It has been awhile since I played my elec/elec brute and I know it is not the same AT. For mr after I got power sink along with lighting field running things were alittle easier for me. Never have gotton a healing power for him to be honest if I died with him haveing a healing power would not have helped.
A friend of mine has a eletric defender and I would play with her on my kintec controller was not alot we could not handle. I think should could drain groups faster then my eletric brute or atleast seemed that way.
Is it as effective as knockdown or holds not really since even fully drained they can still attack. It basically limits how often and fast they use there heavy hitting moves. Then again I have been hit with knockout blow from BaB even though I had his endrance floored(I was to focused on being able to do that me thinks :P).
I had 3 endrance mods in short circuit on my eletric corr and could floor groups of minions endrance. Just remember that tends to upset the big babies and they get all upset and stuff :P. I would say solo I think it would work once you get the hang of things and get things slotted. On a team you can just go crazy a win win fo me. Then again I also leveled my eletric/eletric brute without a single healing power or anything from the fighting pool. Had fun all the way to love that lighting rod. -
I believe there is a + on the tray you can click to give you more trays. If you wanted to I guess you could fill your screen with new ones if you clicked it enough. Can also change how the trays look once you get the new ones spawned by I think right clicking on the new tray.

They rolled back that patch last night due to some kind of bug with monkies that made people crash(I think that is why)

Would makeing a second SG for your daughter and creating a coalition with the one you have now so she can use your base be a work around worth trying?
-
I am lucky enough to run with a friend who has the /pain secondary so I have sloted mine for damage. For some odd reason it feels good to finsh a CoT ghost off with it now :P

Glad to hear the lover for WM. It gives me hope. I've played a WM/Elec brute to 11th level, and found the END drain to be pretty frustrating (in tandem with the high whiff factor). Jawbreaker and Clobber just clean me out. Is this something I just have to tolerate until I get Stamina?
[/ QUOTE ]
I have a wm/stone and a axe/will brute for the most part all brutes suck wind till you get Stamina and slotted with SOs. I would use things attacking me to build fury more then through attacks. I also slotted my attacks with acc and endrance reducers before stamina. Fury will take care of your damage till you can get stamina slotted. It is almost like a brand new brute once you have stamina and damage enhancers in your attacks you hit harder and last longer.
I do faceplant alot though since I herd groups to spike my fury. With elec armor atleast you can just find some Mu to build your fury sicne they will hardly hurt you and there endrance drain should not effect you. I will be honest been many months since I leveled my elec/elec brute. -
I have never used fire but I do really well solo with my Stone/elec brute. I have no damage enhancers in my attacks just endranc reducers and acc but once you have your fury up minions go down in one hit and most boss I can keep flopping like a fish out of water.

I made a em/inv brute and it is a blast. I will say though there are times I had a area attack to use. I never picked up whirling hands and have not got to the point of picking a patron. I have run it on a ITF and I know there are sets that can do it faster but was fun taking out red boss in 2 hits.
I never played the set before they changed it I do feel it attacks kindy slow could have swore it use to be faster. There have been times I wondered if I should have just went stone melee given it feels I am attacking so slow.
Mace is a fun set to I guess I would say if you want to stun things I would go mace over energy for me anyway. PLus you can have a hammer with a gaint eye on it come on that brings a new menaing to haveing your eye on someone -
Ok I decided to give this combo a try. I figured with the -acc in the attacks when we run into EBs and higher it may help along with siphon life. Is there anything I should know to watch out for? I have a /sr scrapper but not sure how close they are to each other.
Thank you for all the advice yesterday -
I know she would use short circuit as much as possable hero side. I already have a stone/eletric brute in the mid 30s and seemed to be a waste of a slot to make a second brute with the same powers. I do feel that brute hits the hardest because without damage enhancers yet I still hit harder then most of my other brutes.
Stone melee is fun and I have thought about it because of fault. Thank you again for the advice -
I thought about that but since the cloest thing you get to a damage aura(does 0 damage though) is I think 28. Solo it is not bad but when we played hero side years ago I got her killed enough kindy want to make it up by keep things off her as much as possable.

