Illusion/empathy solo/team
Some of us don't always have access to Mid's, so it is a good idea to post the build in a readable form. Also, looking for AoE damage on an Ill/Emp is putting a round peg in a square hole -- Illusion doesn't have any AoE damage, so the only way to get AoE Damage is from your APP set. An Illusion controller is never going to be impressive on AoE Damage. The best thing to do is emphasize your strengths -- distraction and single target damage.
I looked at it for about 10 seconds before work, and it looks like it needs some work. You used the Lethargic Repose set in Blind, when the Sleep in that power is a rare side-effect. It needs to be slotted for Hold and Damage.
You used the Kinetic Crash set in Hurl Boulder. I wouldn't have taken Hurl Boulder anyway (too slow), but it needs to be slotted for damage. As I said above, you need to improve your single target damage. Other APP sets have fast blast powers that can be used in an effective attack chain to take down foes quickly. I prefer Fire Blast, but Ice Blast is almost as good (slightly less damage). Primal and Psi also have single target blasts that are almost as fast.
You missed a lot of opportunities to slot for Recharge, which is the most important thing. You want to get Phantom Army out as much as possible. And that single PvP IO will cost 2 Billion.
Take a look at my Illusion/Radiation guide for some hints on how to slot your Illusion powers. Then look for sets that will give you Recharge for your Empathy powers.
LOCAL MAN! The most famous hero of all. There are more newspaper stories about me than anyone else. "Local Man wins Medal of Honor." "Local Man opens Animal Shelter." "Local Man Charged with..." (Um, forget about that one.)
Guide Links: Earth/Rad Guide, Illusion/Rad Guide, Electric Control
You got all caught up with the softcap craze. It's great for a lot of toons but you don't need it for an ill/emp.
CoX isn't about healing once you get past SO levels, rethink your priorities and learn what it means to play support in CoX. Hint: the slotting on fortitude makes most vets cringe.
If you want to do damage then slot your attacks for damage. If you want AoE damage then buff your phantasm and pick up something from the epic. It's not the best at AoE, you'll do ok with single target though.
Here's my build, emphasis on recharge to get those emp buffs recycled as quickly as possible. You can replace the purples with less expensive IO sets.

Thanks but one quick question on the build. Since im lacking AoE i was thinking of changing the epic to soul mastery (when i switch sides) and using dark consumption dark obliteration and soul drain for my AoE attacks would that be a good choice or should i switch to fire mastery
and this is the build for those who dont have mids (this is before i took the recharge advice) *FIRST BUILD*

The one thing that illusion control lacks is a reliable means to generate AoE containment. Flash is all you got and it's on a long timer. Containment will enable you to do double damage on your targets. The villain epics don't really offer anything to help you either. Strictly from a damage perspective, frost breath does the most damage per activation that's on a reasonable timer according to mids.
From a utility perspective I'd still stick with primal and pick up power blast, energy torrent and power boost, the last pick being the real gem of the entire pool. As a bonus you can slot a force feedback proc into torrent for more recharge.
Due to the general lack of AoE damage for Illusionists, they don't really have any need for AoE containment (and the Phantom Army and Spectral Terror are generally more than enough control when solo or on small teams).
I wouldn't even worry about containment on an Illusionist unless you team with groups that provide it regularly.
Right now I have a level 50 Illusion/Empathy that I play on occasion. She has more or less the powers I'm about to post but not the slotting or the enhancements. She also has Fireblast instead of Poisonous Ray. But this is how I would build her if my funds were unlimited. Once Stamina is inherent, I'd add GI and CJ for 2 more LOTGs (just because) and I'd probably pick up Fly.

@Turbo_Starr
Probably a horrible idea, but you could slap 4 damage proc's in Flash.
Flash -- UbrkCons-Acc/Rchg, UbrkCons-Acc/Hold/Rchg, UbrkCons-Dam%, NrncSD-Dam%, G'Wdw-Dam%, GladNet-Dam%
Thanks but one quick question on the build. Since im lacking AoE i was thinking of changing the epic to soul mastery (when i switch sides) and using dark consumption dark obliteration and soul drain for my AoE attacks would that be a good choice or should i switch to fire mastery

and on a side note, i've got a breakdown for the cost of this build
Doctored Wounds and other stuff------50,000,000inf
2 LuckOfTheGambler 7.5%'s----------200,000,000inf
1 Gladiator Armor TPpro/+3%------2,000,000,000inf
whoa, sell that damn Glad Armor!
actually, i have no idea what it cost's..too much for my blood
perma jump is ---> /up 1
I have been trying to make a solo build with a illusion/emp troller but i have a ard time when it comes to AOE damage. I dont really care about my health because i have regeneration and soft cap defense and which im still confused on how i got lol but i want to be able to solo not necessarily farm but be able to take out a good size mob alot for some influence or some drops. As for the team aspect of my roll i feel comfortable about my survival for healing the team but im still kind of shakky on how i do healing ..tell me what you think please and Thanks. When my toon goes rogue ill remember to end you fast lol jk
