To any fellow mid's build makers out there; heres an open challenge for you:
The challenge is simple, anyone whom is willing can try and improve upon the following build with some certain requirements in mind:
-The positional defense stays relatively the same, or improves if possible, or you give a reasonable tradeoff like good melee/smash/lethal defense or something.
-Perma dom stays, if nothing else the recharge could improve by 5-10% if possible, but no less than whats currently there.
-The pets stay, I like mah pets, as well as the attack choices (but if you give a very good valid reason for swapping something out ill take a look at it)
-Would prefer to keep the pools, I do occasionally have use for Aid other and Aid Self. Travel power does not matter so long as the slots are used for the betterment of the build.
I want the build to be as potent as can be for crowd control, DPS, overall survivability and any sort of encounter you can think of (Spore burst for sleeping AVs, etc). So if you can improve the build with no or at least reasonable sacrifices I'd like to see it be done as I've been puzzling over how to improve it myself. One thing I'd like to see is more damage and or procs in carrion if the chance presents itself.
So here's the build:

As soon as they make it so walk simply suppresses toggles and doesnt detoggle everything entirely, then ill actually use it on a regular basis for everyday stuff.
Not very convenient atm, but i do like the idea of being able to walk (for rp/showing off/acting tough etc), but just me personally gonna wait till/if they ever update it. -
Well after having supposedly gotten rid of any viruses, im now running into a new prob. The external HD is causing a multitude or probs. I tried using WinToFlash to use it to boot as Win7, or course that may not have been a good idea, I think it formatted the HD and now neither my laptop or my desktop are recognizing it in my computer.
For my laptop, putting it in the USB means the laptop may never boot, but when i take out the external HD, it continues to boot. With this i've notice sluggish behaviour and have even had to resort to forcfully shutting down laptop. The external HD had no prior damage and ran fine before I Win2Flash'd it.
Have just finished scanning both comps for viruses, somehow i must've picked up a couple trojans online on desktop, laptop came out clear though. Ran another malwarebytes / Avast scan, nada. So hopefully thats gone.
More worried about the external HD now, any ideas? -
That kinda sucks.
Was hoping to not waste 6 bucks extra and wait for the dvds to arrive =/ -
Now im having a new prob, since Im using a 32 bit OS (XP) and downloaded the 64bit version, it says i gotta burn the ISO file to a dvd or USB drive, i only have an external HD (hoping this will work)
What files do I need to copy?
Should I use VirtualCloneDrive?
Nasty virus i ran into tonight is making the process even more annoying. -
Got the $30 home premium edition and am ready to upgrade. Just want to hit the ground running when I do as to avoid any hassles.
Am currently using win xp 32 bit, 4 gigs of ram; which i plan to upgrade after i get settled in win 7, going to upgrade my core 2 duo as well. Because of Vista's reputation i never upgraded, but Win7 has convinced me so far.
Any compatability issues or bugs I should know about? Any ways around em?
For progs like CoH, mids, virus progs like avast/spybot, and other things such as Adobe cs3 any of those will I need to do some extra tweaking or anything?
Also, how about older games such as Diablo 1/2, Starcraft, and emulators and roms, etc.
Advice on this subject would be helpful. -
Quote:Well for me one thing i noticed is no matter how stable your system is, however good your ram/cpu and gpu are, you'll always get them pesky fps drops in farsight areas redside like nerva/cap and st. martial. Especially with visscale 4. Even if your system is more than capable of owning CoH requirement wise.Hoping with the GeForce GTX 285 I can run it at 1920x1200 max settings with at least 30 frames a second.
Like i usually average 60fps 99% of the time, but in areas like the ones mentiond above i get drops anywhere from 30 to 15FPS, and this is on a system thats capable of playing CoH 3 times over. -

2) Run a vacuum nearby to pull the kicked up dust out (again not through a fan). No sense letting it settle right back down. Quote:I would also suggest getting inside the case with the vacuum crevice tool first to clear out some of the dust. You don't want to be poking motherboard components with it, but there are plenty of areas in the case with nothing fragile.
Besides, I thought any vaccuum anywhere near the inside of a computer was a big no-no? -
Looking for a good compressed air cleaner for cleaning out dust from hardware / etc in my desktop tower.
Any advice? Is this something office depot or office max would have so I could just take a 5 min trip to the store and grab it instead of waiting a week for it to be ordered online?
Thanks. -
Just wait until we get a map maker.
This is the critical piece thats missing from AE imo. -
To add to BaB's quote, notice how theres no decapitating or dismembering moves from swords n stuff? Kinda makes the healing processs more realistic.

