  1. "There!" whispered Arkeela, pointing to a prone man near the back of the 'queue'. He seemed to fit the description the mayor had given them.

"Fetch him," Xariel growled, his eyes reappearing for a moment. The faint shape of Arkeela turned quickly.
    "Wait-!"

Xariel erupted back into physical form, the silver chains lashing with a life of their own, ensnaring Unseelie and undead minions with their binding metal, slicing through rotted limbs like it was paper. Grabbing a handful, Xariel whirled, the silver arc slashing across the feeding Unseelie with a crack like thunder.

Arkeela sighed deeply, but raced towards the prone Mr. Norman, a faint arc of light in her hand shivering into a form as she ran.

I've also seen this awesome sword, but it removed my shield and actually debuffed my defence, so things were hitting me for 40-50 out of 400, whereas with my armour, they were hitting me for 1. HUGE difference. Pity, though, because that sword was a BLENDER
Castlevania: Circle of the Moon for Gameboy Advance had 1 ultimate armour called Shining Armour. Couple that with two double grips (they boosted your stats through the roof when you managed to get two of them) and the elemental card system they had in that game, and you feel rather Boss-like.

Even with all that stuff, though, Dracula is still really nasty. But at least you can counter some of his nastier attacks. Theres also a sense of superiority when you hit things you used to find tough for 9999 damage ^^

As for the OP: the answer to your question is: NO. Ridiculous.
I would like to fully realise my characters in CoX, like my MM having blaster level attacks and lots of them, my scrapper having Katana/SR/Regen and many others, oh and for Dual Pistols/Super Reflexes.

I also know it's not happening, and why it's not, and I enjoy the game as it is anyway.
BaBs has given his reasons for him why an underwater zone isn't happening, let alone any of the other Devs. Space? Maybe.

But they will need to start revamping Old Content at some point before New content, because it WILL get to the point where its no longer acceptable (not that it really is now, but GR takes massive priority right now, and thats just for me)
  4. An emote specific to whatever set/sets you took would be quite cool.

Standing around with a custom weapon out for weapon sets, like some of the enemy emotes in AE. /e littleblackcloud like you mentioned, stuff.

    Myeah -shrug-
  5. The prescence of Arkeela stuck with the rest of the group, but Xariel seemed to vanish for a moment, only to re-surface, seemingly straight out of the ground, besides Damsel.

"Say the word, and their parasitic spirits will be snuffed out," he growled.

These are all fantastic. I especially like the Nemesis one, given my own woes trying to create an ex-Nemesis toon. She ended up being in an armoured top half, and the helmet doesn't look quite so good, either.

That, and I still need the frelling rifle! =[
  7. There are some VERY awesome costumes in here! Like, really awesome!
How do you post pics on these forums, anyway? I would, if I could figure out how to =S

I ran out of brain to figure out which was my favourite.

I logged to another toon and guess what mission I got: hunt 45 Carnies. It's not pretty.

As for your concerns, only the Outcasts are hard to get Villain side, because you only get a spawn of two and in only one mission. As for the other, they aren't that hard to get any more, especially with the new mission settings.
So? It's still a valid point when concerning rediculous spawning.

    As to the reply; Hogwash.

Trolls also only spawn in Paper missions at the right range. Although they aren't needed to unlock anything.

Rularuu are only available in specific arcs that need unlocking, while Hero's can wander into the Shard at will. And they ARE needed to unlock things, which is major, major suck.

Redcaps ONLY spawn during Holiday events. For a mob that unlocks a weapon Redside this is utter, utter tripe.

Nemesis Fakes are a horror to find Redside, unless you farm some of Televisions missions. PI has them in numerous spawns blueside. Again used for a weapon unlock.

I think they semi-fixed the Family Boss issue, but it's still much more a swine to get Redside than blue.

OT? I hate hunts in general, full stop. I can stomach the 10 X hunts in the Hollows, for example, but 25+ is horrendous.

A team of 2+ VEATs is good. A team of 4+ VEATs is lethal.
A team of 7 or 8 VEATs is an armour plated steamroller of destruction, an unstoppable and merciless machine that devastates all in its path and leaves even the ground beneath it in ruin merely by it's very prescence and overexposure to sheer awesomeness!!

    /Jack Black moment.
Seriously, they are fantastic. Forget HEAT on a good team, VEAT teams are awesome incarnate.
  10. Wait for Dual pistols. Or try Dual blades. The spins and pirouttes wont look so OTT on a being that can move like greased lightning. DP might not have the staying power a scrapper, sadly, but... yeah.

This is the reason that MM customisation in I16 was only for Necromancer dark blasts, and nothing else. It's in the pipe, but it ain't done yet.

Patience, young padawan's. I'm slavering over this as much as anyone, if not more, but Im willing to bet on it being worth the wait.
  13. It's an easy thing to not realise, since it does have an annoying habit of doing just that.
The reason? Computers are unbelievably dumb. Sadly.

I tend to try and make sure I got the sucker in my crosshairs before they can do the same :P but yeah, it doesn't always work. De-toggling the current enemy and then clicking and an attack DOES target nearest foe, however, afaik.
  14. "At least this group has more than one true warrior in it..." the tombstone voice of Xariel muttured next to Hellhog, slight approval in his tone, the shadowey prescense sticking close to him.
There was a faint chime in the air, that sounded like Arkeela. Slight down-gusts showed that she had taken flight, although her pinions made no sound, hovering along behind Pious and keeping close and quiet.
  15. I think all ATs will still see plenty of use.

