Imagine the following scenario:
[Supergroup]Duke von Facebreaker: Guys, you gotta check out this hilarious AE arc. It's called "Household Chores of the Damned". It's where you perform the menial tasks a supervillain needs to do to keep his criminal empire running.
[Supergroup]Shoot Shootingsley: Sounds sweet, I'll give it a try right now.
The Rikti have destroyed Architect Entertainment's power generators. Sucks to be you if you were in the middle of an arc.
Now...how would you react? -

There's a war going on in America, and America's military is about the only group that isn't involved.
[/ QUOTE ]
Didn't they used to have American GIs in there back when it was still just the Rikti Crash Site, like there are in the Shadow Shard? Basically just animated props, though, so no actual fighting. -
Okay, I know all questions about Praetorian Earth aren't gonna be answered until Going Rogue is at least in open beta, but...are there any plans to refer to the Praetorian version of Bloody Bay as Michael Bay?
...complete with explosions, shattering glass, disgruntled soldiers and people plowing through fruitstands in high speed chases? -

Cyborg and Robot. These could work as both a HEAT or a VEAT.
The Robot would be modular. It would have 24 slots for powers. Each slot would be geared toward a "tech level". A power could be slotted that was that tech level or lower. You would start with 2 basic tech level 1 powers at level 1. At level 2 you would get 1 tech level 2 slot. There would be no enhancement slots given to this AT. So at level 3 you would get nothing.
But you could swap powers throughout the game buy visiting "Shops" like a longbow shop, crey, freaks, Nem, vanguard, Archnos. Each shop could offer their offical flavored powers.
Powers could be like Tech level 1 armor - 10% to Smash/Lethal, or Tech level 1 laser - Lethal/energy damage
Now a Cyborg would have 12 modular parts, and have to choose 1 power set (Maybe Super strength, MM bots, AR or the like). The Modular selection would be the secondary power. And on levels that you would normally recieve 2 or 3 enhancement slots you would only recieve 1 since you have only half a build to slot.
Origin of course would be Technology.
Costume pieces could be added to show these modular powers.
One drawback would be that say a Tech level 4 Crey Frost blast, would be the same on all toons since it doesn't get enhancements.
Not fully fleshed out idea but the general thought is there.
[/ QUOTE ]
I'm not so crazy about this idea for 3 reasons.[*]Less or zero enhancement slots. No set bonuses for Robots? And how much accuracy/damage/resistance/etc. would the unbuffable powers get?[*]A Cyborg that selects a melee set without the benefit of some kind of defense or resistance would be heavily gimped.[*]It seems there's more groups that a villain Robot/Cyborg EAT could buy from than a hero Robot/Cyborg EAT. -
I have some insight.

1) Mutants. One of the most active ATs out there seems to be welcomed by the general public, yet in the Captain Mako bio he was persecuted. How was he targeted and our heroes aren't? Should there be some contacts who have some fear or apprehention when it comes to mutants or even the general public?
[/ QUOTE ]
Captain Mako is a scary shark monster who runs around NAKED ALL THE TIME(why does he get away with that?). Most mutants are not that freaky. Also, Mutation is an Origin, not an Archetype.
[ QUOTE ]
7) Why haven't we seen a single superpowered alien who wants to bore us with his speech about conquest and gloat over how powerful and superior he is to us?
[/ QUOTE ]
Don't have an answer for this, but I believe we can NEVER have enough supervillains who insist on long self-aggrandising speeches.

10) Speaking of Earth Prime, is P. Earth the center of all the multiverses the reason it is called prime? Meaning it is the source that fed power energy that allowed mutation and such to different realities like Earth 616 or Earth 1 and 2(DC)?
[/ QUOTE ]
I'm thinking Primal Earth is just what WE call it. Also, I somehow doubt there's any multiversal connection between CoH, Marvel and/or DC Comics(MARVEL VS. DC NEVER HAPPENED). -

Trophy Collector: Log out in any basketball court and any kills you make that add towards a "defeat" badge are doubled.
Meaning, if i clear out a mob of 8 skulls, than the badge count applies 16. Oh yeah, couldnt really think of a good place to log out for it, any better suggestions?
...And of course, this'd be great for badge hunters whom often have difficulty trying to find sparce mobs.
[/ QUOTE ]
Are there any basketball courts in the Rogue Isles?
Also, idea for a Day Job accolade.
Badge Title: Fightmaster(named for Staff Sergeant Max Fightmaster)
Requirements: Cimeroran(in Cimerora) and Vanguard Recruit(Vanguard base)
Power Name: Ultimate Attack
Description: By studying once-lost fighting techniques in Cimerora and the modern tactics of Vanguard, you have attained the skill to unleash your full strength in one decisive strike. Logging out in Cimerora or the Vanguard Base for 7 days will grant you access to your Ultimate Attack that devastates your foes. However, its destructive power is such that you may only do this once per episode.
This Ultimate Attack would differ depending on your primary power set(except for on Defenders and Tankers, where it would depend on their secondary). For instance, Fiery Melee characters would get Greatest Fire Sword[Short-Ranged(Cone), ULTIMATE damage(Fire/Lethal), DoT(Fire), Foe -Resistance], while Energy Melee characters would get Fist of an Angry God[Melee(AoE), ULTIMATE damage(Energy/Smashing), Foe Disorient, chance for Immobilize]
Please note that you would not be able to fell a Giant Monster, Arch-Villain or Hero by using Ultimate Attack as an alpha strike. -
Can they get access to Weapon Customization, too?

