So all that is left are the contact arcs, that are often good indeed once you make it past the awesome choice of Snakes or Snakes but hold little new as well; having to do all the bank missions if you want the accolade; and the parts of zones that were too boring to also be a mission map.
Lack of exclusive content that makes redside interesting? Yes.
(And yes, the real incentive to be a villain, getting power and wealth without working hard for it, is not there. Maybe villains should get more inf for completing arcs and robbing banks? After all heroes get bonus inf for saving people in the streets.)

I can't remember a closed beta I wasn't a part of, after the initial walkthrough of the new content post Freedom I don't test anything, it's no different then the general section of the boards now.
That's understandable from a subscription retention pov, but that's where the advantages end in a testing environment where 'you pay you're in' is the lone requirement.

Sorry we missed you, it could've escaped me because I sent out probably 12 broadcasts in local and the global tanker channel for 2 open spots on my dib team and waited till it seemed like everyone was grouped. Sorry we didn't get you grouped up.
Uman started it up with the thumping of the big ugly robot GM and we ended up with four teams, thanks to White Guardsman Glacial Meltdown and Steel Dominator led the fourth team.
And honorable mention to Witty who found a spot for a lvl1 who was 20mins late after d/cing.

Just to add to what Hype said the drowning in blood trial is a turnstile so you can start it in kr lvl15 up max 8, the new trial that's in DA -name escapes me- is fun though it's high lvl which is tricky organizing for tt's. =]

Ya know for everyone who frequents the boards -myself included- it's really surprising sometimes how many people in game never look at them and have no idea there are things like a TankHQ or even TT, on my own server where the event started I'll random invite to the global channel the night we're hosting and 10-15 players thank me, they say they've never heard of it but happily join in.
The point being that even if you're not a mod, just doing a team search for tankers and mentioning the channel -which in turn tells them about the event- can bump up participation on whatever server.
And if you are a mod in TankHQ random invite tanks in the search window now and then you'll be surprised how many players don't take it as a spam in the least but will thank the invite. -
