I'd care less about fire/cold/range/aoe defense and more about sm/le.

I am not sure how much you want to spend, but with all your defense powers you have ample room for LotG +recharge.

I'd probably drop Maneuvers (or Combat Jumping, but I really prefer to keep CJ) and be a few points below cap with only one guy in range in order to take Hasten so I can have Dull Pain and better attacks more.

The below build is much more expensive than yours, so maybe its right out. I left Maneuvers in, but, again, I would swap it out for Hasten.

Y'know, I've never gone the route of getting Smashing/Lethal Defense on any of my characters. Is it considered universally better to have S/L/E/N Defense over F/C/E/N? That seems like three damage holes, Psi, Fire, and Cold that you can't really mitigate much.

Please explain away, folks! Thanks.

IMHO, S/L alone is better than F/C/E/N, even on an inv, due to the overwhelming number of S/L attacks and most defense debuffs being S/L.

Most cold attacks have a smash component so roll against S/L def as well, the same is true for fire melee attacks and some ranged powers (fireball).

I was considering one as well b/c I love my Invuln/DM tank.

I played with the great build Stratonexus made and made a few tweaks based on how have historically used this powerset. Of course it is expensive too but I get my hasten and s/l defense cap too.

Thanks again for the input. Happily leveling up a DM/Inv after figuring out a build with the advice given to me. After my Dual Pistols Blaster, it will probably be the next one that I'll IO out.

If you are going to take a power on the way to Physical Perfection, take Focused Accuracy with a single EndRed. Conserver Power does nothing for you, especially with Dark Consumption. FA can be clicked on demand to dramatically reduce ToHit debuffs or a small ToHit buff just to finish Rikti drones so it is actually quite useful with the default single slot.

A fully enhanced Dull Pain plus accolades should take you close enough to the Hit Point cap that you are wasting bonuses while it is up. Therefore I really have to question whether 3 extra slots in Dark Consumption where you slot Perf Shifter are really worth it. With +End procs in both Stamina and Phys Perf and your IOs do you even use Dark Consumption? I am surprised you aren't Endurance neutral without it.

Those three extra slots could be used elsewhere. For example, for one of those you could slot a Hecatomb A/R/D and a Hecatomb proc in Smite or Shadow Punch for extra damage and a 4% end boost.

Another thing you could do with extra slots is to swap the Mako's 4 bit with two Pounding Slugfest for 8% regen for each slot. Or simply add procs to the short attacks for extra damage.

Hell, if you can get your Endurance neutral drop Dark Consumption entirely for Shadow Maul and slot that with Obliteration and Cleaving Blow for 4.5 E/N defense. With the lack of AoE I find a 3 or 4 mob Shadow Maul is well worth the animation time.

I've never taken it, but didn't we just have a thread about how FA totally blows?

And if you're happy with DC, then why even get PP? Conserve Power, DC and PP are all about Endurance. Two are click, with one being a suck stuff up and the other a meter it out slow. The auto is a recovery. I see no conflict in any of them.

People still think of it as a ToHit and Accuracy boost. For that it isn't good. To combat ToHit debuffs it is very good. In fact, it's the only power in the game as far as I recall that offers substantial ToHit debuff protection.

Personally I would rather be Endurance neutral then rely on click powers that eat up activation time and thus DPS. Although DC is slightly nicer as an on demand End recovery against end drain.

FA only blows if you are using it as an expensive Tactics for the small ToHit and accuracy bonus coupled with perception. In that case FA is worse than Tactics and overall not very good.

FA is good against ToHit debuffs. Sure they are rare in the end game since you graduate from Spectrals and Sorcerors just as you can finally get it, but in the context of this build it is infinitely more useful than CP. Even against Rikti drones or Force Field longbow types it offers a small ToHit buff and 20% accuracy. Compare that to CP which offers, um, nothing to this build.

Should you forsake other pools to get it? No. Should you slot it or keep it on all the time? No. It is more useful than CP in a build with DC? Yes, definitely.

I made this build before i17 because my old build had some BotZ and so I created a new build, but I was unaware of the changes to the procs.

An interesting idea with Focused Accuracy. I might have to go with that!

Dark Consumption and Conserve Power are there to recover from -Recovery or -Endurance attacks against me. The passive Resist Recovery/Endurance I've got is nice-to-have, but just doesn't cut it.

I can't do Shadow Maul. I just can't, hahah. I detest that power.

I currently have a level 42 DM/Invuln but have put him on the shelf while I worked on other toons. I'm thinking about dusting him off though and giving it a go again. I have a few questions on its survivability with not having 45% defenses and (best I've seen) 70% Resistance.

Are the caps for Resistance the same Tankers? Or is 70 top notch.
S/L seems to be the Defenses to cap for this build, is it possible to get S/L/E/N/F/C all in that ball cap, or am I having to pick and choose? I've come to know Shields pretty well, so still learning to does and don't of Invulnerability.

Resistance cap for scrappers is 75.
It is possible to get s/l/e/n/f/c at the cap but I'd rather see s/l at 45, e/n at 42+ and f/c at 38+ with 1 foe in Invincibility.

I really like the way the build looks. I do have a question however. What is the damage output like with having all the attacks mostly slotted with level 30-35 enhancements/IO's?

I made a minor change to Dull Pain and just went with the usual of 5 Doctored Wounds. Under the addition of the 42.5% global Recharge, all of the attacks Recharge as fast as if they were enhanced into the red by themselves. Damage is enhanced into the red. Accuracy is decent and Endurance Reduction is pretty good on the attacks as well.

With that said, it looks pretty good to me so I think it will perform great. I just haven't leveled up my DM/Inv yet. I've been busy with other things.