It's only been a week, so I think it's a little early to cry doom. Now, if they announce Twilight: The Series, THEN you can panic. -
I'm mostly concerned with how their new promo video has some "house party" with a few weird things going on as opposed to those awesomely insane channel promo thingies where some dude uses his icy superpowers to help a penguin cross a lake, or some balding pervert is thwarted when the woman he intends to grope extends her spines.

Their Burning Aura grants Defense(instead of resistance) to various damage types

It might be worth noting here that the existing Fiery Aura defensive set grants resistance. Of course, Energy Aura gives defense while PBs have resist so meh.

Yes, this is a BURNING Aura, not a Fiery Aura. -

Their Burning Aura grants Defense(instead of resistance) to various damage types, as well as self-buffs and buffs that aid their allies. Their Frosty Aura powers grant them Defense to various attack types, as well as debuffs and self-buffs. But unlike Warshades, their debuffs and self-buffs do not require the presence of an enemy to use.[*]Mostly I wanna see powers with names like Red Dwarf(Pyron tanking form) and Cold Shoulder(Arcton melee hold)[/list]

AWESOME RP moment: Encountering a joke character like Moon Woman From Mars(a cheesecake alien invader in the style of typical sci-fi schlock from the 50's or 60's) or Doctor Mankind(a Robotics Mastermind who's out to save the world...or so he thinks).
TERRIBLE RP Moment: When you find out the player has deleted said character. -

You know, come to think of it, there's a Newspaper mission where a villain has to retrieve a horror novelist from a magically-powered group that thinks his works of fiction are based on fact. And then there's a Police Radio mission where a hero goes to rescue the owner of a shop that carries old tomes and other weird things from a magically-oriented villain group, only to find that he's been freaking out his captors by babbling vague things about unseen horrors and cosmic geometry(which is particularly odd if it's the Circle of Thorns who kidnapped him). -
Whatever happened to the Bluefords that invaded the Pocket D that one time?

The point I was trying to make though, is that if you DO want to play a natural-origin human character, none of the current control sets really fit. Every other archetype (kheldians and doms not included) has power choices that can be played as a straight-up vanilla human. No weird race, no superpowers. A watchmen style hero if you will. Controllers and dominators simply don't. And they should.
[/ QUOTE ]
Well, wouldn't using grenades technically still be "science" or "tech?" Depending how far you want to take it, a "Natural Human controller" shouldn't exist, unless you can get enemies to stand still long enough to pile dirt around them or get them to fall into a pit you dug. Alternately, go for some of the Tank or Scrapper sets and slot for stuns.
And if using bits of tech (grenades) is fine for that, why isn't having a device to work on all the other varied effects controllers have?
Not against a "grenade" based set - heck, we have trick arrow as a controller secondary - but if you want to be strict about "natural meaning natural human," you've got a heck of a time coming up with a set that actually matches that.
[/ QUOTE ]
This. Mind control is probably the strongest current contender if you call it "Cult of Personality" or something like that. But I think of grenades as devices, and therefore sci or tech, not natural - same for Trick Arrow, Archery, AR, Devices and Traps, BTW.

What about people with swords, axes, or maces? -
I am hoping and praying that any Mutation booster pack is more than just 'furry' options. I wanna see stuff like the Lost Mutates' and Anethemas' Lobster Boy hands, cyclops faces, webbed feet and beards for ladies.

I usually train under whoever's closest. My favorite hero trainer is Infernal, though.
"You must strike swiftly, and without hesitation. Like a shark with ADD."
My favorite villainside trainer is Arbiter Diaz. I mean, think about it. On a daily basis, he probably deals with HUNDREDS of annoyingly overconfident supervillains just off the chopper who think they could take on Statesman by themselves. And not ONCE has he slapped one upside the head or berated them, opting to let survival of the fittest take its course when the player finds that they don't like(or simply suck at playing) a particular powerset combination and swiftly deletes them. -

And what's the difference between an Electric and Thunder Rifle?

Thunder is just the sound made by lightning. What you should be asking is "What's the difference between Sonic and Thunder?" or "What's the difference between Lazer and Energy?"
Also Samson, it's spelled "laser". -

Custom enemies with Hasten, Challenge, Provoke, Grant Invisibility, or Teleport Foe? I'm not so sure this is a good idea. What if you're up against multiple enemies with Teleport Foe?
