Quote:Hmm. Still not sure how I feel about that. Guess we'll just have to wait and see once the plot rolls around.Actually, from the dev chat it was hinted that the Well is simply beefing up existing threats to force us to become more powerful so that when the Coming Storm hits, we're able to defend ourselves (and the Well) effectively.
It's speeding up the process of "survival of the fittest" so it's got some decent meatshields from what it appears to know about the Storm (which has yet to be revealed via plot). -
You'll get stuff when you get stuff.

Quote:Like I clarified earlier, I meant in terms of villains and threats we'll be facing and how all of our big enemies will have to be sponsored by the Well first.No. Remember, there's two paths for Incarnates.
The fast path where you get buttloads of power, but are essentially a sock puppet of the well.
And the slow path, where you slowly accumulate power over time, but you aren't beholden to the well.
Being stupidly powerful really fast would be nice-ish and all, but do you really want someone else calling the shots with YOUR life? -
Nemesis had his moment to shine for awhile. Let's give the spotlight to an enemy group that hasn't had a real chance to showcase what they're really about. Not only that, but I can't see Nemesis being the type to just go full blown offensive like that when I'm fairly sure he knows he'd lose. He's more the type to create paranoia through espionage and subterfuge, then claim the throne for himself when all threats are dead or replaced.
And, in my opinion, steampunk/victorian pieces are pretty meh. Neat, but not something I'd use. I'd rather see more heroic and basic costume options/designs. Alot more can be done with those, and we're really lacking nowadays in the whole "simple" and "classic superhero" feel. I mean, we don't even have basic trims for boots, gloves, and capes. -
Every big name villain is a universal threat depending on how you look at it. We've got enough co-op crap floating around. Instead, they should just take one of the unused Shadow Shard maps, make it available to redside, and offer content where villains try to steal Rularuu's power for themselves while heroes attempt to contain and subdue it. Villains are evil and want to destroy/rule the world, not sidekicks trying to save it constantly.

I would gladly pay to see a Captain Atom movie.

Overguard, Sport, Clockwork, Resistance, PPD, etc. All those pieces were unlocked when you bought Going Rogue. Technically not a booster, but I'm sure people would complain regardless because you had to spend extra money and didn't get 'em for free.
-
To be honest, we barely got new pieces before the boosters came out. Sure, it's been a little while since we got the last batch, but I'm pretty sure I20 will introduce a few new sets. Point is, boosters have tremendously increased the amount of costume pieces we get on a regular basis. And if it weren't for them, we wouldn't have certain new features designed solely for costumes, such as costume change emotes or the ability to use different genders per costume slot and changing height.

I meant in terms of villains and future threats. The way Arcana made it sound, the only way anything could become a cosmic threat is if the Well likes it enough to give it some power. Because apparently that's the only way anything can become powerful. Even though threats like the Coming Storm and Rularuu exist and would be much better tests of our Incarnate-hood.
-
So in other words, you can't be super powerful unless the Well wants you to be. Lame.

Rip the sleeves off the costume. Problem solved.

As long as I get to see Clayface and Mr. Freeze and not have them be horribly ridiculous, I approve.

Introduce...animal people? I...what?

I was always of the opinion that Assault Rifle should just be overhauled and given a wide variety of body-part based animations so that it could be turned into a weapons set that can be used for power armor as well.
Create your power armor character, then want bullets out of the shoulder? Have an animation for that. Wrist flamethrowers? Animation for that. Arm and chest cannons? Animation for that. Etcetera etcetera. No new costume part weapons would need to be created since they're just animations, while players can have free range with making their crazy power armor.
Doubt it'll ever happen, though. -
No more unique buildings in Atlas. If we throw any more in there, then players really will have no reason to ever leave. Give places like Galaxy City and Skyway City some love. Barely see anyone in there.

Only thing I don't like about this story is that Cole is now Cosmic Cole. That came outta left field. Other than that, I loved GR and the new TFs. I just wish it wouldn't take up five/six issues like how the Devs seem to plan on it.
