Just because you personally don't like an idea doesn't mean it won't be done well and be a huge success.
I said subpar remake. I don't think Buffy, or Angel really fall into those categories. It also helped that those shows weren't on main channels as well, see Smallville lasting 10 seasons. If WW is to come back and be on the major networks, it better be good if it plans on sticking around. Knight Rider and Bionic Woman have both proven nostalgia only gets you so far.
  2. Looks like Emma got the role of Gwen. Seems to be Emma is also a natural blonde.

How many channels were there back in the 70s? People have way too many options these days to waste it on a subpar remake of a show. My confidence in the makers of the show goes down greatly if any of those three are in the lead.

Dark Consumption has a 6 minute recharge. Soul Drain has a 4 minute recharge. These aren't things that you can really add into an attack chain.

  6. I really don't get people who level characters to level 50 that they hate let alone write a guide about how much it sucks and why people should just reroll their characters. I've have had one character make it to 30 that got rerolled. Anything else was axed before that point unless I was going to keep it for the long haul. If you get something to 50 that you hated, then you only have yourself to blame.

    Back to playing!

In no real order /rad for the -def, /ice due to the slows and two AoEs doing blaster level damage, /sonic for the -res.
  8. I would take Recon before QR just because I really don't have end issues at level 4. Another pool to look at is Leadership so you can stack Assault and Tactics with Follow Up.

    Let me in

It came in 8th and made a mere $5.1 million so if you want to see it, move quick to do so, or it's a rental.
  10. Emma Stone and Dominique McElligott. Yes please.

+infinity and I know it's animation time is balanced, but it still feels slow. I pick other sets outside of the times I have already gone Sonic just because of that power.
  12. Rad is actually great for a Kin due to the -def of Rad and the AoEs. Does it lack in mitigation? Hell yes. I still find it a fun pairing. It's at worst a top 4 pairing for Kin. Fire, Ice, and Sonic being the other obvious picks.

EDIT: Heh, forgot Elec, but I have a love/hate relationship with Elec. If I want Elec, I go controller because it's a much better made set than Elec blast.

    (a) The regen debuffs out there are preposterously large. You would need on the order of 90% resistance to make them not automatically floor you regardless.
    (b) While I am regen debuffed from time to time, I cannot ever remember that alone getting me killed if I still have my click heals.
    (c) When I am recharged debuffed (which happens a lot more often than I am regen debuffed), my regen alone is never enough to save me except sometimes if I can still use Instant Healing. My click heals and Reconstruction in particular are a much larger component of my regularly-available survival tools.

However, I do think that such a buff would be "nice to have", and aren't "needed" per se.
-recharge resist makes no sense for a /regen. At least -regen resist does. If I get hit with -recharge, I pop Hasten.

I think it's a dead horse issue that comes up fairly often. /regen needs -regen resistance and that's about it. I soloed in my 30s for 5 levels without using the click powers and I never died. This was with SOs. There have been a number of times I have died on a WP character and I did so out of frustration thinking my /regen could have pulled it off. WP has less "oh crap moments," but has less ways to deal with those moments than /regen. With WP, if you get low on HP you basically have to be in the middle of a mob and hope it ends well.

We want people to actually watch the show. None of the three have proven they can act. Dushku has been given the lead role in a TV show more than once and none hung around for that long. Hell, backed by even Whedon, Dollhouse lasted two seasons and even the second season felt like a gift.

Been there. Done that. "Why the hell did I die so quick? I used MoG....oh right." As bad as DE, or Rad attacks can be for an /sr, they feel like auto hit on a /regen. I did do 5 levels in my 30s without using any of the clicks and without a singe death. There were a couple of times I ran like a school girl to let my regen take over, but that's about it.

Again, due to DA, Kat will win out pretty much every time unless /sr is involved, but that's vastly from the point of view of which one is sturdier. DB, however, should be pumping out more AoE. I have a couple DBs and I do like them.

In other news, it is surprisingly simple to recreate Deadpool in the Character Creation System.(Thoughts of Dual Blades, Katana's and Regeneration ended up reminding me of him.)
Well, if you want a Deadpool wannabe with DB, go /wp. It also has regen, but tosses in other things to be more jack-of-all trades.

If /regen is the secondary, then Kat is the better primary due to having DA.

Seriously though, if nrg/therm isn't your style, what do you have to lose by trying out a cpl of other powersets to figure out what you really like playing? I have a million abandoned toons that I ran into the 20s-30s to see if I would enjoy before I settled on something else.
+infinity. If it isn't fun, there's no point in playing it. I have yet to find a build that wasn't fun to become fun later on. Did it become more fun later on? Yes, but it was fun on some level to begin with. If a build can't make level 22, then I really must have not liked it. The real test is making it to 30. I've only deleted one that made it that far.

It was only obvious in GR there was a severe lack of any heal support ....so if you have not rolled a AT with heal support...try it on Rogue cause they are in demand.

I have noticed in GR that the team work is more focused... and heals a must for the most part unless you want to progress slowly in 8 man pve.
Assume Freedom blue side has it's share of "healers." GR lacks heal support because defenders aren't being rolled as much although corrs are. The real need for support for GR is the mobs are vastly harder for 1-20 groups compared to normal. Melee ATs have little to no defense against anything outside of S/L and then meet mobs of ranged energy attacks. The mobs that do S/L type of damage can hit for a truck load. The one bosses with SS as their attack set come to mind. I've been two hit more than once on a brute. And yes, one of the best teams I was on was an all melee(ideally brute) team. All those attacks got spread out so it was easier to take on.
  24. Flash and any other AoE hold outside of Earth's are rather situational at best. Take Spectral Wounds, Blind, Deceive, one of the invis powers, PA, Spectral Terror, and Phant. Fit in Flash somewhere after 22 and most likely after Spectral Terror. PA is a free "I win alpha strike" card. Spectral Terror is really your best AoE control. You really can't judge Ill, until at least 26 when you get Spectral Terror.
