Quote:I have tried the whole lucid-dreaming thing on a number of occasions. I never managed to stick with it long enough to really learn how to do it. I would love to, but I'm too lazy, I guess.Sounds like fun!
I'll usually lucid dream, so my dreams often involve superheroic feats and adventures, or some kind of fantastical element. Just last night I had a dream that I was working with a few other scientists on a formula to exponentially increase plant growth - needless to say, the trope played out exactly like you think, and it was up to a few specially equipped people to shut down the project before plants expanded and made the world like like Hamidon's Praetoria.
I've experimented with a few super abilities - flight came the easiest, but teleportation and size changing are difficult. The best way I can describe using those powers is that you have to "draw" your surroundings as they would be if you had succeeded, in order to be Godzilla sized or Bamf to a completely different location.
I also have the recurring flight dream. I tend to take off by pushing down with my hands on either side of me, as if lifting myself on parallel bars or something. I usually fly for a bit, but then get nervous about going too high, lest I suddenly lose the ability to stay afloat. -
Yeah, I am on my PC at the moment. The link you gave comes up "Not found" for me.
Anyhow, at this rate, I'm just gonna leave it. I can live without the queue. As I mentioned above, I just watch a few seconds then back out and I have a makeshift queue in the "recently watched" category.
The only thing that I am left wondering, though, is whether I have access to everything I should (Warehouse 13, for example, is not listed), but there is plenty to watch, so I am not gonna worry about it. -
Quote:Well, as mentioned, I am not too worried about this, but since you seemed to have a solution, I decided to check it. Clicking on "Your Account & Help" gives me a page with the following:Go to your account page
In the 3rd column of account info should list your plan and allow you to change it
Select Change plan
This will allow you to select the plan that you want. To get streaming you need to select:
Unlimited Streaming (no DVDs)
OR
Unlimited Streaming + DVDs
If one of those are not checked you do not have streaming capabilities
Go back to your account page, scroll down a little and then try the problem watching instantly option if a queue has not show up anywhere.
Upper left: My name, email, payment type.
Upper right: a number of links under the heading "Manage Account". They are:
Language preferences
Manage video quality
Put membership on hold
Cancel membership
Change parental control setting
See membership terms & details
Manage mailing preferences
See movie rating history
Manage Facebook
Middle Left (under account info) is this:
WATCHING INSTANTLY.
Activate a Netflix ready device
Watching instantly via Wii
Manage Netflix ready devices and computers
Middle right is:
GIFT SUBSCRIPTIONS & SPECIAL OFFERS.
Redeem gift or special offer
Continue
See gift subscription purchases
Buy a gift subscription
Then at the bottom is Recent Activity.
I am not sure which you consider the 3rd column Clicking anything under the Watching Instantly heading takes me to a screen to get an activation code or to activate my device, neither of which I need to do. -
Ok, not to drag this out... I got an answer by contacting Netflix directly. Seems the queue is under beta and not on all accounts.
Good to know I am not blind or crazy. -
See, this is what makes me think I somehow have a different version than other people. there is no such tab marked "Watch Instantly". Or, perhaps, I am in that tab and it is not identified. If so, it is missing the queue option.
What I have is this (on their site):
Red bar across the top of the screen with Netflix on the left and on the right My Name / Your Account & Help
Under that, 5 tabs: Home/ Just for Kids/ Genres/ New Arrivals/ Taste Profile.
Under that, it shows 4 movies and asks me to rate them.
Next comes movies, listed by genre, listing about 12-25 titles in each genre.
Then at the bottom of the page is another red bar with Netflix on the left and 3 columns on the right: Website/ Membership/ Company
Each of the three columns has between 3 and 7 options, none of which are for making a queue.
Anyhow, it doesn't really matter. I just find it odd that what I have seems to different from everybody else. I will have to check with other people to see if they have it or not. -
Yeah, on my nephew's version, the "Add to queue" shows up when he clicks on something. For me, no. Just checked the site also and see no sign of it there. Tried doing a search for instant queue and nothing comes up. Is it under another name, perhaps?

Desire for shapeshifter AT: reignited!

I have a Netflix question, actually.
I recently took the free trial through my PS3, as did my nephew. On his version, they offer the ability to put movies in a queue to watch later. I do not have that option. At first I thought it was ecause I as on the free trial and he is now paid, but yesterday I renewed as a paid user, but there is still no queue. Not a major thing, but I am curious.
As it stands now, I have to start to watch something for a few seconds so it appears in my "Recently Watched" list so that I can come back to it later. -
I haven't been following this too much, but it does sound familiar... Where is the info on AT specific enhancements? When were they announced?

