to be a way to check.

    My options are:

    Cancel VIP
    Apply Game Time Card
    Redeem Code
    Buy More Points

It tells me I have a 3 month sub, but since it is coming up, and I don't remember if I have it on auto, I want to find out and if so, renew for a different amount.

I don't want that day to come rolling around and find myself locked out.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
  20. The lichen-infested Warwork very nearly got us, but, and I am happy to say I came up with this all on my own, I taunted him waayyyyyy back to the portion of the cave where there are only 1-2 lichen... After that, we defeated him (with 2 seconds to spare).

The seed of Hamidon was another matter... We ran out of time, and I was confused a great deal. My judgement didn't even seem to phase the SoH, but we did our darndest.

The length of the trial was certainly a factor, but, to the credit of the folks on Freedom (some of whom can be impatient), we stuck it out even though we did not prove victorious.

    Next time...
  21. They got rid of Max whats-his-name from the first 2 seasons because no one liked him, but the reason they said they replaced him with that other computer guy was to give more realism...

And then they do THIS horse hockey...

This is some seriously Pancaked waffled CREPES! Whatever, I play the game and I have fun, but this does seem rather a put-down.
  23. well, to be honest, it remains in the next to last spot, not the very bottom, so, still, inaccessable.

    Nope...

    Exalted stays at the bottom....
