Aura and Cape Unlocks
All characters on an account. It lets you use them from level 0 (i.e. in the character creator) and beyond, without having to ever do the respective unlock mission.

I was wondering if the Purchasable Aura Unlock and Cape Unlock in the Paragon Market affects all characters or if it is just a per character transaction?

I thought the whole ide aof being a VIP meant we didnt 'lose' anything? So now, because apparently some people found the cape and aura missions too much effort...we have ato PAY to unlock them, instead of doing the missions? What utter rubbish is that?
How about letting me spend 15 mins doing the arc and earning xp, instead of giving you greedy NC people more money?

You can still do the missions (although it is likely the contact has changed - I know it has redside).
But you can also pay to unlock them.
Oh...ok. Not to sound rude..but where the hell is the contact? Me and a friend are trying to find them..good thing they dont go out of their way to draw attention to a contact that might mean they lose some money.
No, no.

ALSO, I'm not sure if this is a bug or not. BUT, if you have the Cape of the Four Winds or the Arachnos cape (COH CE/COV CE,) you will NOT have them available from the purchased unlock. You WILL have them available if you run the mission. (At least as regular capes.)

You will want to learn to use the "Find Contact" button on your Contact list window. It should be just under the tabs (active, inactive, etc.).
I do not know who the blueside contact is, so I can't tell you who to look for. Redside it is Mr. Rodney, a Goldbricker.
When you find him/her, you can use the "Teleport to Contact" button the first time (it changes to "Select Contact" after you have met them the first time).
Ahh..I see. Thanks Morgan and Bill. And dont worry, I didnt see your post as snarky.
Managed to find Mr Rod in my 'find' thingy.
However...does anyone else find this a trifle shifty by NC? Even prior to i21, unless you already KNEW who to see for auras and capes, there was nothing at all in game actually TELLING you who to see. Especially hero side..very easy to never even see the city rep at all, at least redside you might accidently call Kalinda on hitting 20/30.
Just seems dodgy to me that in the costume editor, adding a locked aura takes you right to the store and encourages you to pay to unlock the auras...instead of actually mentioning you could take a few mins and unlock them the old (or new) way. Not impressed.
I am hoping as all the wrinkles get ironed out (and I do not think it will be quick, unfortunately) they will add better in-game directions and notices for things.
I believe, and maybe I am giving Paragon too much credit, that this is a sign of i21/Freedom being "pushed out the door" too quickly. Or, maybe just a neon sign that some/most of the stuff was outsourced.

Some people have griped for a long time how they can't use capes and auras until level 20 and 30. Now the game offers that for a one time fee (for each). It's not that greedy.
Greedy is breaking the various boosters and packs into so many different parts that you are bound to not get that "thing" you actually wanted.
Just saying.

Um..what? Breaking the backs down and you dont get the bit you wanted? Not sure which bit or pack you are talking about..but I wanted the mystic fortune and sec mutation powers..and got them, without all the other junk I wont use. That sounds very much like..getting the 'thing' you want to me.

Ahhh that could be it
Exactly. There are several threads about buying a costume pack associated with a previous booster and finding out it didn't include something they wanted, cape, aura, emote, power that came with the booster but now is sold separately.
The Origin Pack seems to be a real sore point since it was just capes and auras which of course is split into two packs at the store.

The Origin Pack wasn't even split into two packs. It was split into one pack (Origins Costume Set, which is only the capes and not really a costume set) and the ability to buy the auras individually.

Noticed that after I posted and decided to route around at the store.
So 400 points for 5 capes and 80 point each for 10 auras. $15 now for a $10 pack then. $16 if you but the capes separately.
