Thigh high boots?
Yes please. Not to troll, not because I 'swing that way' but because my character just might.
I'd love less 'gender neutrality' and more 'free for all' -
-
-shrug- I just handwave it in all honestly XD My Natural Dual Pistols/Traps corruptor was a pretty 'normal' character, now he can do a super kick, summon romans, and shoot up a barrier that blocks most things. Not to mention before he was an incarnate when he inexplicably gained a shadowy aura that resists damage, the ability to revive via soul sucking, and enemies near him suddenly becoming stunned from the dark shroud around him.
I've always found Epic pools to be the big point where concepts can break down honestly, and no, I'd rather break concept than gimp my character. -
Quote:Could that be triggering Marty? Accruing so many at a 'discount' you're not supposed to have. They have always cost 250k each.
The bug was when it was attempting to give you an inexplicable 25% discount.
I've had it happen to though. Luckily I was pretty much done, but I've purchased converters via merit vendors and suddenly been locked out -
Burn threads for iXP, don't worry about iXP rate. With 10 threads daily you can have Judgment and interface unlocked from scratch in less than a week (3 days per slot). Which doesn't factor in drops from arc runs, or the SSA rewards.
And honestly, you're better off doing the Weekly Strike Target with someone for the Notice of the Well and build it from shards. They don't drop in DA, sure, but given the time it takes to build up 8 emps you're better having that rare for one of the other 4 drops. You can also burn astrals into shards at a 1 to 1 conversion, so 4 astrals = 1 common. Though outside of that, burn astrals into threads for iXP and components for everything else. -

Wow, yeah that protect the midnight mansion mission is a pain. I did fine until the 2 elite bosses showed up and just shredded my pets and proceeded to manhandle Ward. It should really just spawn -1- EB on basic settings ;p
I'm generally enjoying Night Ward as a continuation of First Ward, just started Sir Bedwr so interested to see how the story runs. I like the Animus Arcana and the zone has some interesting flair.
I am a little sad that it lacks -any- kind of tailored content for loyalists/resistance. First Ward at least had the 'newspaper' missions. This just gives everyone Sir Lionel and Atherton Cromwell, who -really- should've been split between hero/villain, cuz Cromwell really has -no- business being a hero contact. -
-
Prometheus also makes specific mention that the Devouring Earth are pouring up against the sonic fences and that's why we're rushing to kill Cole, before the Hamidon overwhelms the city and merges with him.
I'll be honest though, I'm a little sad to see that the Talons attack and subsequent defeat at the hands of the Carnival of Light are just summed up quickly in the first 5 seconds of teleporting into the magisterium trial, where you just get told what you missed.
It seems like that whole battle could've been it's own arc like Belladonna's.
Also, anyone else catch Aurora's new carnie outfit? -
Villains have a contact or two locked behind the inf badges (Doc Buzzsaw comes to mind). Heroes don't have anything I think.
-
Yeah you still make half inf in supergroup mode these days. So if inf isn't a major concern but you want to design that top of the line supergroup with all the amenities, feel free.
I've got a couple solo supergroups that just over time from starting the group early have all the things I want (which is mostly a crafting table and teleporter access). -
Quote:It doesn't, honestly. Like Lazarillo said.It ties into the Warden path - helping the Resistance fight the loyalists, but without blowing up stuf that doesn't need to be blown up.
First Ward breaks from all 4 paths because you have the Resistance turning on you and you're set against Cole's forces from the get go. Certain story paths are revealed to be canon but it doesn't pick up where it left from. The First Warders are sort of Resistance by association, but as someone said they're more like the people that are against Cole but don't want to go in with the Resistance. Especially after the regime change, since the Hetman and his men were the main vestige of Resistance membership. Afterward I'd call it neutral and more closely aligned with the Carnival of Light than anything. -

Hit 'find contact'. If it's available, it'll show up. Done.
-
I'd expect the zone pack to hit the market soon, possibly this tuesday
-
So 23 is out, 24 is probably within a month or so of hitting the beta, if not sooner.
What's everyone hoping to see in the next issue? Contentwise, I know there's more than a laundry list of bugs to be fixed.
We know that at least part of the issue will be devoted to wrapping up Praetoria and the aftermath of Cole's empire being gutted.
Personally I'm hoping for some new taskforces and a final Praetorian zone to push goldside to 50. Something to fill the 30-35 gap Redside (and thus another 30-35 TF blueside if they keep doing the 'equal additions or co-op' ideology) and a new Incarnate TF, either something in Dark Astoria or in post-Cole Praetoria. With better rewards than Tin Mage/Apex, a single astral is pretty weak ;p
Also expecting we'll be seeing Nature Affinity and Bio Armor at release. -
I actually haven't had a single problem with pets getting 'stuck' at the entrance since Issue 22 dropped. Like, ever. Any time I zone, any time I trial, etc. That bug has just completely disappeared for me. I thought it'd been fixed gamewide, honestly. I've got 2 Masterminds now, an incarnate Necro/dark and a 31 Beast/time, never had a problem with the pets being stuck.

It's just easier to say the AvP movies were crap writing in all regards and ignore them.
-
Quote:Well right but you could concede the possibility instead of outright disavowing it :P I do agree though, it's too vague to really say for certain. Not really. I'm saying none of us knows enough about that universe to be able to say which came first. There are too many unknowns about the origins of all the involved races/species.
I just hope. -
My personal take on the canon, which is highly biased, is just Alien, Aliens, Predator, Predator 2, and Prometheus.
As far as I'm concerned, nothing happened past Aliens and there was never a movie crossing the two franchises. It's made me a happier person for it. -
Quote:You're missing the point. If the xenomorphs did not come about until THAT SPECIFIC INSTANCE in Prometheus, then by a simple matter of time the Predators couldn't have taken them for use as 'the ultimate prey' on ancient earth.Doesn't matter if it was an accident or deliberate, and we have no reason to believe the Predator race didn't have some sort of contact with the Engineers, either by direct association or by accidental discovery.
It is not hard to believe that one party would claim to be the inventor/creator of something another party discovered/created. After all isn't that what Weylund's been doing all along? Stealing alien secrets and developing them as their own inventions.
The black goo is predisposed to be a bio weapon of the engineers. But we don't know if the bio weapon is actually intended to create xenomorphs as we know them or if it was a fluke from the chain of events in Prometheus (Which is Goo + humans + spawning = Goo baby monster + engineer = Xenomorph). Like the stuff does xenomorph-like things, but we can't know if it was always intended to create them in the form we know them.
So, yes, it's very possible that it completely retcons the back history in AvP. -
Actually, one thing I was always curious about is why Malta is strictly the paramilitary operation. Their whole backstory that we find out and piece together is about using supers as weapons for the good of the country, whether it's recruiting them via coercion or other nastier means. Yet the group you fight is strictly normal humans with fancy gear. I mean honestly when you hear about it, it sounds a lot like the set up from Heroes, with a Super and a Handler. But again, supers are completely absent from the in-game roster.

Because no one plays the Synapse or Lady Grey Taskforces where he actually appears.
