Gah! It's driving me crazy!
Title should be: Do Devs hate bases
Current title is asking:
a) Do the Devs hate the base's question. (When will you love me?)
b) Do the Devs have a hate base. (Where they store all their hate and hate filled products)
Hehe, a Hate Base....okay grammar rage subsiding. -
Last week the RO forum got a new look, in preparation for Going Rogue expansion!
Check it out -- RO Goes Rogue!
-
I see on the Consolidated Fact excel sheet where NC list sales by game title. CoH in the 3rd quarter did less than the 2nd but not by much really. If that's the sheet you're going by, I don't know if the chart was necessary. COH is above Guild Wars and below AION (which just released last year) and naturally below Lineage I and II
City of Heroes / City of Villains
1Q 6,837
2Q 6,673
3Q 5,471
==========
18,981
(Unit : KR Mn Won)
Which numbers were used to make the chart?...The ones listed above from the excel sheet right? -
I'd say Kin/Elec, as it requires you to be in Melee for Short Circuit anyway might as well take that advantage. It's seems to suit the kinetic playstyle a bit more, plus you you'll get a pet that zaps away for you while you're busy with other stuff, if you the little zapper.
I find Kin/Elec fun very early which means you're not waiting around until you get that "must have" power. Typically, the first two blasts, ball lightning, and short circuit will get you through most things, then you're waiting for your Tesla Cage, after that it's just gravy Plus it's nice to be able to nuke from a distance, like RoA but sadly with the end drain.
Kin/Psy is a bit of a late bloomer, you'll be blasting away with TK Blast and Psy Scream for a while until you get Psi Tornado at 28 and even then you don't feel exactly powerful until you get your nuke at 38. -

Quote:I was curious about this as well and just never really devoted time to look it up. Or rather look at a bunch of sans serif fonts...well tonight I had a bit of extra time to kill (The Sandman was late to our nightly date)I'd also like to know what app you guys use to make the 3D 'City of' logo's and the font too
If I'm not mistaken it is: Twentieth Century Extra Bold
http://www.fonts.com/findfonts/detail.htm?pid=205393
This is not a free font, so don't expect to find it like Red Circle or anything.
TW Cent with bold is close but it doesn't have the weight as Extra Bold.
I used the 'G' in the "Going Rogue" logo to identify the font. I also used the 'R' but the most telling part is the look of the 'G'.
Since the logos are registered trademarks, I'm not sure if they'll confirm the font or not. But using the link above you can see the similarities.
Additionally, Century Gothic, with bold or faux bold will get you a pretty close second. In any case, those are my font findings for the COH/COV/GR logos.
Enjoy!
Oh I think I finally hear the Sandman...Boy am I gonna give him a piece of my ...zZzzZzzzz -
Larger versions of the AT icons please...really that's all I've been wanting for a while now. (Unless they only come in that rather small size)

Quote:It was 15 days, 8 billion in inf and 2 billion in high value set IOs. Donated by RO members. Not meaning any offense, but weren't those prizes given out over the 4 days for various events?
Mine was a single day/event and all from my personal (individual) coffers.
My silly comment was just about the amount of the prize, 10 billion. I believe RO tossed that chip on the table first, no matter how you slice the pizza.
Doesn't take away your kudos for earning all those merits/inf for your contest...that's still awesome. You still have the chip for the largest prize for a costume contest...I don't think I ever refuted that. Overall, its stuff given away to players so everyone wins! -
There's another factor involved that wasn't mentioned with Speed Boost, Siphon Speed and Inertial Reduction. It is unaffected by suppression. Meaning that it doesn't slow down when you attack, like the other travel powers do. It's one of the things I love about Kinetics...it is in a constant state of movement.
If you want to control the effects of Siphon Speed (which when slotted with 3 slows is much faster than Speed Boost) or Speed Boost, then hover would be your best bet.
To the OP, while Speed Boost won't effect the attack rate of your fire imps, it will make them run faster...which is always amusing. -
Quote:Those are damn expensive tickets! O_O
*hugs local $2.75 matinee Cinemark*Quote:My "local" matinee is $6-7.25 depending on which direction I drive 20 miles in.
For my favorite movies I will do midnight shows with assigned seating so that's going to cost me from $12-14 bucks and that's at The Bridge then if you want to go to Arclight, well that's about 14-16 bucks. I saw Watchmen at the Arclight, awesome experience.

