    Round 3 P.P.

    Poison for Corruptors and Defenders
    Aye to Ninjitsu on Scrappers
Can't...really think of any more...Poison is the main one tbh, want to re-make my Thugs/Poison MM into a Dual Pistols/Poison Corr when GR hits

Think I might change my tune on that.

  3. Hehe, a nice way to end my evening ^^
People who claim games are bad for people are wrong. Games CAN be great for people. Socially, people have always made games.

Besides, who knows? Maybe we will end up with real life Heroes, if people get inspired enough? =]

Same sundae on a different plate, in my opinion.
Given that the actual 'Capture the Flag' part of it was incredibly new, yes, it is rather hopeful.

Given any lack of further evidence, I am assuming the models and GM were stand-ins for the real thing. I might well be wrong, which will be sad if they aren't stand ins.
That said, it IS a free event, on top of ToT and Zombies.

Yeah. Says that you should have been on at 7, when there were a number of teams in Atlas, where we successfully completed 1 in 3 attempts at the event.

Oh, but of course, we dont count, because we dont support your FACT that the EU servers are dead, do we?

  8. Demo-editing by the looks of it. Pretty darn complex to get something like that done, but all text based.

That first video...thats genius, that is. I LOVE the end scene...

  9. Gawd, if only the Krimzon Guard had got anywhere, and not petered out like a brief candle...I woulda begged you for that awesome work! Superb!

(KG were a Union based Spider RP group )
  10. Well, I finally decided what to do with that empty second build I had kicking around, at any rate!
  11. Warburg posseses Toxic's too. Not sure they count, however.

Inf IS money in this game. Any statement to the contrary is based on outdated design thoughts. SG/VGs do fund lowbies. Account wide storage is nothing more than a logical boon of convenience to single account holders.

Even from a roleplay standpoint, my main hero and main villain would pool funds because their end goal is the same.

If YOU wish to roleplay reasons why your characters wouldn't help each other out, adding account based storage won't change that.
And this. Better worded than I managed.

    Bill Z programming: Superior
    Damn hell-squishy...

I'm still not in favor of the idea 100%, but let's not pretend that Influence isn't money with a fancier name.
This. I would personally prefer it to be used more as a catch-all phrase.

Some Heroes start out stinking rich, some don't. Some are well known, some aren't. Some are rarely seen, some are very public.

None of that really detracts from the job they do. Villains the same, if somewhat mirrored. I've always had a bit of an itch over how the game deals with money.

Still, while it might be an inconvenience at times, it's not a game breaking issue. QoL edits are always nice, mind.

Oh, and paws off the servers if you aren't a Dev

    I fully agree, in-game info would be handy. Hell, I've been playing however long, and one of the more common questions I pepper my friends and SG mates with is;
'Uh...which Icon is the Xnumber tailor mission at?'

Not a bad guy, but a good guy who's seen the error of his ways.

Same thing the other way, but obviously that would mean rejoycing by villains that yet another goody is turned to the dark side. Still the same principle applies though.

You ran the tunnel, somewhere along the way it had a fork, but whichever end you crawl out of, it's the one that was meant for you.

I honestly fail to see why people would, even from a roleplay stance, not allow reformed heroes or villains on their teams. I CAN see those reasons when applied to ITF's though, since even a common goal means you'd essentially side with the wrong ones. No trials laid out, no road travelled, just a different door leading to the zone. Yeah, that would fit better (and has happened to me as well twice over time when on my Brute with 7 heroes shouting in bc 'lf1 more for ITF', ignoring the vills around..)

RPers will not be the ones to turn you away (Unless they are uncompromising RPers, in which case they are a bad example of the normal RP crowd)

Its these people who have a strange aversion to KB that will start whining.
They really should be focussing on how much INSANE damage the bots do
  16. At first I didn't know CoX HAD official videos. In my ignorance, I thought the GR was the first one.
Seems those CGI shots I had seen of States and the Phalanx duking it out with Arachnos and suchnot WERE parts of videos.

Are there any links to the full, HQ videos? I've seen mish-mashed versions on Youtube on such, but all of them are fairly fail quality, and without the original sounds and dialogue. Can anyone help?

Edit: NEVERMIND! Found it Heh, they really, REALLY should promote the media video section more. Hells, they should use the 'intro' movie AS an intro movie for the game! Seriously, why waste such great work?

Mundane damage types are thematically and realistically easier to get than elemental types.

A bulletproof vest protects you from bullets(lethal) sure, but it doesn't do much against fire.

Plate armor helps against maces/swords, but it wont do you a whole hell of a lot of good against lightning.

Conceptually it simply makes more sense for enemies to have Smashing and Lethal resistance.

EDIT: This is not at all to say that I'm opposed to lowering the level of Smashing/Lethal resistance of mob in game, because I'm not. Having played a FF/Psi defender to 50 I know how much of a PAIN IN THE *** it is to fight mobs that are highly resistant to your damage type (Damned Robots, Zombies and Carnies!)
    What about AR blasters?
Sure, you get a lot of AoEs...some long animating, agrro grabbing, mostly S/L AoEs. And not to mention the end usage. The horrible, horrible end nomming.

Archery gets around the S/L by having both a long (I mean long) range, and being awesomely fast to fire. Assault rifle? Maybe it's just me not getting on with that blaster at the moment...
I guess it's impossible to think that some people would pack armour piercing rounds? =P
  19. Hehe, nicely done ^^
I really wish they could make a video system to use in game...I dont even know a thing about Demo-editing =S

  21. -shrug- Again, just how I've played through.
Personally I find most things tend to die, regardless of what they are, when faced by a mass volley of lasers, missiles and incendiary round

I really don't hope that players like snow are the ones stopping ncsoft from seeing the problem and putting in that server merge.
If NCSoft thought a server merge was A) Possible, B) Worth it money wise, C) Worth it for the playerbase, D) worth it promotion-wise, they would do it.

No one player can stop the devs doing whatever the frak they want. IF a group of players comes up with a good counter-arguement for a change (And this is a big IF and a big group) then there is precedent where things have changed. But not on something of that magnitude, not afaik anyway.
  23. ShaddupSHADDUP! I get a diode cluster fritzing out just thinking about what GR is going to be like...
Mostly, I just want Dual Pistols. That and all the other shinies...

I think aside from the natural disasters and such to rescue folks from, we would see in time a growing new evil rear its ugly head. Most likely from our own ranks as Merlin suggested and was in fact proven right.

Read Marvel: Civil War. Heroes are just as bone-headed as villains at times. Just look at the forums for a RL example. It wouldn't be long before someone was 'the bad guy' again.

Not every single character concept that happens to use cat ears/tails/animal parts is instantly something strange. I get rather sick of people assuming as such.
