Just give me free pickings from any power in any power pool. And I'm sure I can come up with something easthetically correct that butchers everything in his path.

Yeah, I use this with the numberpad. Personally don't mind moving my hand off the mouse. I really only use the mouse for UI stuff, and occasionally to look around. But otherwise I'm almost all keyboard (my poor tab key), so it works well enough.
But I do consider binds like this a must for any mastermind, either in solo or in a team. -
Or at least make an official anouncement of it. For those that don't read the boards.

Pick your targets
Depending on your secondary of course. Pick your targets in groups. If you have defence lowering abilities, have your pets focus on them when you debuff them. And lower damage output of mobs you're not dealing with yet. And root melee mobs to the spot if you have that ability. -
Once I actually get my game. (minor store mixup) I'm gonna start my own little SG.
Which is technically an SG for my four masterminds. Gonna have to figure out how to get all four in though.
Currently not sure if I want to do anything big. -
Brings a whole new meaning to the term: Death from above.

Any SG large enough to operate a large functional base. Will require corporate style management. Or will have it.
I've seen guilds in other games with the same mentality. You become a footsoldier there to follow orders. Granted, CoH/V doesn't have this. Since the devs didn't make a lot of raid content. One thing I'm very greatfull for, nothing more annoying than trying to coordinate 40 people.
But yeah, it's corporate hierarchy that I'm trying to avoid when I'm out enjoying a game I'm paying for. -
I like it. Suggested it once before myself. A 'secret' identity mode.
It can even have functionality. You can't use your powers. But you can 'walk' around without being attacked. You can also attempt to hide from Villains/Heroes. Obvious drawback is that walking anywhere will take forever.
Sidenote: They're gonna have to add phonebooths we can run into though. Would be rather silly if we were caught with out pants down trying to change. -

During the CoV beta I read something on the US boards (which I check quite frequently) about plans for small hideouts/apartments (not SG dependent) in the "near" future.
The base building cost is something that annoys me as well, I don't want to join a large SG just to be able to have a base.

Well that's good news. I'll take a rumor over nothing anyday.
Let's just hope 'near future' is anytime soon. Like before the turn of the next century. :P -
Offtopic: there's a difference between not being english (and thus not proficient in it) and using lame internet acronyms like 'u'. Those always make posts harder to read. Just use 'You' and other normal words. I have less issues with poor grammar, than I do with stupid acronyms created out of lazyness.

you can't have 100+ people in a SG.. max is 75
also you can't expect to be able to build a base on your own :s you could do it, but it would take almost 25 lvls worth o prestige to build it.
[/ QUOTE ]
Didn't even know the max was 75. This cap also generates serious 'alt' issues for larger SGs.
And yeah, I have my own private SG. So it'll take a while before I can get anything usefull in terms of a base. -

If you want to build bases only, buy The Sims. The base content is additional and designed for the Multiplayer aspect of the game. I suggest either joining an established SG or creating and recruiting your own.

So reading is difficult these days?
Where did I suggest I only want to build bases. I just want a place to call my OWN which I can decorate as I want with some functionality.
There's a lot of PVE stuff you can add to your base for practical reasons. Like a ressurection ring, a telepad, and more. They can even add an 'intel' computer where you can look up info on local happenings. A nice handicap would be that you can't have Items of Power in your solobase, since they can't be large enough to sustain them.
I consider 'Multiplay' to be an aspect where I can team up on occasion with people and socialize. Not get forced into hanging out with people 'just' so I can enter a base I have no control over how it looks.
Your last point I'm just going to ignore. As I already pointed those out in my post. -
Right, I want it known. That I want the option for a solo base or lair. I didn't buy CoV just so I can not get a decent functional base. The best I can do on my own in my little base, is make a decorative place to lay about.
I get to customize everything about my outfit and powers. But I'm powerless when it comes to a base. Since I either need to recruit 100+ people to make anything decent, or join an SG and hope they make the base at least a little bit decent.
Also, I'm going to keep hammering on this subject untill I get an official responce that this will be added. I do not pay 70 bucks for a game only to be dependant on others. And yes I understand this is an MMO, but I'd still like some control in this aspect. -
What irks me the most is that only SG 'leaders' can get a base. Granted I have my own little SG, mainly so 'I' can decide what MY base will look like.
But at the retarded rates you gain prestige. It's going to be student life all over again.
It's just another thing the devs managed to completely and utterly mess up. Unless you're willing to spend time building up an army so you can have a base. You're not getting anything. Or you join an SG, and you don't get any say in what the base will look like.
They should at least allow a private secret lair as well. Paid for with influence. Doesn't have to be anything big. But something I can call my own.
I mean, all the really cool heroes have their own private lair. Next to the base they're affiliated with. -
The Crimson Order
Just your run of the mill supergroup out to make finding team members easier. We're currently still small. But if you want in try to find either Nismorack or Atomic Flare.
A few important notes: Try to use normal language, be nice and helpfull, nobody wants mission quiters, nobody wants wipers either, nothing wrong with asking questions but please RTFM before asking, there's a big difference between being silly (which is ok) and being stupid (which is not ok).
These notes may seem a bit harsh (and admittedly they are a bit) but we don't force attendance and what not. And the notes are mainly to maintain our sanity (yours and mine).
That will be all.
