I want to echo the suggestion above that if you have logs of the trial, get them to Arcanaville. If you can coordinate getting everyone's logs to her, that would be even better.

Personally, I prefer the idea of guides being posted on Paragon Wiki. Easier to keep up-to-date and allows for multiple contributors.

Quote:A forced to-hit reroll on enemies that land a blow would be powerful enough to justify removing all of the +DEF bonus from Elude.I'd like to see Elude changed to maybe half the defense value (enough to softcap even just on an SO build) but with a forced to hit reroll on enemies that actually land a successful hit.
And then change the power to an uptime/recharge and lower crash value similar to SoW or OWTS.
Maybe that's overpowered? -
I like to do my tip missions at +0/x6. I could probably do them at harder settings on Tibis (Katana/SR), but the one I use I'm practised with and is a reasonable compromise between speed of clearing and rewards dropped. For Nemesis and Devouring Earth missions, I take to heart that SR is a set that rewards playing smarter, not harder.
I think Katana's ability to clear larger spawns is improved greatly by reactive; running lotus - steel - dragonfly - steel chain I mow through minions and even lieutenants quickly enough to bring down the extra attacks to a manageable level to let me switch to gambler's - soaring - gambler's - dragonfly to slap down the bosses. -
I think the design brief was meant to key off the most elaborate of the borders that the various incarnate powers have as those, and the stylised fountainhead seen on the Notice of the Well and other Well-related items, are the closest we have to a visual theme for Incarnate matters.

Hero 1 was mutated by the Rikti, but he still maintains more of his old self than almost anyone else subjected to that process. That strength of will earns Hero 1 the Well's respect, as it reflects the Well's priorities.

