  1. I just unlocked the Alpha on my Warshade (Human/Squid), and have no idea what I should go for there. Damage? Recharge? Endurance?

I'm in total confusion about how this whole incarnate mess works and how to use the shards and other incarnate stuff that drops to fill the slot. (got 3 characters with Alpha slot unlocked now and have done absolutely nothing with any of them since then.)
  2. You mean the Incarnate Threads? How and where do I do that?

Although right now, she's starting Ramiel's arc anyway, hopefully some tips will drop for her in the process.

And she just soloed her first AV... Granted, it was just the Echo of Rolodex the Strong, but hey! He had Arch Villain by his name.
  3. Alright, just did my first Lambda and BAF on my Warshade and got her 60% of the way to unlocking her alpha (I was under the impression that completing one of these would unlock it. Guess I have to go do Ramiel's arc after all now if I want it unlocked tonight...hopefully I can find a team for this), plus got 32 Incarnate Threads, a Dimensional Pocket, Biomorphic Goo, 7 Astral Merits, and 2 Empyrean Merits. Guess I still have plenty of time to figure out what I'm supposed to do with this stuff.

Anyway, that was fun, even though I was totally lost inside the Lambda facility and had no clue what we were supposed to be doing in there, other than running around looking for somethings and getting creamed by the things inside.

I guess that there is the disadvantage to being unfamiliar with this stuff. Everyone else forgets that some of us have not done this a gazillion times.

Ah well, a few more times and perhaps I will understand this. The BAF trial was definitely more fun, and felt more like a typical Giant Monster Bash party.
  4. As suspected, that one failed too. So definitely a bug with villain bases.
  5. I just tried with another villain on Virtue, and it failed again (did a follow up bug report in game with this additional info). Now going to try one of my villains on Liberty and see if it is just the one server or all villain bases.
  6. I've seen it fail on 2 different characters and work on a third. The failures happened in a villain base, the success was in a hero base. Going to log in another villain and try again to see if that is where the problem is.
  7. Okay, going to have my Warshade be the first to give this a try. Hopefully she doesn't get passed over or kicked from a team for not being level shifted or anything like that. (She hasn't done anything incarnate related actually.)

Will this serve as a substitute for doing Ramiel's arc, or do I have to go through that first? Is that what is meant by unlocking the Alpha, or is that something you do after going through Ramiel's missions? Had too much information overload since the beginning of the incarnate content, so much so that I have mostly ignored it all the past couple months except for the couple heroes who did struggle through Ramiel's stuff and were subsequently re-parked.
  8. It seems the O-Portal power does not work from inside a SG base anymore. When activated, there is no portal, yet the power then becomes unavailable just like it has been used.

It works from inside a mission though, so it must be base specific instead of simply not working inside any instances period.

  10. Ah. The Wiki info on Lambda was what was causing some of the confusion. The way it states: Zone - Any (but co-op zones are best) implied that everyone has to be in the same zone. That bit about co-op zones should probably be removed, since it is extraneous info.

I'll try later to get on a Lambda, when I'm not feeling so flustered about all this (as well as trying to figure out all the other incarnate stuff). I am holding off on BAF since there is no Wiki entry on it, and I would rather not go into it knowing absolutely nothing about the trial.
  11. Well, I just spent a good five minutes or so in Pocket D2 on Virtue with the LFG window up and set to be in the queue for BAF. Then waited, and waited and waited and waited. Is that how it's done? This is why there needs to be a contact npc to explain this stuff.

Guess I'll take a break for a couple hours and try later this evening.
  12. Wouldn't it have been easier and cheaper (ie free) to just go to Cap or whatever the appropriate zone was and broadcast "Level xx (AT type) LF Steel Canyon Mayhem mission please?"

I found him, but since I have not unlocked any Incarnate stuff, he is not giving any info on how to to get in on Lambda and BAF. I thought those two were a way to unlock incarnates.