Thanks I was thinking of trying dark/fire for some reason I thought they may go togther well. One way for me to find out thatnk you again

I am sorry I know I seem to only appear when I have a question. I have a friend that is coeming back tot he game and I just can not pick what kind of brute to go withthere corr. They will play a eletric/pain domantion corr. I want to be able to play the ITF with but also want to playa brute I can do damage and keep things off them. I have played eletric/stone/dark and willpower armors. I have tried eletric/SS/SM/Battle axe and dark melee. I useally make a brute with one villian group in mind this would be the first time I am trying to pick a brute with the focus of a teamate in mind.
I have thought about trying a fire/fire brute or something with invul armor. I did think about trying the shield armor but after getting a /sr scrapper to 50 I am iffy on defense. What do you guys think would be a good partner with a eletric/pain domantion corr? -
I have been thinking of makeing a tank but I mostly play villian side and brutes. Does it matter what armor I pick given I would like to have a tank that can play the ITF and STF well togther? I have never been lucky enough to try the STF since the only hero I have that could do it is a Controller and I have not had much luck finding a team with him.
Sorrry for this question for the millionth time since I do not know what is best for the STF figured I would ask. Why yes I love doing the ITF -
I have made a earth/ice dom to play wih my friend and her elec/pain corr and I am happy with it so far. Never got a psy dom pass level 14 so not sure how it is. There are times when it gets rough but with earthquake, quicksand, stalgmites combined with the area root we laugh at most ambushes. Helps they tend to shot me and not her so she heals me then preceeds to drain them of all there endrance :P
Even though I have read domantion does not help most of the earth powers they do help the powers I need it to the hold and root. After that I just drop volcanic gases and quicksand then slice them with my nice ice sword. We are just levle 28 now so things may get harder later on but we ran into burccuda last night and she almost got me a couple times things went better then I thought it would. I have seen 8 man temas wipe on something like that. -
I found with my dark/dark brute if I use shadow maul at the start of a mission or fight and leave it be I can keep fury up. I know the debuff is small but I mainly use it at the start to reduce the chance of getting hit. I tend to pull around a cornerwhen I do it. To be honest though for me the easiest way to max fury for me is jump into a group take alpha fire my area heal then get my endrance back. From that point on only bosses seem to take a bit to kill.
There are some missions I forget I even have shadow maul but I still use it in boss fights just to break things up. It is one huge let down when I get a group lined up perfectly only to miss everyone but when I am able to hit them all is sure is nice. -
I have a SM/DA brute who has been at level 13 for I say a couple years now though I do have a few brutes I ahve made and have not finshed levleing. I do have a levle 35 sm/elec brute who is fun. haveing a area stun helps his survablity in the lower levels. Even though I have a level 40 ss/elec brute I have more fun with my level 35 sm/elec brute.
-
Those swords do hurt my elec/elec brute but since they tend to get one shot before I drain them of all there endrance I tend to have enough time to heal before they get enough endrance to hit me again. Now those damn romans and there critcal hits are a real pain :P

I've decided to try brute out for a bit. After reading through this thread I'm wondering something. SS and Stone seem to be quite close in damage, but they're both just smashing damage. If you consider your DPS against tougher foes that tend to have higher resistance to smashing damage, wouldn't one of the other primaries, like Fire or Energy, come out ahead when it really counts?
[/ QUOTE ]
Well with my Stone melee brute the only thing I fought that got on my nerves was those Longbow Blastias I tihnk they have 50% resists to smashing maybe higher been awhile since I scaned on with my bane. I think what got on my nerves was I had to fight that one from zero fury. Once I got fury up was not as bad but I do not rember me being able to get him off his feet one time doing the fight.
I did do the same mission with my MM at the same level and did not realize even though the MM was level 35 the Ballsta and the ambush was level 40 till just before the mission failed. So I may have been fighting level 40s and did not notice with my Stone brute. -
I would vote for stone I have a stone/eletric and a SS/eletric brutes. Even though the super strength is higher I pefer the stone one. I have nothing but acc and endrance in his attacks and still one shot most things with fury up. I knwo it is not very brutish but I had one mission on a team I had 5 freak tanks bounce off the ground between tremor and sesmic smash ( I think that is the area attack you get at 32). Were I did not kill them I did keep them busy enough for the team to regroup.
-
This was before the changes to lighting storm but I would drop it and Voltaic Sentail and let them kill most things. Then again this is on my corr so I understand it is not the same.
-
Have you thought about a dark corr or even a MM? I think the primary for dark as a cone immbol and stun if she wants to be able to control things. Then you have the fear and single target hold. I do not think dark has any knockback and the -acc from the attacks could help you along with darkest night.
It has been awhile since I played my dark villians so I may be getting my powers mixed up. -
