I just found it more boring than anything.

I have run it once on my main alt, I was not expecting us to succeed since everyone was new to it, and sure enough we failed. The leader dropping team mid-trial, long before it became evident that we were in fact going to lose, did not exactly help matters. Then he weas right back on the Virtue TF channel trying to form another league.... LMAO

The problem for me is, I don't particularly CARE about unlocking Hybrid. I honest-to-God, reallyreally just don't care - so that carrot-and-stick approach so loved by the development team is not working well in this instance. I have no urge to put all of my level 50s through this grind. It'll be interesting to see just how many people are still running this, say.... in about a month.

So bad is this problem in Lambda, that I actually ended up deleting my baby Beast MM over it. Too many times the league is sitting at the main door, waiting for it to be time to acid the portals shut when all of a sudden, golly gee look! All of someone's Beasts, lead by that most annoying Direwolf [and does that thing ever SHUT UP, and here I was thinking Demons were bad...!].... when all the Beast pets break lose and make for Marauder as if they were so many arrows speeding to a bulls-eye. And suddenly its on, whether we are ready or not. Nice.

The MM in question always says they're trying to heel, but the pets are ignoring him or her. Is this true? I dont know, and have little inclination to find out. I'm not getting another MM to 50 only to find they cant participate in half the end-game content anyways: as it is My MMs have yet to run LAM, TPN, Keyes or MoM - I may be crazy, but stupid I am not. The people I see dragging MMs through these trials almost never make a decent fist of it and end up causing tons of trouble.

Trials well-behaved MMs do well on: BAF, UG. Maybe DD. And that is IT.

I am playing a MM. In fact, two of them.

Rather than encouraging others to play them, it'd be great if we had fewer people playing them.

Most people seem unwilling to invest the time and energy needed to make sure they're not running wild. I wish I had a dollar for every time pets go streaking off into the distance when a Tank is trying to pull Seige to the desired spot. Repeated requests to heel pets go unheeded.

Yeah, have to say this AT really ought to have an IQ test attached before you can roll one. The only thing worse than a careless MM is a careless Stormy - and don't get me started on THEM.

Can't speak for everyone, but it's sure a factor in MY staying out of there.

The mere memory of my level 19? 'troller facing off against Vanessa DeVore and EIGHT copies of Vanessa.... uh, how about no.

Overall the mobs are absolutely brutal for squishies, and instead of facing three at once, solo players on +0 often faced swarms of seven or more - AT LOW LEVELS. And another wave will be comin' 'round the mountain in 5... 4... 3... 2...

Every now and then I run someone with shields through the First Wards arcs for giggles. But squishies? Hell to the no.

This kind of brutality is not how you win hearts and minds into sticking around in a zone.

I am tired, tired, oh so very tired of this type behavior being defended as "oh, that's just his way" or "oh, he's just telling the truth."

Truth-telling need not be defined as intended-to-provoke snark and just general disregard for the feelings of others. There is a HUGE school of thought online in particular, that rudeness is the new currency, its the new way to go, rudeness is power and if you cant handle being flamed, well you are just WEAK, and get your sorry @ss offa the Interwebs and STAY GONE, YOU CAREBEAR.

Dude, do NOT quit over the forums. What goes on here and in the game are two completely different things. Night and day different! People tend to be extremely dogmatic here and they absolutely will attack as a group, aka "dogpiling" any time the whim strikes them. Not that this is happening in here, but just a general warning.

Just shrug it off, or give the forums a break for a while, I find both of those tactics extremely effective. We have certain people who have been here a long time, who feel that that long-timeness gives them a License To Rude. Laugh it off and go on your way.

So, everyone who writes for Marvel is "intensely morally disturbed"? Because the Marvel U has been throwing villains in the Vault or Ravencroft, and using them as guinea-pigs for decades now. Also, don't read Marvel's recent "Carnage: Family Feud" TPB because you just might have an aneurysm at what is done to Carnage in the name of science. Carnage is not at ALL a nice guy, but that's why I love him... and what is done to him is in no way right and backfires horribly on his tormentors. One example of DOZENS over the years.

But in answer to the above, you need to get out more. We are discussing comic books and games, not real-life acts. People summoning zombies can't happen in real life. Which is kind of a shame.... and would be morally wrong, but moving on:

There is a grain of truth to the above, but I still hate Longbow and I still think they are douches. They're even douches when you show up to rescue them, like that Dietrich person in some RWZ arc somewhere! I always let her die first, whereas the force-field guy is a little politer, so I let him tag along.

I can do that as a villain, because I'm a villain. Longbow should just be honest and admit that they're not one whit less villainous than I am, despite the happy-happy joy-joy white outfits with stars on 'em. Using a flamethower on me reduces them to my level; they should be intent on capturing me and throwing me in the Zig for future study, or to brainwash me into working for them in the future.

Frying villains like a french-fry at McDonald's is not changing hearts or minds. And it makes them villains too, but ones unwilling to admit to themselves what they really are.

I have not and will never pay money to level faster, but for those who want to purchase xp boosters.... its not hurting my game.

With that said, when my people hit certain milestones they'll stop teaming in order to enjoy content. For instance once my villains hit St Martial, its slow and easy until they hit about level 41. I like almost all the St Martial contacts and I love that zone visually. Likewise, when people hit Marshall Brass or Doc Delilah, no more teaming until they get the O-portal.

But then, I'm one of those naughty villains who thought AE mito farms were a hoot, so don't listen to me.

I deleted mine at about level 30 because he just felt so incredibly squishy. If I have a character sitting idle for months because I'm avoiding them, they stand a high chance of eventual deletion. I really liked him and his concept, he just needed too mcuh micromanagement for my taste.

Have a level 50 Bane whom I *heart* eternally, have a level 50 Fortunata who is just ok.... admittedly she still needs a lot of IOs, that will be the true test.

Sad to say, this is a spot-on assessment except that I dont recall ever seeing vampires in the Virtue Pocket D. Xieveral forgot the catGUYS though. I get a big kick out of those.

I never fail to be amused when I log someone into Pocket D - having parked there for the badge - and there's someone madly jumping up and down in front of me: "meep?" "meep?" "meep?" or maybe just a string of hellos.... GO. AWAY.

I am a tier 9 VIP and will remain so; however I disagree with having to STILL pay for a sub and just about....everything else on top of that. That shouldn't be what VIP-ness is about. With that said, appreciate Zwillinger's input on the situation.

And since i get tokens for subscribing, they are not exactly free. So, I pay a subscription and then pay more money on top of that; sweet deal for somebody... not for me though.

My main Tank got invited to a TF once, and two Storm Controllers were on the team. I had an idea that my life was about to be made a misery, and politely bowed out before start.

This kind of thing is what makes people avoid teaming with stormies, just saying. What's all in good fun to you might end up with you being quietly one-starred by your victim.

The Goon Squad can be annoying, and their leader kind of bossy... but this sort of thing right here is why I tolerate them. The mental picture this evokes is worth the price of admission alone!
