This would be the only Jarhead cliche that I can think of:
-
There's a careful balance to play between convenience and exclusivity/special events. We want for there to be a reason to anticipate holiday events; we believe that they're pretty special as evidenced by the new Halloween Trial, and want to convey that sense of appreciation to you guys.
Combine this with the principal of wanting to introduce the concept of limited time items to the Paragon Market, and we have our seasonal offerings.
On the other hand.
Part of the impetus of the Paragon Market is to make more things more available to more people. As such, we're always considering what we should or shouldn't offer on a regular basis, especially if demand is high enough.
That and we like money.
TL;DR version, we have, and will continue to pass along feedback of this nature to the business development team.
Thanks

Quote:Hmmm. Just noticed that there isn't any information about any group rates or packages at the hotel? Is that an oversight or were you not able to work anything out?
From what I'm seeing on their site, these are the prices:
Garden room (one King or Queen bed) $119/night.
Deluxe room (one King bed larger room) $129/night.
Deluxe room 2 Beds (2 Queen beds) $129/night.
Executive Suite w/ Steam Shower $179/night.
Lanai Suite w/ Fireplace $199/night.
Theme Suites w/ Jacuzzi tub $199/night.
And I'll stop there before mentioning the $300/night and up Signature Suites.
Contact the hotel directly TJ for the group rate, as stated on the ticket purchase page. -
Congrats! -
Quote:2 is the correct number. So - how many transfer tokens should I have now? Weren't they supposed to start accumulating back when they announced them? I thought I would have more than the two I have.
Or is two a correct and accurate number, and I should just have two?
We started rewarding them with the launch of Issue 21 (well, a few days after).
Moving forward, you should expect the server transfer tokens on the first of each month, upon your first log in for the month. -

Quote:The Community Team always voices your concerns, especially in regards to systems that may present a level of confusion to our players. You can be certain that we have expressed concern over this situation.. The "difficult to calculate" should be a red-flag warning to the community support teams (CS and OCR) that someone is feeding them a line. The community support team's responsibility at that point is to tell the powers that be, in a crystal clear manner, that the situation needs to be changed.
The job of Community is a two way street. We express concerns, and we also are responsible for relaying information, whether it is ideal or not.
We have not posted a new update regarding this situation as we are still awaiting clarification regarding certain aspects.
I understand that you are frustrated. I also understand the sentiment regarding the scheduling of monthly stipends (This would be one of those things we've expressed concerns regarding). We will continue to express these concerns whenever the opportunity presents itself.

Quote:My sources inform me that it is per character. One question about the CCE Crows and the Bats aura... Are they per-character unlocks or account-wide? (I'm seriously hoping account-wide. Otherwise I'm going to have to run this thing on every one of my bird-things. I have a lot of them. A really... sort-of ridiculous number of them. o_0)
Get to running! -
Quote:I'm not the person to say whether it would or would not be easier, nor can I comment as to whether or not its even feasible with the way that our billing system works.i got my PP today as well, billing date 25th
Zwil, wouldnt this be so much easier to do and just award server transfers, PP, and tokens all at the same time say at the beginning of each month?
it seems way overcomplicated to award transfers at beginning of month, PP on billing date (variable throughout month per person), and tokens at the end of the month. awarding everything at beginning of the month would also standardize the procedure and should help to simplify it
I agree that the current system isn't the most intuitive and am passing that feedback along at whatever opportunity presents itself. For now though, I am focused on providing a clear and concise explanation and will relay the details as they are communicated to us. -
I've forwarded this along to the billing folks down in Austin.
That's about all I can say about this, at the current time. -

We've added one (1) new forum, not several. Unless I'm missing something or getting forgetful in my old age...which is definitely the case according to Mrs. Z.
The Builds Workshop is fairly cut and dry. We knew what we wanted out of it and it was pretty simple to put up.
We're still considering a Paragon Market forum, however Avatea and I are discussing the format and structure of it. This is combined with the fact that we're taking a measured approach to forum changes and basically not making a bunch of sweeping changes all at once.
We'll keep everyone updated. -
Oh that little guy?...
(It's a completely new rig by the by...courtesy of our amazing animators and art team ) -

Hi there,
The 440 Paragon Point Price is intended and yes, the Cape you're referring to is included in the Magic Costume Bundle.
Hope that answers your question! -
Quote:Yes. You receive your monthly Stipend for the month of gametime you've paid for.But that is only if I reactive again on 10/30 isn't it?
Remember, when you pay your monthly subscription, you're paying for the month to come, not the month that just passed.
Since you activated on 9/30 your allotment of points received at that time was for the period of 9/30 - 10/30.
When you renew your VIP subscription on 10/30 it will be for the period of time between 10/30 and 11/30. -
Quote:Whatever are you talking about Old Bean?* Ten winners will be drawn at random from those who enter; those selected shall each win a random HAT actually worn by an employee while on a recent Ustream talk! A second drawing of ten more candidates shall... ALSO win HATS! A third drawing of ten more candidates shall be invited to attend the Great Hat Addiction Intervention of 2011 where we will finally try to get to the bottom of what the heck is up with all these guys and their freaking HATS!

Quote:Currently scheduled as a 10 AM ish start time, and going throughout the evening.Since the first HeroCon was a one day event, and this is very close to a HeroCon, does that mean it's more than just an evening's worth of fun? As in, something to occupy a good portion of the midday to evening hours on that Saturday?
There may be Karaoke.
You have been warned. -
We're negotiating a group rate (read: have negotiated, contracts are written up, however not finalized). If you can wait til next week, you may want to. Out of an overabundance of caution.
