Is there a source for this notion that we'll be able to purchase two additional costume slots? I haven't heard anything about this.
If this does get added to the store, though, I can see where a lot of my points will be going. I'd buy more than five extra slots for some of my characters. What I really want, though, is a tailor NPC that we can add to our bases. -

This kind of childish disregard for policy and general forum courtesy isn't something I expect to see on the CoH boards.

I, for one, won't miss you. You've had seven years of content designed for you. It's okay for some content to be developed for other people.

Hover and Stealth give the same amount of defense. You have to decide if a pool choice and two power picks is worth 7.5% rech for you. The survivability that hover brings is very substantial against many targets. I'm really not sure why you've picked the APPs that you have. If you want a res shield, go Electric mastery so you can pick up Electric Fence. It works great in an attack chain with Shriek and Scream, and keep a big target off of you if you don't want to use Hover.

Did your defender just change genders?

I always thought Kin was the best way to go about it. You're making the enemies less able to hurt your team by taking away their "luck" and giving it to your team mates.

Quote:All this tells me is that you're not a team player. If someone asks you to switch because it would be beneficial to the team, there's no reason to get all huffy about it.These topics always make me chuckle a little.
If anyone ever tells me I need to switch off a tanker, I immediately quit team and go do something else. (But it's been years since I had to.)
Hands-down, the easiest and most fun TF's I've ever done were on Tanker Tuesdays.
If two tanks are too many, WTF is going on with EIGHT?
People who say that sort of thing are idiots.
As for the subject at hand, I usually won't care if I happen to get two tanks on my team, just because most content in this game is so easy. I do know that usually any spot on the team taken by a Tanker could be better used by another AT, though, and if given a choice between a Tank or something else it isn't really a hard decision. -
And just because some costume hounds don't like actually playing the game, doesn't mean some don't. Some people want to have cool costume rewards for doing endgame stuff, and this is the first thing they've gotten in this vein in seven years.

You have to be on the ground to use many Trap powers. Like Acid Mortar, PGT and the mines.

So, did this session go any better? Did we get any new information?
-
Pretty much, I guess it's best to just wait until the next Ustream or watch for forum announcements. For anyone who missed the first session and is considering going to the next one at 13:00 PDT, I wouldn't waste your time if you're already up to date on all the current information. Even if you are confused about some things, you'd probably be better off asking your question on the forums, as so few questions were answered over sporadic amounts of time.

If you gain a tick of recovery while your endurance is draining, you can prevent from detoggling. Anyway, it looks like my friend actually isn't going to be able to play for a while now, so I'm having to put this project on indefinite hiatus. Thanks for all the input that was given, folks.

I wouldn't be surprised to see further proliferation once Freedom launches as unlockables in the Paragon Store.

Quote:That doesn't factor in ease of use, though. For some sets the T1 attack wouldn't be worth using without Bruising, and it has to be applied to every target individually. A Defender can just open up with an AoE and have the bonus damage apply to every enemy it hits.Actually, it is better than vigilance. Vigilance (while solo) grants +30% bonus damage, which only increases base damage of attacks. Bruising is -20% resist, which adds 20% to your total damage. Thanks to enhancements, bruising essentially does more for you.
Expressed mathematically for an attack that does 100 base damage:
Total Vigilance damage = 100 + 100*.95 + 100*.30 = 225
Total Bruising damage = (100 + 100*.95) * 1.20 = 234 -
Pretty much. With enough recharge you just spam the T1 and T2 attacks and keep a nice DPS going as well as stacking your -res efficiently. I've heard adding in Screech at some point can help out, but I like being able to just focus on using my two attacks when I'm trying to take on something like an AV. On teams all you'll usually have time for on most spawns is setting down Enervating Field and launching a Howl before most of the enemies get mopped up.

Quote:I miss being able to play MMs. Fix pet AI, please.Hmm,
the first time I saw my Robotic MM in action after getting the level 32 upgrade. (this was awhile ago.. not long after CoV's release)
The laser light show and swarm of missiles, leaving fire patches all over.. one of the few things in this game that has actually caused my jaw to drop xD -
Don't let the door hit you on the way out.