I haven't seen those prices you both have for a few years. -
Six hours of movies...You mean DVD rentals? Cause for $20 in LA you can get to see ONE (1) movie and if you're lucky you can buy a hot dog /soda combo or popcorn and soda combo. Either way that's all 20 bucks is going to get you. Heaven forbid you might want to drink water instead of soda, then the price goes up.
Dang this movie town.... -
See sig. I think RO had first dibs on the 10 Billion in prizes thing
-
-
That was fun...Who was the person that wanted me to make them a sammich?
-
Hmm the things one stumbles upon late at night on the forum...this was an interesting read, that's for sure.

Does a whole SG count
Brain Damage - (Justice server)
Based on PPD Psi Division
-
It doesn't. Adjusting the gamma setting in game is not going to affect the screenshot or print screen capture, sadly.
I never used Paint Shop Pro, as I've always had Photoshop. I do hear good things about GIMP though since its free. -
Walking is awesome as a Mastermind. I can still control my pets and casually walk around as my zombies eat the brains of everything in sight!
Muahahaha!! Thank you -
QR
Ah ha! so this is where they were all coming from...nice work!
I like Clueless the best though -
Quote:Good news.Yep, thanks for posting that Fire Away, that pretty much sums it up perfectly.
It was great talking with you and Cende at the Con as well!
I'm still working on content for bases, and we have some very big plans waiting in the wings, but for right now my main focus is on GR. (In fact, the projects I'm working on are so big I barely have time to get away to post.)
I know leaders and members of RO are curious about how Rogue switching issue will work because well, we have 35+ SG/VG I think we'll all go a bit insane if we have to make a Rogue/Vigilante Graygroup. -
Quote:Which section of the forums were you looking at? Cause I'm seeing "recent" replies from today, yesterday and last week.Just asking, your forums have 'recent' replies from Dec, Jan and May.
Is this just being propped up for old times sake or is it actually still active..
If you click the link for the Introductions forum you'll see posts from October. We just celebrated our 4th anniversary in August giving away 10 billion in prizes, holding events on 3 servers.
If you're in doubt, then join the global channel -/chanjoin "Repeat Offenders" and check the activity levels for yourself -
Quote:Coalitions share a chat channel and can use each others teleporters, invention worktable and vault. But yes coalitions can't aid in base raiding. Of course no one can base raid now.[ QUOTE ]
Your guide covers some basics of SG -- very nice guide. I only have one section that I disagree with.
[ QUOTE ]

Part Five: Coalitions & etc.

While they don't have much point ingame, coalitions can still be important.
[/ QUOTE ]
Coalitions have a very good point in game! They are your network to other capable Supergroups. The point of the game is to team and interact with others on your way to level 50. Coalitions with supergroups are a fantastic ways to build teams outside of your SG. Not everyone in your SG is going to be available all the time. Use of a Coalition will make your SG more active. Your SG of a max of 75 members has now, with coalition become a SG of 125 members. Or even say an SG of 20 will become double and triple that with the use of a good Coalition. You are only allowed 10 coalitions you need to make sure those SG's you're linked with are providing something to your SG.
For example , Repeat Offenders Network is based on building our superteams using the Coalitions. To even be in coalition to the Network, SG's are required to be highly active on coalition chat.
It is a way to team with people who you know are good players and are familiar with the game. They can also provide you decent team building tools. Beyond just hosting events and trading salvage. Think of coalitions as a network of seasoned players that you have first access to.
Its also a way to keep people in your SG from feeling isolated and alone when people are not on. Instead just looking to the members of your SG they have the option of giving a shout on the channel to see who else might invite them to team.
[/ QUOTE ]
I do understand where you're coming from - but from a game stand-point there's no much to do with them. We can visit their bases - but they can't aid us in base raids, we can't share prestige or crafted items, we can't transfer members (which would be a hoot).
But it does expand your own SG and present more teaming ops which I think is somewhat of the point of creating an SG in the first place -
