This may or may not actually lower the HP/sec regen, even though the regen percentile would go up, due to the loss of max HP. I'll have to take a look when I can use Mids.
If you don't mind definitely let me know if the changes are better. An extra 20% Regen just by switching what I have in True Grit to Health would be nice.

I also have another question about my build. Would taking away one from Maneuvers and putting that slot in Midnight Grasp with a recharge reduction be more appealing? I would lose about 0.3 Def but still maintain soft cap, and Midnight Grasp would gain a little. Since my build lacks the recharge that Sants and others have with the PvP recipe.

Then put 5/6 Heca in Midnight Grasp. Take one of the spots from Maneuvers and place it in Midnight Grasp with a recharge reduction. You will keep soft cap with this build and have about 10% more recharge and be able to use the Smite, Siphon Life, Smite, Midnight Grasp chain a lot smoother.

Toying around with things some more. Found that you would get more Regen if you slot the Numina's in Health instead of True Grit. Going from 305% to 329%.

  4. This is not really directed towards anyone in this thread, but it's something I'd like to get off my chest and maybe even some feedback on. For a while now the Devs have known that Shield Charge is over performing. But they have had more pressing matters to attend to, so that is why it has not been fixed (yes fixed, not nerfed..). Will the fix come with Going Rogue or i18? I'm not sure, but I doubt it. If I had to guess it will happen after Going Rogue is released.

Now the part that gets me is when I'm out and about and teaming with some random people. They keep asking me, "What am I going to do when SC gets nerfed?" My reply is always the same, honestly I don't think it will effect me much at all. And it's not getting nerfed it's getting fixed.

When I run missions by myself or to help some friends level up, I run my farm at +3/x8 and that's with Bosses. Which I hardly have any problem with. Jump into mob, let Against all Odds stack up, hit Soul Drain, then follow it up with Shield Charge. All the minions are wiped out and most of the Lts as well. The ones that are not only need 1-2 more strikes and they are finished. The bosses take maybe a dozen hits to fall and then I rinse and repeat.

The thing is even if they lower the damage of Shield Charge to say Lightning Rods level it will still wipe out the minions and put a good chunk in the Lts. A couple more hits here and there is not going to make much of a difference. But let's say I am farming at more 'efficient' levels. Mobs +0/x6 (or 8) without bosses. No matter how they change SC you would still be more than capable of blowing through mobs at this level.

So why is it that so many people think SD's is going to suck or not be much fun once SC is fixed. Do that many out there rely on SC that much? My attack chain of Smite, Siphon Life, Site, Midnight Grasp, Smite is a whole lot sweeter than that.
  5. My Dark Melee/Shield Defense Scrapper.

Oh no, this won't be my farmer. My DM/SD Scrapper has that covered easily. My last comment was to when you said that you rarely come across things that use Fire rare. As it is not rare to me because I spend a portion of my time farming the Demons, who use Fire. So I see it all the time.

That would make since then. I deal with Fire a lot, as one of my typical farms are Praetorian Demons.
  8. You can soft cap a Blasters range Defense. I've done it with a few builds I am toying with on MID's. Haven't settled on what powers I want though.

A quick build with Fire/MM that is soft cap for Range Defense. Warning though the build may not be 'good'. I am still learning the does and don't of Blasters. What are the good attacks and bad ones from their sets.

I think you are right. Even with the recharge that I have, when Hasten is down I typically have to wait just a hair to run the chain. Another 5-10% would be amazing to have, but I just don't know if i can fit it in somewhere. =(

Not sure where to look in MID's to figure this out, but can someone tell me if the run speed obtained with this build is sufficient now, while in Granite (possibly even Rooted..). Swift is double slotted for a 64.2% run speed, and through all the set bonuses I have another 61.0% added.

Though they had said there were more pressing matters to deal with first. (Going Rogue) So how I understood it is we might see SC fix when GR hits, if not then it won't be until after.
  17. Anyone have a good build for a DM/Inv with just using SO's?

I made a few changes to your build to lower your endurance cost as its really high on the second build. I'm a stickler for DDR so I'd try to get your DDR as close as you can to the cap.
Thanks for the overlook Sant. =) Working on financing this build now, just some minor changes but still broke from IOing my Tanker (who is not finished still, but is on the back burned to get this changed lol).

I do have a question however about the build. Would I be better off slotting another Mako's Bite over the Heca's, so it could free up Siphon Life to be 'frankenslotted'? Or would I be losing too much out of it by dropping the purple? (Recharge, End, Acc)

I have a DM/SD Scrapper which easily takes then out. I routinely run the missions at +3/8 and only run into rare occasions when I have to pop Insp. Against all Odds + Soul Drain + Shield Charge is wonderful. I went with Body Mastery for extra endurance, but you could go Blaze Mastery and get another excellent AoE with Fireball.

I second this. You could then place a Kismet Unique there for an extra +6% to hit. Another thing I would change, if you have Ninja run. Switch out Swift for Hurdle. Hurdle + Ninja run works wonders for traveling.
  21. My DM/SD Scrapper runs these missions all the time with relative ease, even at +3/x8.

Did they grind up the Infinity Gems and put in there? He's Marvel's Superboy Prime, and nothing good ever went on with Superboy Prime.
I've never been a fan of the Sentry. To me he is a lot like Rulk (Red Hulk) a whole lot of bad writing.

Blue Steel doesn't read books. He stares them down until they give him the information he wants.

Blue Steel doesn't wear a watch. He decides what time it is.

Outer space exists because it's afraid to be on the same planet as Blue Steel.

Blue Steel uses a night light. Not because he is afraid of the dark, but because the dark is afraid of Blue Steel.

If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it. Does it make a noise? Yes. Blue Steel hears everything.

Blue Steel played Russian roulette with a fully loaded gun, and won.

When Blue Steel was born, the only person who cried was the Doctor. Never slap Blue Steel.

Majority of the Gods in Marvel are on that same level as Ares, if not below. With a few exceptions such as Thor, Hercules (technically not a God), Odin, Zeus etc. Let's take the rest of the Asgard Gods for example. Baldur, the Warriors Three, Heimdall, Sif, etc are all far below Thor. Save Heimdall none of those above come close to Ares in strength level. So yes save for a select few there are plenty of beings out there that are far more powerful than Marvel's typical God.

You mentioned Galactus, well Sentry has faced off against him. He was said to stalemate him. Was it ever on panel? No, but it was a stated reference. I have not doubt it was a weakened (Hungry) Galactus, but even then that is still a feat. Of course there are a lot more ridiculous feats out there for him as well.
