  1. Quite a shame, she was an amazing lady. Even as old as she was she always appeared perky and full of energy, and no one could ever forget that delightful cackle of hers.

So the summation of the thread is: The New Skulls look pretty good/great. The pocket D hair is still pretty bad.

    So, thread failed?
  4. No, you only need to slot a single T3 Alpha power. The only time you need an additional T3 is to make a T4 (as any T4 requires any 2 T3s as part of its recipe). but just having any T3 or higher Alpha ability in your alpha slot means you will be 50+1 everywhere.

This revamp? They're very easily recognizable as Skulls. It's a good revamp.
The CoT revamp will never be 100% awesome until we get the popehats and back part.
  6. Yeah all those premiums ought to rush onto beta right now to give their input guy.

And.. I'm not seeing a problem. These guys look awesome.

That infers that their are developers, artists, mission designers being paid to create all that stuff.

Since they don't work for free we can infer that someone is paying them and the money has to come from somebody. Since NCSoft tends to shut down games hard when they are no longer profitable, the money must be coming from us players.

And since it's more stuff than we usually got in the same time frame before the game went hybrid, we can infer that they are making more money since than before the transition.
hahaha mission designers? They keep Dr Aeon around with the promise of getting to kill more characters. Protean is actually an android.
  8. ...Fearsome stare doesn't have a damaging component, does it? Interface only procs off of -damaging attacks-, as in, it has to have a damage component to proc Interface.

So pretty sure it shouldn't be going off in Fearsome Stare. So you can slot whatever interface you feel like, with the damage proc or just the debuff proc (or both). They won't go off until you use an actual attack.

Er, not the same thing >> You contact Scott/Marchand before missions to have objectives altered, like with Vincent Ross. Though it might be strictly flavor, I never tested it to see the differences. But Still something coded in that would have to be dealt with somehow.
  10. What about the interaction with Marchand/Scott? That's coded into several contacts too. Dunno how that's going to interact with the Taskforce setup.
  11. The problem may not be with the contacts themselves though. We've just been told -something- breaks because of the phasing. We don't actually know what it is that's breaking or -why- (and they probably don't either). Replacing the contact may not do anything.
  12. I think that's assuming the problem with contacts dying/phasing out is they can't be contacted after they die/phase out.

I mean it could be, but that would be pretty silly if they just hadn't thought of that solution >>
  13. I'm partial to Peroxisomes as the only source of Mez/Damage in a single enhancement
  14. Yeah, the Maria Jenkins arc will see you paired up with several members of the Freedom Phalanx. In the 30-50 range Signature Story Arc Volume 2 Episode 1 from Wavelength you can choose which current Phallanx member joins you in the finale. Dark Astoria also lets you team up with Numina if you rescue all the citizens in Praetor Duncan's Founder's Falls mission.

You can also go to Ouroboros and play the original version of Maria Jenkins arc to still play with Statesman.
  15. Rebirth I meant. Kind of obvious which one I meant when I said the ally only heal/rez guys, duh
  16. Regrowth actually, since I playing solo like 90% of the time so an ally only heal/rez just doesn't appeal. Everything else, on the other hand, will find a use.
  17. I thought the break down was 70% lethal and 30% exotic?

And my experience with them is just that Toxic really doesn't do much mitigation without other -DMG or +Res effects and the Cold Slows just... don't do much, be nice to slap in a bit of -Recharge speed (Or +.. whicever slows their recharge).
  18. I don't care which nazis I'm punching honestly, I just want to punch them in different ways and not just repeating the same map multiple times
  19. Yeah you're really better off making a cardiac.

See Alphas work as if you're sticking that kind of enhancement into -any- powers that can take it. As a thugs/poison, your cardiac is pretty much just boosting your Stamina. it's not a bad boost, but you're much more likely to see improvements with Cardiac where the endurance reduction will apply to -every- power you're using.

    1. Is it now possible to play strictly Praetorian until level 35 without visiting Primal Earth? I.e., can I go right from Neutropolis at level 20 to First Ward, and then Night Ward at level 30, or do I have to make a pit stop to Primal Earth at level 20 first?
Yeah you can move straight from Neutropolis right into First Ward. Just keep in mind that Night ward's first contact is 30, but the 2nd contact is 31. Plenty of repeatable missions though.

    2. What type of toon would be best for soloing Praetoria? I recall the mobs being more difficult than the Paragon City starting zones.
Most masterminds do pretty well, as do scrappers and brutes.

I'm most certainly open to suggestions for how we can improve this experience. Keep in mind the following criteria:
    • We are supporting this almost entirely with only the Community Team (with some Customer Service assistance). These are all manual spawns controlled by us. Meaning we spawn, run to spawn more as you all mow through them, provide witty banter, switch zones, rinse repeat, try to keep up with the players.
    • We have to use nothing but preexisting assets. Because of where development is right now, we can't interrupt their schedule to add new assets to the game for this.
    • We have to hit each server during their respective primetimes.

I look forward to your suggestions .
The banter is supposed to be witty?

    (I kid I kid)

Television loves you. Television just wants you to watch it. Television wants everyone to watch it. No matter the reason.
  24. GRAPPLING HOOK!

(So sad that has yet to come into play since introducing it)

But yes, yes it is. I'm really enjoying it, the episodes are all pretty well written and funny. My only gripe is that the series starts off with a kind of 'Eerie Indiana' style mystery hook and so far it really seems like every 'new mystery' mostly has the characters just rolling with it. Not that that's bad, every episode has been really enjoyable and I think they're laying down a lot of subtle threads here and there that are going to start tying together.

But yeah, I love it. Plus, puking gnomes
