Kin Melee and Premature Inspiration Expiration

Has anyone else noticed this? I have a Lvl 31 Kin Melee/Regen Scrapper. When I see a group that I think I could use a little defense in I pop a couple of Lucks. I then fire off my Power Siphon and head in. By the time I take out the first guy, my inspirations are gone. I thought I was suffering some sort of "lost time", as in, I really stink at playing this guy cause it takes so much time to defeat him. Then I started paying attention. I get about six shots in on my target as Power Siphon gets good and saturated and WAMMO, the inspirations just go away. I tried without Power Siphon and the inspirations do their little blink thing and wear off as they should. Perhaps this is a bug connected to the stack of Power Siphon? I already filed a bug report, but I was wondering if anyone else has seen this. I have double posted in the Technical Issues/Bugs section, as to find a cross section of people that can potentially find this problem.

Perhaps it was just the Icon, did you monitor the combat attributes to be sure it was actually gone?

Either way, if what you are saying is true, it is a bug. I have not noticed it however.



Your character does not have capped defense. Depending on your AT the cap is between 175% - 225%. Your defense is not teal in the combat window, it can go higher. STOP SAYING IT IS CAPPED! The correct term is Soft Cap.
I enjoy playing in Mids. I specialize in Melee Characters, other AT's usually bore me.

That's one of the first things I did when I realized I wasn't imagining it. The buff drops.

When I hit 32, I threw on Power Siphon while I still had my "gratz on leveling, here is a Tier 3 Insp in all flavors" and ran right into a huge group. Those inspirations kept their duration.

Pine, what kind of Kin do you have? I have a SGer that has a Kin/Fire farmer, I'll ask him if he has seen this happen to him.

Edit: "Kin Melee/Firey Aura Scrapper used for farming", I didnt want anyone to think I was referring to a Fire/Kin Controller.

Definitely not on my km/sr stalker and I would know as I didn't take anything from the secondary until 28

Nor on my fire/kin troller or kin/ice def or kin/dark def or kin/elec def/corr

Hmm, this sort of tallies with something that I almost noticed, but didn't put 2 and 2 together with.

KM/SR scrapper, level 21, taking on Protean.

Pop 2 lucks, Practiced Brawler, Power Siphon, hit Protean half a dozen times.

Then get nailed by *his* power siphon because I'm still adjusting to the rooting times on KM and tend to play 2 attacks ahead, so I've always got another one queued (which sort of stuffs up being able to maneuver away from his siphon), get hit by his melee attacks then look up and wonder what happened to my Lucks.

I noticed a few times in that fight (I planted a lot, relearning a new toon that I'd not had out for a while isn't the best idea against an EB, I suppose ) that Lucks were vanishing before I thought they should be, but I couldn't be certain that I wasn't imagining it.

I was wondering if his Power Siphon was removing active inspiration buffs from me, but if Power Siphon dropping may doing it, I think I need to test that theory.

This bug is not unique to Kinetic Melee. I have had this happen on my characters as well.

Thank you for noticing this. I thought I was the only one and it was driving me crazy. Is this a bug or is working as intended? I noticed it first when fighting one of the the EBs in Praetoria. Go up to the roof hit him a couple of times and realize my INSPs are already gone.

This is one of the many reasons why I feel like my KM/FA Scrapper is less surviveable then a blaster.

Can also confirm this. Fighting an eb, 5 reds popped....stacking PS, on the 5th or 6th stack, then just vanish.
Not so bad when your slotted...but as someone else said, if you are relying on those inspirations to keep you alive during a fight, and they vanish due to a bug..its not good at all

I noticed this happening a lot on my KM/SR. For some reason I never linked it with Power Siphon. Glad that I wasn't just losing my mind.
