It's not a matter of how fast they can kill them. Even if you don't assume that they put rewards on a cooldown like Adamastor (his 10 merits and 5 threads is only once per day) there's no way to guarantee almost any of them spawning. Most of them are on 3-4 hour spawn timers, if they're even up at the time you've got the team together. They -do- despawn if left alone long enough, otherwise they'd all be up together given how infrequently they're killed.

You'd be lucky to pull 90 (Every blueside that spawns in a zone + Seed of Hami) to 130 (Everything, assuming you've got a team of vigilantes/rogues) in a -day- if everything was up the time you've got the team together. You might wait an hour or so and probably get the Seed and Scrapyard up again, maybe hunting the 100 gremlins and Nerva demons for Caleb and Deathsurge. But that's a lot of tedium and a lot of travel time.

I'm just saying, 600/hour is kind of a huge overestimate. Even if they institute a change to make everyone summonable like Adamastor, they'd be put on a 24 hour cooldown for top rewards.

There is a fine line between too much and not enough.
er.. how did you come to that number?
  3. Yeah illusion works wonders on just SOs. Stay stealthed, confuse the mob then start zapping away. When you hit the boss, then you drop Phantom Army.

Masterminds seem to work pretty decent with SOs. Given, you lose the unique procs that boost to defense but for most that's an 'icing on the cake' not a make or break deal (and for sets that can't slot most of them, like Beast, a non-issue).
  4. Ahh that's probably it. I was just doing part of the Tina Macintyre arc, lots of clockwork there. Makes sense. What an odd little bug
  5. Yeah but John Smith is a very common name. Liz Shaw is not. I know I picked up on it right away.

Even if it started as a coincidence, there's no way the writers were not made aware of it soon after.

Facts are scary. And since you're a walking fact book.... you're potentially the scariest thing ever.

Probably why they gave you your own villain group.
  7. Because it's showing up on my Dual Pistol/Traps/Dark corruptor on Live. No powers listed, just the name there as shown. Nothing popping up on any of my other characters

  8. Yeah pretty sure that's Nega-Pendragon.

His sword, however, -is- an unlockable Titan Weapon. I think it works like Maelstrom's pistols, when you kill him there's a chance he'll drop the recipe. If you don't get the drop though, players that have completed the trial can go to Ouroboros and spend merits to unlock it (If they're a TW player)

    Not sure if serious.
  10. Yeah it's an issue that's been discussed at great length, several times. The devs are aware it's a problem, they just haven't either decided on a fix or haven't had time to commit to implementing it.

Generally it breaks down into a few camps. one is keeping the crash but making it worthwhile, as in the damage is enough that when you pop it, you -do- nuke something.

Or eliminating the crash. Archery and Dual pistols have shown crashless nukes can be well loved and very effective. In fact it's pretty much Hail of Bullets that keeps DP from being pretty bottom of the barrel.
  11. ....I wasn't refuting you. I was explaining to Kitsune that her assumption about how the powers list what enhancements they take is incorrect. They corrected a number of the errors a couple issues ago. You've clearly found one they missed, don't be so defensive please :P

From the sound of it, it is indeed a text error. A bit odd, since I presumed the Categories list was generated based on the data for what categories it supported automatically.
You've clearly missed a number of the updates from.. I think Issue 21? Maybe 21.5, where they corrected a lot of errors where powers listed they could take enhancements that they actually couldn't.
  13. Given how infrequently devs drop in to do an event live, I think you can put up with them for the hour or two they're there doing fun stuff for the game like invasions, costume contests, and playing frisbee in atlas park.

Yeah they tried that without the build up (Or even a freaking NAME) in X-men First Class and it had pretty much nil emotional impact. it worked perfectly with Coulson and he even got to go out on a crowning moment of awesome.
  16. Yeah, pretty much. I think we're just going to absorb what's left of Praetoria.
  17. At this point I don't think you really need to worry about needing peace between Primal and Praetoria. Don't wanna spoil anything but I23 seems to make the notion of 'relations with Praetoria' pretty moot.

Actually, I think her later comment to Hawk pretty much gives away that it worked -completely- as intended. But she has an amazing poker face and got what she wanted. But it's very clear that his words struck her, she's just not one to crumple and cry about it.

The most he -could- do. He was made the Well's Champion and thus extra-empowered from cutting the bargain with Hamidon.

So from a game mechanics standpoint. He fought the Hamidon when he was 50. After the fight and cutting the deal, he was 50+5.

Then again, one other thought occurs, maybe the only thing keeping him empowered was keeping the deal, so maybe he -couldn't- be the one to use the power to kill Hamidon or he'd break his deal.

Then again (again), we've been told the Well respects nothing but power so, you'd thinking gaining more power and then smashing your biggest foe to pieces would garner -more- power in their eyes.
  20. That was something I've been wondering lately.

Soooo much effort was put into wiping out the primals. You kind of wonder how successful they could have been turning all the weapons of mass destruction against the Devouring Earth. I mean, they have an orbital death laser, that couldn't have been effective? All that incarnate power, able to nuke his own city... -none- of that could stop the Hamidon?

I'm just hoping that the big reveal is that the Praetorian Hamidon is scary as hell and not just another speed bump for us to show just how pathetic Cole was in that if he and his Praetors had decided to put all their power and knowledge into taking out Hamidon they could've done it.

I mean that's really the core of the problem. Cole believed wiping out all of Primal's superheroes in a blitz was the preferred option over trying to take down Hamidon.

  22. Yeah, Cole made the first strike. And his plans to sterilize Primal Earth's super population didn't really sit well.

So, sort of a self fulfilling prophecy I guess? Cole feared contact with Primal would upset his utopia and thus his pact with the Hamidon, so he planned to wipe Primal out, which just brought us down on his head like a sack of bricks.
  23. Of course. The 'Nemesis' Giant Monsters are actually alternate world versions of Nemesis he's trapped and thrown into the blender. Every time we kill one we make Primal nemesis stronger until he'll be the only one in the multiverse and can ascend.

Also you can just go to Ouroboros to see his real face. :3
  24. As for Accolades...

    Heroside:
Moonfire TF - Generally awards the Slayer and Silver Bullet badges for the Atlas Medallion.
Positron 1 - Great for earning Gearsmasher for the Phallanx Reserve Member Accolade
Sister Psyche - Good for earning Tankbuster for the Phalanx Reserve Member accolade
Katie Hannon - Needed for the Geaes of the Kind Ones

    Redside:
Ice Mistral TF - Required for Megalomaniac
Lord Recluse Strike Force - Required for Marshal
  25. I -hate- that Redside GMs despawn. I've been in a handful of Scrapyard teams when he despawns in the middle of the fight. That is -ssssssssoooo- damn annoying, especially when we've been close to dropping him.

I think if he aggroes he shouldn't despawn :P I can't imagine that's a super hard change to code