Considering upgrading to Windows 7 64 bit.
What would the pros/cons be from a tech guru's standpoint? this system is used for modeling/animating/gaming and other media purposes.
It has a e8400, 4 gigs of ram, but as of right now im only seeing 3.5 of that since its only xp32 bit. Anyway, would like to hear from ppl with win7 experience if it would be worth it.
Figure I'd get better performance overall, but this is just based off all the surprisingly good reviews im seeing about win7. Whether or not i upgrade to win7, when GR comes out im getting me a new GPU to.
Would just like to know little things, like un-workaroundable things like mem leaks, crashes, incompatibility with old stuff, etc. -
Im sure i'll be switching sides regardless of which market is better, I want to double dip in them HP/end accolades'
but yea, if I we're them I would at least find a way to try a merged market for a while, and if for some strange reason its worse than it is now (slim to none) they would hopefully be able to revert back. -
wondering if the big finale for hero con 2night will be a sneak peak at i17?
-
ugh, q2 2010 is when GR will be out?
REALLY hopin on that i17 release soon then -
Hmm, at a friends request, threw this together, I personally don't really care for the combo, but perhaps others could share their opinions on it?

As cool as the name "To hell and back" sounds, whats the point in an accolade that has no special power or bonus? Shouldn't it just be an achievement like the rest =/
-
I always /reloadgfx <--This dumps the CoH gfx card mem but not the physical mem
or reload CoH in general -
So i guess the question is, would you say my system is already showing signs of something being damaged? (Based on the info i gave)
If so how exactly could I "checK" to see if anything is really damaged / needs replacing / fixing. -
Sometimes after a shutdown or accidental power outage I have to hassle with the computer to get it to boot up again.
Here's an example scenario:
If I boot the computer fresh up in the morning after its been off for hours, or load it up from standby after getting off work, it loads up fine and so far I've never experienced any problems.
However if there is an accidental power outage (Like too many things being on in the house at once and causing the floor with my desktop to go out), or even sometimes if I had just recently turned the computer off, it will (on occasion) refuse to turn on for a couple minutes.
The symptoms include booting it up; it recognizes that it can power up and i hear the fan going. But "normally" when turning it on the fans turn on and then off after a few seconds like so. When this boot problem happens the fan just keep going, like something didn't click. So in this case I would need to power it off and try again after a bit of a wait.
When this happens the monitor doesn't recognize any feed so I see no bootup screen or anything. (Note: Taking out the power cord out from the PSU and letting it sit for a couple minutes does seem to alleviate the problem and I can boot normally again.)
This problem has been showing up lately (haven't really had it before), and lately I have had more power outtages than usual, but not from storms or anything (too much power running in the house causing short circuit), and I have the computer hooked up with a couple surge protectors if that means anything. (I haven't got to experiment yet with turning these off and on to alleviate the prob either)
What I want to know is if there's any problems that I should consider doing something about. On the bright side when the computer does boot normally it seems to operate fine and when restarting the computer there is no problems. Its just a "turn on" prob that I've been noticing and am wondering if there's something I should look into, but as I said it doesn't come up frequently, only after power offs it seems.
Probably a hardware related issue, everything client/software side is solid so I don't know how much advice I'd be able to get via this forum, but any advice or comments would be helpful.
This is not a serious issue (yet), just something that I'm somewhat curious about, and somewhat cautious to know if it could become serious.
(Note this is a dell desktop and the computer is under warranty)