So again, no in game help on how to get going on Lambda and BAF?
  14. Is there an npc anywhere in the game that can give an overview and explanation of these Lambda and BAF trial things (like how AE and the consignment houses have a information contact?)

The Wiki has nothing on BAF, and the information on Lambda is rather sparse at the moment. I'm sure that I could probably go to the global and help channels and eventually perhaps finally make heads or tails of the couple dozen or so different and possibly conflicting and even more confusing explanations that would be offered, but I would much rather get the info from a contact npc on what needs done to get started, where to go to get going, what to expect, etc.

It seems odd that i20 would be released with absolutely nothing in game to explain what is going on and how to get started on this stuff.
  15. I was thinking that This was more suitable for Fusionette, at least as far as Temblor is concerned.

And how about for Silver Mantis?
  16. The Hacker Known as The Doctor (Could also work for Nemesis)

Can't believe I overlooked this one.

They are using the Coca Cola definition of classic, which is almost but not quite just like how it originally was. Remember how there was the big BLEH over new Coke, so they then released Coke Classic? Turns out Coke Classic was not the previous formula. (Getting rid of real sugar for liquid evil, aka corn syrup means you are not using the previous formula). Likewise, the classic interface is obviously not the same as the previous interface.

I see this a lot right now.
I suspect that is due to clueless sellers figuring that they already have those rares and don't have to buy them.

But that is still a retarded way to operate since by crafting and selling for 1 million a recipe that requires a pair of 5 million inf pieces of salvage, they are still flushing away 9 million by not just selling off the rares (or saving them for more valuable IOs) and vendoring the recipe.
  20. I'm running 1680x1050 on my monitor, and doing window_scale chat 1 and then upping the font size from 12 to 13 seems to have fixed the problem for me without messing up any of the other windows.

Now all that needs done is fixing that eyesore classic team UI (looks like the background green mostly needs toned down back to where it was before.)

I have it on my Fire Blast, and my propel and my lift, and it triggers enough because these are fast attacks. Plus Purple lightning bubble is always ammusing.

This works for me, and while you might not have as many range attacks, placing these holds do help build mags, or appear too, unless Gravity somehow has a higher holding potential than anything else.
That's Devastation with the Chance to Hold proc. On all my squishies, I try to make sure they get them in their single target ranged attacks (except my AR/Traps Corruptor. I needed those slots in Burst and Slug for other things). I also include the single target immobilizes in that rule, since they can take ranged damage (if I can spare the slot). It's just so satisfying seeing all those tesla cages pop up on your enemies when you least expect it.

Also, if you are playing a Tech origin character, don't overlook your origin attack power. Although it is a short duration, that Taser Dart's hold still stacks nicely with other holds.
  22. I think the only costume piece vet reward that needs changed is the 15 month reward. Why? Simple, there's this booster out called the Animal Pack.

I can imagine how disappointing it would be for someone to purchase this pack in hopes of making an awesome eagle, or crow, or raven character, then realizing too late that there are no suitable wings to go with the bird head. At that point, their options are:

1 - use the cherubic wings (which would be rather silly)
2 - purchase the Valkyrie Pack (but those wings are more metallic than feathery)
3 - wait until they have been playing the game for 1 1/4 years

The 15 month reward needs replaced with something else for this very reason. It's bad enough that there were no tail feather options included in the animal pack to go with the bird heads, but the lack of wings is really a big epic fail with the pack (and this is an observation from someone who is otherwise happy with the pack and is well past the 15 month mark.)

Just to recap currently we have 4 ways to do obtain a respec:
    - Vet Rewards
    - Issue Releases USUALLY come with a respec (or two) but not always
    - Respec Recipes (currently 200Mil on the Markets)
    - Respec Trials
    6

    - Freespec granted a villain upon completing their patron arc
    - Purchased with candy canes from the Candy Keeper during the Winter Event.