The min/max, DPS crowd may well favour certian mixes more than others, but most people, I would imagine, won't particularly mind. We won't see any particular AT shunned into nothingness, I know that much.

And all VEAT teams will STILL be glorious

Also, pick up the concealment pool and use another costume change to have an obscuring white smoky aura when you phase shift or use invisibility. Touch of Fear can be your hypnotism power.

I just don't understand why a super-strong immortal being would feel a need to carry around a sword when he could kill people just by slapping them. Plus vampires generally have superhuman reflexes, so other beings with weapons aren't really that much of a threat. If the look is where the problem is, power customization lets you make all of the lingering effects of dark melee powers barely noticeable.

The thing about aristocratic vampires is that they're only sophisticated when they're walking around being social, and when it comes time to fight you or kill you, they tend to just overpower you with their bestial viciousness. It's the contrast that makes vampires scary in the first place. Even then, the dark melee animations aren't exactly sloppy-looking.

You know what, I changed my mind, you shouldn't go with a DM/WP brute for a vampire, it would be stupid...

*goes off to make a DM/WP brute for a vampire*
    As to the sword/weapon answer...
Yes, vampires don't need them, really. But while it might be harder to get to grips with someone to slap their silly head off, a sword makes rather more of, excuse the pun, a point.

Also, in the case I use for mine, he doesnt need to carry his sword around. Its a quasi-dimensional symbiotic weapon which vanishes and appears when he needs it, is nigh unbreakable and, given how strong he is, he can ludicrous things like cutting a Titan in half.

Ah, game mechanics...how often they get in the way of looking badass I may have to draw him as he should be.
  17. I made mine a scrapper, simply because the AT made more sense for him than a stalker. My excuse for him not changing sides before GR is that it was MAGI who resurected him and bound him into service for them. It was only recently he actualyl became aware of this, and has been working against this from then on.

I've entertained different Sets for him, but none of them seem to work. He' staying a scrapper, but...hmm.
  18. I can't find the post, but BaBs (or someone) said something along the lines of 'MM Pet customisation is in the pipe, and their trying to make it as customisable as possible.'
  19. I went for Katana/Regen for mine. He's a bit of a lazy fighter, but he's also just ove a thousand years old, so not only is pain something mundane now, but he's incredibly good at healing and/or changing to avoid it. He did have fly, but I changed it to teleport as it really does work better.

Katana suits him down to the ground because it's graceful and balanced, and, given a vampires strength, I'm pretty sure he can shove it through even a titan.

Of course, I'd love to make him Dual Pistols/SR, but, hey, pipe dream

We walk a very fine line: If we make enemies too weak, then you guys risk becoming bored by them. If we make them too strong, then you avoid them and their content is left unused.

And, lord knows, I despise running into Spectral Demon Lords most of the time, myself.
One plea, Castle; make the PPD Equalisers Glue grenade be a locational AoE, not one that stops you even jumping up a curb for about half a minute after you trudged out of it. Its not fun, just majorly irritating, when you killed the guy a good while ago.

Revamping makes things new again. Sometimes, like in the case of the majority of stuff Heroside, this revamp is badly needed, because some of the old content is shocking.

No one will GET to the new content, if they cannot stomach going through the old content they have to dredge through first.

Another idea was a slightly nerfed in power, but otherwise the same, Longbow Ballista boss version.

And finally, taking que from Malta, Nemesis, and the PPDs hardsuits, New Longbow EB; Arbalest. A nigh two story tall powered armored nightmare agent.
The Bows have, but rarely deply, their heavy mechs. Recluse's Victory is the only place I've seen them.

    Ballista's are bad enough, please...
    LT class robot foes, maybe?
  23. Xariel grunted, his form seething and boiling, before simply becoming a dark stain on the background, only the piercing, hellish eyes remaining.
"I need no aid to hide from sight, mortal or otherwise," he growled, before even the eyes blinked out, only a tingling prescence any indication he was still around.

Arkeela relaxed slightly, from the tense poise she had almost lept to as Xariel began to fade.
"I appologise for my colleague. He...well, he probably does mean to be blunt, but...Well, apologies," she finished, stepping up to the other for the spell of stealth.

PPD Wall- I've made a bunch of Riot Police types as part of my AE arc Freaklympics, but I'd love to see a lot of Shield Defense troops added to the general run of PPD. Especially since the PPD seem to become less challenging once the average troopers are out of the mix. The SWAT guys are PAINFUL. The robots and kheldians are kinda boring after that.
    Fixed that for ya

Although yes, the LTs of Longbow are kinda irritating. Oh, they also get the Chasers. They con as LTs.

    Welcome to the markets.

This is why I stick with SO's until level 47, then start Vanilla IO'ing everything (cos Vanilla IOs at 50 give better numbers)

I don't particularly care about Setting people. My two level 50s which I've had for a long, long time, are still not fully setted.

And you know what? I can STILL do better on my Invul tanker on mostly vanilla's than some super-slotted guy on a stoner. Or at least keep up. I can still blow stuff away with my Mastermind, even If im not some unkillable perma-stuff death machine.

If you actually suffer badly on SOs...you're doing it wrong. Sorry, but its true.
If you just want all the shinies...so? Don't we all? Life ain't fair.
