I was just looking for a place to report these leftovers. Anyone for Tempest Quay?

And I don't know why you can't admit that your "no such threads exist on Freedom or Pinnacle" was incorrect even after I supplied links to those threads. But whatever, I'm not particularly worried about it, only curious.

That's my point. You're the one who brought up comic book supergroups, and I'm saying that the comparison doesn't work.

Quote:What I said is what I said. Why must people try to second-guess?So, you've never seen heroes team-up against lesser villains? Is that what you're saying?
In the game, you enter a warehouse alone. You see groups of two or three enemies. You decide to call for back-up. You and a friend enter, and now the enemy groups are larger. Call everyone in, and you're still challenged.
In the comics, the result would be your full team beating down two or three enemies at a time, and those enemies are at a level to challenge only one of you. Is that a common occurrence in today's superhero comic books? -

I was hoping to see him try to deflect a bullet. If that's asking too much at this point, he should at least be able to spoil someone's aim.

Quote:I'm talking about parsing the sentence. Read it as "exchanging (something he acquired) for influence" rather than "exchanging (something he acquired for influence)".i didn't change anything to that post except for making the part i needed to stand out bold. That's why i also included the post #, so others can go back and check.
If that doesn't help, look at it this way. It's the difference between "he took something he acquired and exchanged it for influence" and "he took something he acquired for influence and exchanged it". -
Quote:Not necessarily. Some items require a commitment of time, and possibly effort (as well as that term can be applied to playing a game), and therefore have some "value" as a tradeable commodity. On the other hand, the name Bob...Stating that a name is a "free" commodity no more true than any other item in the game IOs drop for free, prestige is free.
With that said, if someone came up with a name that was actually difficult enough to imagine that they considered it work, but interesting enough that others would want it (even though they didn't imagine it themselves), they might have a case. -

And who is this Savannah who keeps jumping in with answers, just to be corrected or contradicted? <.< -

Names are free. Charging for them is opportunism.

No, many team members in comics do their own thing, solo or with a regular partner, until there's a threat that can't be handled that way.
In the game, even the most trivial missions produce more (and sometimes stronger) enemies to match the number of heroes involved. In the comics, it would be pretty strange for Captain America to say "The jewelry store is being robbed. Avengers, assemble!" -
Of course all of these rants are immaterial. The OP merely asked for advice on a secondary powerset, with the highly-subjective criterion of it being "worthwhile". If you don't think petless can ever be a valid option, then the proper answer to his question would be "none".
Besides, he made his decision four days ago. Now you're just arguing amongst yourselves. -
Quote:You may be thinking of this thread, which is where I expected her link to lead.I did NOT ask for people to post builds without the Fighting pool. Someone got a wild idea in their head that I did, and posted one unasked. Please do not misrepresent my words.
