Gotta agree. WaR felt very lonely. Played for 2 days with long sessions and while the pug system is great for just jumping in a team/pq no one speaks. Had one rvr team that were chatty but apart from that it is just silence.

I found the whole game pretty dull in comparison to CoX. Only got highest lvl 8 but have no desire to return.

Thats one of the things i love about CoX is that in teams people can chat and have a laugh. It is a social game and it is a shame that some games dont partake of this.

If I lost any char name except my main I wouldnt be overly bothered - but if my mains name were to go then I would leave (amid great cheering from the missus)

Given that you have to craft them from Salvage and pay extortionate amounts of money to place them, what really boils my blood is that if you then delete the item, for example a teleport pad because you're moving from the 2-square to 4-square room but don't have enough money or space for both at the same time (so you've nowhere to put your TP Pad while deleting one room and creating the other) you lose the item completely and have to start from scratch. You couldn't discourage people from using Salvage-crafted base items more if you gave them some sort of Herpesesque team-debuff aura for using them.

That has been my biggest gripe with the base builder from day 1.

Why on earth they couldnt have put an off map storage area in it to avoid that problem is beyond me.

that has always been one of the bigest gripes with the base editer the inability to save constructed stuff especial if you have an sg member who makes something useful but places it in a very anoying or stupid place you either need to [censored] about for hours or delete it and make it again

Yeah this bugged me when having a base reshuffle. I only have the smallest plot size with there only really being me in the SG and to move teleporters about means deleting and recreating which caused great annoyance

Yep - this is an 'ideal world' thread for when CoH gets a whole new engine for implementing unrealistic changes

My 3 would be:

1. Tanker Fire Melee: Change Temp Protection to a -KB Power

2. Blaster Assault Rifly: Make Full Auto do more damage - it is so disappointing watching every other blaster Nuke a mob into oblivion whan all you can do is wound them a little

3. Blaster Electricity: Make the colour customisable

Thats about all really - i like most of the powersets I use as they are!

Yeah there are only a few larger patches - certainly unless your usage limit is VERY small you shouldnt have a problem - may be best letting the updater run overnight as it tends to be quicker then!

Personally I couldnt live without Mez protection (literally) but maybe some poeple have a set theme in mind and it doesnt fit in - although for team play this could be considered selfish lol

As some of the others have said - I stuggled red-side until around lvl 40's when I started to really enjoy my stalker

My all-time favourite alt is a Fire/Fire tank. Although the weaker shields mean a little care has to be taken the pure Dmg of Fire Melee means 90% of the time I come out on top of the 'kill or be killed' draw

As you said Col. the lvl 40+ cpontent on CoH is better than the rest of it IMO - a lot of that has to do with the many AV arcs, Carnies and Nemesis goodness. Sadly the only thing I can recommend is persistance (and a good active SG) to get you there. I got my stalker to lvl 32 before she bored me to tears then I went back a couple of months later af the ride to 50 after the break! It may be worth leaving your heroes alone for a few weeks, go back to Villains and then come back at it with a fresh perspective. Find a good team and scrap away!!!

I was so happy to get a purple recipe today... Thwen I realised it was Fortunatas ***Cant remember*** worth about 1mil at very most. Such a sad day after all! Although I have now got 30mil stashed away thanks to getting Pwned in Storm Palace and running through the start of the Mender Silos Oroborus Arc. All in all I am fairly happy with progress. I would be happier if the mish timer paused when you logged off. There have been times later at night where I have got a timed mission and am just too tired to complete it. In such occasions it would be nice to log off, then when i come back the mish timer continue where I left off. Or failing that have timned missions start as soon as someone enters the mission!

I had issues yesterday - getting told my account was not active - and then today I got another error all morning which wouldnt let me post - all happily sorted now though

I have a SG most of my alts are in. It consists of me and a mate who rarely plays so there are no SG nights etc

The base, however, has teleporters to 16 locations, an Oroborus Crystal and Crafting place and that is all i use it for. So if you need a basic SG with amenities and no ties PM me

Well - I have two accounts nw - jeez it is had work controlling both together. The baby alt is slow and has no idea of how to get round corners lol