SR doesn't have one naturally, and wasting power choices on Medicine seems counter-productive. He's not really needed it as I usually have Greens to chomp and defeat has a trivial penalty in this game.
Additionally, while it's not plugged into the build as it doesn't directly affect other powers, I've got Rebirth Partial Radial Invocation (T3 Destiny), and will be the next Incarnate power I take to T4 (as soon as I get the Very Rare). -
I'm currently looking at tweaking Tibis' build, as I feel it has a few slot inefficiencies currently and I'm lacking a few highly recommended procs.
After perusing a few /SR and Kat/ discussion posts, I've come up with the following:
Code:The goals for this were:| Copy & Paste this data into Mids' Hero Designer to view the build | |-------------------------------------------------------------------| |MxDz;1438;686;1372;HEX;| |78DA6593DB4E53411486677AB0B6504A29E55C4A39B65436347AE329268A2628C54| |AC13B839B76809AA634DD25812B51AFD5044CBCF31013DFC307F0D2C7F070AB1CEA| |DAEB1FEA36DD69F3CDACF9D7CC9A7F66B2BBF3ED42ECDF10B2E356D9B4ACB57CA16| |656ABAAE65B32EB3B35B3EC5D29AD972C9F10227A36B4965565A58C7B66DDAC98F1| |66745E6DA88AA58CFC8EDD5B561B65B5ABACF042654BD554A56E9C35DA73DBDB656| |35199D5526533C89D3BA5CDAD3AF502DCCB57952A86CE544555B3B64AD5F0ED6AA9| |60DCDC2EEEAD654DABAE6A7B7D54539AFE2FEDE2F86B78C5634246B80AC03AC3A38| |022E3DC1797101191B5B32467B94554F24837E37C2710612C914E6A9D842E005D00| |BA76E85E91CEADAB70375C3C72CCE838024E189DA7C057C67DCAF26276E91DE6FAB| |A801E1AF161C4E3FB4D8889AE3F8CEE23E098D173C2C891DC8FE5853FC133480AB5| |21E4697BCA45F6EC33FA9E01CF19032F186E9207B1A037D82BED4907FA194303C02| |063780888311E5056486F2084CA8781031A096B43C2B06004868CC0891138918059| |0918B24C5911CC27223338370A45F509447102E32EC294183F15362625F74649D70| |B9DAB37CDA993FFE19004FDBAA2FE142F379504A68129462A0D3CE1AC3C650DEA1D| |0E626B29E0B5CF760006C73E72CEF427E01DF09E71E103E30DC9E37AF9F8158C5C0| |5AE31662E03D701F8B24259A37AF7A37AF7B87FB3B87FB341469874135A3701DD2C| |5CCAC0A50C5CCAD3254DA20A99842F19A0CB87F7645B9FC615FA1C14C2D0A761BCE| |57A564935A75573F061C8D37C80F4A34FC43DCDC7D5986E199D6B89645A22175B22| |975A228BCE08EE4ACEA3D7A590C4B6FC9DCD87D9F81E683E662191F1F35FC825EFB| |24589876CDFD82AE3873327C939BF9C39B065EC003864E402B6BD58F391A3BDEE68| |171CEDC50865E9F63747FB2FF9B4E61F| |-------------------------------------------------------------------|
* Softcap positional defences.
* But not worry about "Incarnate softcap", as I can generally expect defence buffs on iTrials.
* High accuracy.
* Enough recharge to run the GC - GD - GC - SD chain.
* Enough recharge to have Hasten permanently up.
* Only require two Purple sets.
* Avoid insanely expensive PvP Enhancements.
* Add suggested procs like the Achilles' Heel resistance debuff, and some bonus damage that isn't smash or lethal.
I'll need to build the very rare IO sets over time (I've only got the Hecatomb proc at the moment) and while I'm doing so the two powers slated to have them will have plain IOs (Acc / End Red / Rech / 3x Dam) instead.
I know Combat Jumping is probably overslotted, but I want the recharge set bonus from Kismet as I'm tapped out on 5% and LotG bonuses. I could dump Elude and go for Laser Beam Eyes, except I've generally avoided powers that are hard to justify for someone who is "natural". And yes, he's an Incarnate, but still...
Any suggestions and constructive criticisms will be gratefully received. -
The guide is dated Issue 13, so it's out of date anyway, if for no other reason than the game is better understood.
I suggest to those pointing out flaws that a good course of action would be to write a new one, as it seems unlikely that this one will see further updates. -
That was me, I think. I should have taken it as a hint that the trial run would be anything but smooth!
-
I'd like to get the various Lambda badges that are awarded for not using the temporary powers, but as my Incarnate deals mostly Lethal damage, he's pretty much dead weight on those attempts.
-
Not news for me either; my wife and I met in original EQ back in 2004, and we married in 2007. So far, it's been "Happy ever after"!

Quote:And that is a perfectly reasonably stance to take. There is no obligation or coercion on you to do the trials at all.In the end I guess I just don't understand how this style of play can be fun for anyone. I don't think of that as a failing on my part or anyone else's. It's just the way I'm wired, so to speak.
For me, it's been good to dip my toes back into larger scale encounters without having to deal with guild politics and enormous time sinks. Plus the background to them is entertaining, too. -
Quote:I did a lot of raiding in EQ1 during the time of 72 person raids, and I burned out quite badly on that. I still shudder at memory of the all-night session I took part in when the guild I was in finally completed the Rathe Council for the first time. Since those days I've barely raided at all in other MMOs I've played. A little in EQ2, sure, but none at all in WoW.I will admit I may be reacting prematurely. I was not the least bit amused that I20 was "CoH: Get Your Raid On". But I also realize I'm hypersensitive to the subject due to my personal history. So I'm trying to be patient, really I am.
These Incarnate trials are orders of magnitude more accessible. I've found people running leagues on Pinnacle to be accessible and willing to take a chance on players they didn't know. I've found the trials to be quick and enjoyable to play, and recently I took part in a successful 8-man Lambda that comprised of the few players still in the league at the tail end of the day.
Some of this will depend a bit on the community on your server; I've found the members of the Pinnbadges channel to be friendly and accessible, with open leagues frequently advertised in channel. I have no idea what it's like where you are.
