  1. Also realized that if I took a Rech Redux from Hasten and get the PVP Def unique I'd be over the softcap.
  2. Thank you for noticing this. I thought I was the only one and it was driving me crazy. Is this a bug or is working as intended? I noticed it first when fighting one of the the EBs in Praetoria. Go up to the roof hit him a couple of times and realize my INSPs are already gone.

This is one of the many reasons why I feel like my KM/FA Scrapper is less surviveable then a blaster.
  3. How about this?? This is for i19 Brawl would have Health and Rest would have Stamina Gets to 42.9% s/ldefense. Worried about end management. Gives up a lot of the recharge bonsues which you normally want for healing flames though.

Do you have a sample build?
  5. I have a KM/FA at 36 and have to admit I'm not too impressed. Still waiting to IO him out, but feel he is the least survivable in my set of Melee toons (Spines/Regen Scrap, DB/WP Scrap, BS/Shield Scrap, Stone/Invul Brute, WM/SR Brute)...

Anyone have a build I can take a peak at?
  6. I have a BS/SD 50 and a KM/FA who is at 34.9 right now and I can say that the Shield Scrapper was (for me) significantly more durable and fun to play. I'm really having a hard time with the durability of my FA Hero. Going to wait a few more levels to fully IO him though.
  7. If your Siphon Power gets recharged while you already have a Siphon Power chain going should you wait till the chain wears off or use it immediately>?

You mean you would prefer the standard TF opening? A window with a lot of written storyline? Would have looked real good at the opening of the trailer, don't you think? I pretty much figured that was a gimmick to cover up one of the shortcomings of this game.
    - Found this to be a very interesting point coming from you. One of your sources of embaressment was telling a potential new player that in fact one of those scenes was not true, but from another TF.

Yet, you seem to be completely ok showing a person (who has never seen the game) the intro, which looks really cool and actually is not ever part of the game.

It would seem the intro (which you are ok with) is SIGNIFICANTLY more of an issue of "bait and switch" then having a scene from a different part of the game you can play.

Maybe you're just confused on your own opinion.

As for why they did it? I have no idea why people make bad decisions. Happens all the time though.
    - Ahhh...the response that always comes up when you have no good justification in the first place.
  10. I was wondering if anyone had considered putting the Energy Manipulator Chance for Stun Proc in the Aura...seems like it'd be one of the few powers where it was actually worthwhile.
  11. Other then the Vanessa DeVore mission in Praetoria I never had too much trouble with my Elec/Earth...although in general I felt like I didn't put out much damage input. However, it seemed like that was the case with most of my TEAMS even in Praetoria.

I'm finding the elec fascinating to play since she doesn't have endurance issues pre-stamina and solos the Praetorian content quite well -- too the point where I soloed an EB by draining its endurance.

I have no idea how this combo will play out by the 40s, but I remember playing my I8 dom through the lowbie levels, and it was comparatively rough. The pulsing sleep on elec, FWIW, is pure win. Especially since ice doesn't do DoT so mobs frequently stay slept, even when I'm beating on them.
    - Is Earth a much higher end eating set? Even with the +Recov Aura I still suck wind most of the time.
  13. It definately feels to me that the missions in Praetoria are more difficult. Like they took their learnings from CoH and CoV and tried to make the GR missions more difficult. Also, I find it annoying that when you do a missions that have many, many multiple parts the next missions do not increase in level with you. So, I spend multiple missions fighting blue minions. Finally, the Rewards Merit output seems significantly smaller.

Overall...Im not sure I will use Praetoria when I make my new...don't see it as more fun as Blue or Red side.
  14. I've reached lvl 16 and it has been pretty fun. What I have noticed is if you have to Electricity players on the same team things go pretty smoothly. Mobs are usually perma slept and/or drained of endurance.

Only thing I have noticed is that all the teams I play on seem to be lacking in the damage output...and some of the maps in Praetoria are just killer and take a long time to get through
  15. Just starting out with my character. This is what I threw together. Figure this guy will have to stay in melee most of the time and tried to focus on slows and recharge. What does everyone think?

    - By default bosses are turned off. The player has to select to turn on bosses just like they have to select to turn on AVs.

    - As for the OP...there has to be something missing in his situation. If he is using 6 or 7 small defense insps he should be well above the defensive soft cap and shouldn't be getting hit in the fist place.

    Elec/Earth Build

Hey guys...anyone have a chance to throw together and Elec/Earth build yet? In my quest to get a 50 AT for all ATs I've decided to play a Dominator, which leads me to another question.

From a Dominator play style are you still trying to lock down as much as possible and then use your secondary attacks? ALso, on my 'Trollers I tend to add some damage enhancements to my holds and imobblizations. Since I will now have additional attacks do most pepole focus on the Hold/Immob part of their control powers??

Finally, is it safe to assume when looking to make a build that I should try and focus on as much +Rech as possible?

    Thanks.

    Assassin Strike

Well if anyone has a Stalker moving up the ranks and wants to run the Black Scorpoin arcs to confirm they are more than free to confirm. I judged the fact that they were missing by the fact that the Portal's HP did not decrease after every AS.

There are three portals and they have a ton of HPs and I had to use my other three attacks (which were still critical out of hide), but whenever I used AS it didn't hit. While it is obviously possible that I just missed it would seem pretty odd to miss 30+ AS attempts and consistently hit with the rest.

Anyways...not game changing...just wondered if it was a known bug. All it did was make killing those portals long and boring...obviously the Devs have no problem with long and boring...we still have the Dr Quarterfield TF after all!

    Assassin Strike

I wasn't just missing and I know it works on objects. For instance I had no problem with the DE Spires in a different mission. Since I completed the mission I can't really repeat the problem.
  20. BLYKMYK

    Assassin Strike

Does this not work on certain objects. I am running a Raid Portal Court mission from Black Scoprion (45-50 arc) and I've missed every AS against the portals you need to defeat. Didn't know if this is known or some sort of bug.

I could focus on the boss first... but why? I do far more damage if I'm focusing on AoE the mob, and not on any specific baddy. On the other hand, take a ST heavy character like a Stalker, which should they focus on? The bosses, and to a lesser extent the Lts.

Not all situations can be handled the same way, but this is the general way of how I play my characters. In practice, it doesn't matter that much what people are doing. This isn't an incredibly hard game, and debt is your friend. Feel free to just play however is the most fun and enjoyable.

    - Im actually the opposite with my Stalker. Since he is Nin with defense I think it makes more sense to take out the minions around the boss (or espeically the EB) and then placate the EB. Then going forward you can go into hide more often without worrying about the minions knocking you out of hide.
  22. FYI...I just tested this and neither of the damage procs in the confuse sets take you out of hide or create aggro
  23. I think Ninja Run is the best power. However, I am glad I play with the sound down because the "woosh" sound it makes every time you move is VERY annoying...
  24. I see that Blinding Powder does not cause aggro and is essentially a sleep/confuse power. If you put one of the confuse damage procs in the power will that cause the mobs who get hit with the Proc to become unslept an aggro?
  25. BLYKMYK

    Ninja Run

I usually play with my sound off...except when Im in a mission where I need to find a glowie. I recently bought the add-on pack with Ninja Run...to my horror the "woosh" sound drives me insane...

Is there a way to mute just that one power on all my character?