Quote:Well, it has been a while, but from what I remember, Venom:Venom - He's never been evil. He's always just not liked Peter. Outside of that he's always been a fairly decent guy.
1) Tried to kill Peter multiple times
2) Terrorized MJ and other loved ones of Peter
3) Killed multiple people
Not what I consider "fairly decent", unless you're comparing him to Carnage or someone of his ilk. -
Quote:Hate you for typing faster than me.Wait. Back up.
The Hulk debuted in his own title a year before The Avengers did, and he was one of their founding members. The Hulk is and always has been a hero.
All right. Now continue.
:P
I disagree with your assessment of Wolverine as a Hulk "villain". He was a Hulk opponent, sure, but not a villain. He was dispatched to bring the two "villains" of the public eye (Hulk and Wendigo) down. -
Quote:Er... not the Hulk that I know... My Hulk started in his own series and was later in the Avengers, manipulated by Loki, but not an actual villain. There are the obvious ones: Hulk began as an Avengers villain...
Aside from that, I can agree with your general sentiment. I hated when psychopathic murderer Venom became a good guy simply because the character was so popular he had to have his own book. I think that was the start of it, but I may be wrong. I hadn't heard about Doom going "good", but that is pretty stupid. As I recall, though, he always did have a small soft spot for Sue, but I may be remembering that incorrectly (never really read FF). Still, I never really thought of Doom as all-out evil. He just had his own unique perspective on things. :P
Magneto joining the Xmen (back when I was reading (around issue 200, I think?) made sense, because he was all about looking after mutantkind. When the Xmen needed him, he was there because it was more important for him to help them against ignorant humanity than to fight against them.
juggernaut going good was stupid, as was Sabretooth becoming an Xman (even if it was not his choice). -
So, this means the set will definitely be out in time for the event (the 20th)?

Quote:What is a ToE proc? Not clicking with me at the moment...Came here to post this. Dark Armor is kind of a deceptive set. You start out with it, maybe you don't have an IO plan, or you heard bad things. You have the idea that it's not that great, it's hard to level, you are going to suck wind all the time, but maybe your theme or concept demands it.
Soon, you start seeing that you have good resistances to weird stuff, and you find that Dark Regeneration with a ToE proc sometimes results in a net end gain. Carnies and Malta are a joke. End drain? That's that thing that happens to other people. You forget that minions even exist, because whenever they get close enough to smell your farts, they are stunned and staggering around like drunken nuns or wetting their pants and cowering like beaten stepchildren.
After awhile, you are running around balls-deep in mobs that you thought you had no business even looking at, let alone soloing, you have no end issues, stuff is stunned, feared or melting from a damage aura, and you realize
Then you roll up a willpower or maybe a super reflexes, and you get the strange feeling that you should have never left the dark side.
At least, this is how it was for me.
I made a Dark/ Ice tanks, simply because I have heard negative things about both sets over the years and I never bothered trying wither one. I love it now. Wouldn't mind more Ice damage, but combined with my Dark aura, damage isn't too bad. With some IO sets, knockback is now under control. But End? Holy cow, I run out of breath so fast. I have slotted everything with End Red, but still burn through it pretty fast, so the idea of a net gain interests me greatly. -
I am really debating rerolling one of my brutes to go with this, but the choices so far seem rather silly. The sword with more swords in it somehow makes me think of Homer Simpson and his "dogs... or killer bees... or dogs that when they bark, killer bees come out of their mouths!" speech.

In typical movie fashion, it looks like Cap will be running around without his mask/ helmet a good portion of the time.
Also not sure about Banner...
Overall, though, looks awesome! -
Quote:Boy....I see no such admission in your post. Not a word about imperfection. Not a word about guilty pleasure. There was nothing of the sort to gloss over.
I did however see some erroneous points made.
Nope, you have a Dual Pistols Corruptor.
Except that it isn't a Scrapper, it is a Corruptor, so those that have been wanting to play a pistol scrapper still can't play one.
It's a Corruptor, not a Scrapper.
The flaws are still there.
If you jump off the roof, I think you'll miss the ground... -
You know, I am still not clear on this. I always thought it was direct competition that was not allowed to be mentioned, but I have been told more than once that it is any game at all.
Which would technically include pnp games, which makes no sense. -
Huh. I thought this worked. A couple of Freems I played with today mentioned that they could use it.
-
I love him, too. I think the new arcs are great at immersing the player into the game world. Older missions are just sort of "go here, fight this"-type stuff, but the new arcs , with characters recurring and appearing in various locations throughout the game world are great. Made me feel like the world was much more real.
In another thread, the old archenemy system was mentioned. I'd love for them to have a recurring villain appear through a character's career in a similar way to how these missions are handled. Maybe one story arc featuring a recurring badguy every 5 levels or so, so that by the time you hit 50, you'll have faced your archfoe in about 10 stories. You can have your final confrontation at level 50 as a cap on your career (or before going on to Incarnate stuff-- whatever). -

This transistor thing is going to revolutionize electronics!

There are times when I truly, truly miss collecting comics.
Then there are times like this. -
I really like Young Justice, but I hope they can work out a better schedule than one or two new episodes every 10 weeks or so.
