He's a TF contact so he won't ever be in your contact list.
He is on your map as a trainer icon (white circle with a little green dude), which I note you do not have showing on your minimap and therefore why you can't see his icon. He's supposed to be moved off of trainer eventually, according to one of the recent Ustreams. -
The Origin Pack wasn't even split into two packs. It was split into one pack (Origins Costume Set, which is only the capes and not really a costume set) and the ability to buy the auras individually.

You can also buy the SSA as a VIP Player, because if you drop from being VIP then you no longer have access to it unless you buy it. But if you never plan on being Premium, or don't plan on playing the arc if you do go Premium, then you don't need to buy it.

You can't sell boosted IOs, except as part of a respec by leaving them in the bottom "will be sold when complete" tray. You can't trade boosted IOs at all.

Along the top, there is a left arrow, Home, Cart, Support, My Account, and X.
"Cart" brings you to.. er.. your.. cart. There is a button at the bottom of the cart to get to checkout. -
Account Items can be claimed once on each character, current and future.
Character Items can be claimed once by one character, period. -

Yes, he is definitely right. The vast majority of content is sub-50. But at the same time, he is wrong. The vast majority of sub-50 content can be done with a 50.
Granted, it means not running it *at 50*, which is a deal-breaker for most diehard endgamers. -
...so these people that now have active freebie accounts that used to be TRIAL ACCOUNTS are somehow Premium? How did they get to be Premium accounts, exactly?
How are these activations being handled? By age? By time since last renewed? Randomly?
I really don't like this setup, to be honest. :/ If Z can get in for free, so should ABCthroughY. -

Easiest way to figure if boosters will work for your enhancement:
Question 1: Did you or another player craft it?
Y: GOTO Q2.
N: Will not work. (T/D/SO, Special-Os like Hami, Market Os)
Question 2: Does it have an enhancement value? (versus a proc or global bonus)
Y: WORKS! (the DEF part of DEF/+RECH)
N: Will not work. (the +RECH part of DEF/+RECH)
As a somewhat related tangent, enhancement UNSLOTTERS work on EVERY enhancement, they don't care about type. -

Back when GR was first announced there were posts here from self proclaimed experts that if a villain crossed over and became a rogue or .. heaven forbid!! .. a hero all the infamy they had accumulated would be useless on the blue side. The reasoning was, of course, Infamy was the villains reputation in the Rogue Isles not cash and since the venders in Paragon only awarded heroes who had agained influence through their good deeds.. a villain that leveled or wanted to purchase inspirations, etc.. had to return to the Isles to do so.

I would MAYBE pay $2 per code. I would get the few that I'm missing that I think are super awesome (most of the awesome ones have been given away as con codes and I have most of those).
I would pay $1 per code in a heartbeat; I'd buy about half of them in a heartbeat.
I will NEVER buy ANY at $10, and I will NEVER buy ANY at $7.50. -
The old patcher verified files immediately after downloading and applying them, before getting to the cityofheroes.exe blue loading bar.

Also also, I just had an hysterical thought:
Force Bolt with a level 50+5 KB enhancement (+95.5% in ONE ENHANCEMENT). Hellion Bowling just became waaayyy more awesome. -
Also, I added a clarification to the wiki to note that it works on both set pieces and common pieces.

They stack and you keep them forever, regardless of account status.

They don't have story arcs. They have repeatable missions ala the Radio and Newspaper, with a First Ward flair, with missions colored by their "alignment".
They are all within the refugee compound. -
Not *ANY* enhancement. It doesn't work on T/D/SO or the special enhancements like Hydra, Titan, Hamidon, and Synthetic Hamidon. Just any invention enhancement.
