The Contact and Character Information Windows
As of Issue 8, opening the contact screen causes a drastic reduction in FPS and a jittering effect as the contacts are being loaded. Once completed, however, FPS returns to normal. This issue is universal for ATI and Nvidia users.
[/ QUOTE ]
i belive the scanner part of the contacts menu is the cause of the drop in fps, it apears to load a neat little, almost unnoticable gfx.
i don't play villan side often enough to really try it out, but if memory serves me correctly, then i belive the same goes there for the newspaper part of the contact screen.
just my 2 inf. if anybody else can notice it, then thats something small the devs could look in to cleaning up. but im not a programer, so i wont say that again. -

The the "Council War" is next!
I've seen the future!!
[/ QUOTE ]
you know... i can think of a plot twist with that comment...
:the 5th have alwasy been here, many of those that integrated with the council have been plotting to get revenge. the Rikti returning is the perfect distraction for the Council. the 5th try to anex from the inside, just as the Council did in issue 3. :
just my rough scetch -

I concur that the picture for co-op faction TF is way weak. You need two or more toons that typify their faction.

give it time, this was just the teaser release. more will come later, when the devs go home and play the game on there home pc, while they leave us in teh dark.
after about 2 weeks of dark, they'll remember us, and give us some of those screenshots they made on their $5000 gaming machines.... -
i await the Devs to give us spoilage!!!!

It's no secret. From the forum rules:

5. No I Demand Answers threads
Threads that make threats or use other combative language will be removed without notice. If you ask a question on the board and it has not been addressed by a moderator, there is a reason for that (or there is not an answer currently available). In the event of legitimate emergencies, or other unprecedented scenarios, we will endeavor to provide comments, even if it is only to state that there is no officially available information. However, this is not always possible.
[/ QUOTE ]
And yet, Positron has indulged two 'calling out' threads.
Forum mods should have locked both down contents unseen just by the thread title alone.
If there are more of them, Posi, it's you're own fault.
[/ QUOTE ]
i think the reason why any dev would answer a post like that were due to the other litigations of the forum rules.
meaning, they looked at the thread, researched the issue, and found the problem, and let you know they found the issue/or found a fix to the issue...
_Castle_ does this quite a bit, weather its a "call out" thread or not, if he looked in the spreadsheets and finds a problem, he lets us know. and he lets us know he fixed it on his own internal build (which means he has already fixed it, it just needs to be implemented into a future patch, along with anything any other dev has found< which requires QA assitance, since when you fix one bug in a build, the change in code might cause another bug, which wont be discovered until the patch is implemented>
basicly, even tho they may reply to a 'call out' thread, its because they found a legitimate issue. and/or the concern that others are having the same issue...
take notice, they normaly don't answer a call out thread if its only one person having that issue, not enough documentation to point to what the issue is. but if theres a lot of posts from other people with very similar issues. they may give a heads up about it. (which would also be limited to one other issue, there are only so many devs to read the post, and so many players posting, weather those posts are bug related, or other stuf)
I support the devs! -
Yay for Cricket!!!!!!
nice to hear from you.
at least you didn't give us the cold sholder like Cuppajo did -

I saw the actual Lord Recluse in person. He was there.
[/ QUOTE ]
I thought the guy behind Recluse had left Cryptic?
[/ QUOTE ]
He has, but Serdar Copur, one of the producers for CoX recently said in his Ask the Devs Q&A here, that he had now taken over the Lord Recluse avatar. So I guess technically he is the actual Lord Recluse. He's just the new Lord Recluse.

kinda like superman..
with Christopher Reeve, then Brandon Routh playing it...
same character, just differnet actors, lol -
i wonder who played which devs....
obviously, posi played posi
Poz played synapse...
but who else? -

Weve had many players urging us to put out Issue 9 onto the live servers, bugs and all, because the game they were playing on the Training Room was more fun and engaging than the current live version of the game
[/ QUOTE ]
I must say, tho i wasn't one who said that exactly, id rather see any bug no matter how small, if ive seen it or not, be crushed before going live...
but to enforce that quote. after i was let in on the second group of the closed testing, i was playing test more than i was on live, not because i was just testing, but because it was indeed MUCH more enjoyable than live.
i will say, that issue 9 TOWERS over issue 8. issue 8 is a small increase compaired to issue 9.
safeguard missions, the revised faultline, and other changes in issue 8 are nothing compared to whats coming in issue 9!!!
I congratulate the Devs on such a great issue.
its so great, i really don't care if any bugs really get trough on live, i'll still be the biggest blast EVER!!!!

i'll be here all day tommorow, but sombody might want to come onto triumph and yell at me to remind me, lol

The. Best. Audio. Stuff. For. CoX. EVER!

OK, i havn't read this thread all the way trough, so my comment is based soley on the article i read
First off, IF ANYBODY FINDS A WAY TO BEAT HAMI, don't make a player guide about it!!!! just tell all your friends via PM or tell
2), DON"T SHOW UP LATE to a raid, or your gonna be one of those 50+ people in a compleatly separate instance of the hami.
3) its gonna be a compleat failure for a while. don't expect any HOs unless you take a STF run.
just my thoughts.
but my questions are this...
since we have to defeat the monsters in the zone to spawn hami, is there like a group of monsters we need to look for to achive this, or are we gonna be left in the dark runing around for 6 hours trying to defeat every monster in the zone. because, if it takes to long to defeat monsters, then screw raids. id rather do a nightly run of the STF -

<ul type="square">Escort NPCs will not follow you if these are slotted on your characters.[/list]
Now, before the uproar starts, I have to say that unless we find a satisfactory solution for the last item on the list, these IO's have a high probability of being cut before reaching the live servers. Even if that problem is solved, it is still unlikely that you will be able to slot all 4 versions in a single character -- either that, or the stealth aspect will be reduced greatly.
[/ QUOTE ]
just make the NPCs like the scientists in warburg, they follow not matter what. ....
just a thought... -

Oh, I know. But this way the people who just skim for "red name" posts get a chance to see it.

it works
i usually look trough the dev/community digest first before looking at any other posts -
if you ask me, if its not a powerset, or animation change, then is probally a costume piece.
im thinking a priate hand nub or something -
regarding notes on the OP.
i think having a rare drop on an AV type would be cool, but if possible, (for the obvious limiting purpuse) make it so a toon can only get the drop once for that AV. if he joins a team for it again, he/she will not get it, just get the standard insp/enchancment drop as normal. -

Ooo, i don't know if i should ask since WW dosn't post often..
but did you play till they closed down the EnB server????
I wish i did, i might have actually gotten my only char to 150. but i decided to nix it once they anouced closure.... -
dumb question, anybody know the emote, for the stance that yor toon does when it exits a tunnel mish, or something. best exampl i have, is when you exit pocket D, to Kings row, your toon looks around like he's been slaped by the invisable man, ... anybody know that emote???
-
we.. after 56 pages, i don't think i have time to read it all, lol
but we'll miss you CuppaJo.
i hope you'll still drop in once an a while and blast away, or ... whatever your AT is, lol.
I hope this isn't a sign tho.... the only other MMOG that i ever played was Earth and Beyond. .. .. .. .. .. it was our first sign that they were ending it soon when the community leads (devs/mods) started getting moved around by there parent company... . . .. .. .. .. .. .. i hope this aint the case here, i havn't made 50 yet on my first toon, and i want to get 50 on a PB/WS, lol
