  1. When I first decided to accept the Community Manager position here at Paragon Studios, it was partly due to the fact that I would have the opportunity to work with the amazing EMpulse. EM, as we all know her, is easily one of the most respected and well loved Community Professionals in the industry today. She has been a part of the Community scene since its inception and has been an influential voice as Online Community Relations has developed over the last 15 years. As a part of the team that launched City of Heroes, she also has a tie to this Community that I only hope to be able to establish in the years to come.

Having said all of that, it is with a mixture of sadness and joy that we share this news with you: Earlier this year EMpulse made the decision to step down as the Community Lead for Paragon Studios in order to start a family! Not many outside of Paragon actually knew this information; because her pregnancy is considered high risk, she didn’t want to announce her departure in case anything had happened. Well, we’re happy to report that all signs indicate that EMpulse is expecting a healthy baby girl in the near future and will be a proud, first-time, mother at the age of 41! We here at Paragon couldn’t be happier for her and wish EM and her family good fortune and prosperity in the years to come.

EMpulse asked me to share her excitement and happiness with you, the COH Community and to tell you that she misses all of you, but that she knows that you will all be in great hands with the Paragon Community Team.

So from the bottom of Paragon’s, the Community’s, and my, heart, we wish you all the happiness in the world with your bouncing bundle of joy EMpulse!

  5. There are significant technical hurdles when attempting to implement cross server something. Additionally, you have to always consider the implications and impact that cross server anything could have on something. Of course, when implementing anything, we always need to be careful not to impact everything.

So in summary, we're always working on something, however it could be anything, as long as it doesn't negatively effect everything.

  6. Since the other one didn't work well...

    Free the names!

We are following this thread and taking your feedback into account all.

However, to be perfectly clear: We are not currently planning another name purge in the near future. There are reasons for this, which I am not at liberty to discuss at the moment.

Probably not Zamuel. I don't usually find out who it is until they walk over and pop their head in .

The Coffee talk is very impromptu and ad hoc, which is part of the fun.

I'll see everyone tomorrow morning at 10:30 AM Pacific!
  10. Ok...I think I need a Z doll now...

    Those are great!

    Lost badges

I'll forward this along to be investigated when I get into the office on Monday.

Some things to include in the report that could help when you file the bug report (because you are filing a bug report, right? )

    - Include the character name that this happened on
    - Include the exact names of the badges
    - try the best you can to provide the date/time when you lost these badges
    - If you think that this had something to do with changing alignment, be sure to be as granular as possible with the details surrounding this aspect.
  12. I'm in your game, rolling on lewts.

  16. I'd pass long these ideas but I'm pretty sure that if by some chance they made it past initial design the sound of our legal department's heads exploding would be heard here in CA.
  17. What...I just really like the 80's.

Now excuse me, I need to go and peg-roll my acid wash jeans while wearing my Hypercolor shirt and listening to my brand new Sony Walkman Cassette player.

  19. We've most certainly conveyed feedback received about equity in costume piece choices. What was communicated to me is that many of the pieces that are gender specific are usually done in that manner so as to allow for greater variety in character design options, in addition to accounting for production time, value and scope. (plainly said, more costume pieces mean more time in development which means less packs less frequently. Even if it's the same costume piece, it's and entirely "new" piece if we port it to different body types i.e.; male, female, huge). That being said, our character artists, such as Cheryl, are hearing requests for items such as more coat options for females and the like and will certainly take that into account with future new costume options.

We are committed to providing you all with a diverse range of costume design options, regardless of your body type or gender .
  20. This issue should now be resolved.
