I don't care about your "Kheld cred". How long you have been playing them, how many set bonuses you have nor how awesome you look on video.
This all started "for me" when you made a vague claim that human form builds perform as well or nearly as well as Tri-Forms, a statement I believe to be wrong and showed why I believed it to be wrong. Not to stroke my own ego but because I believe such statements need to be verified so that new Khelds can make informed decisions on how to build if their desire is to make a numericaly superior build.
At that point you made a statement along the lines that my method of determining performance was flawed due to the possibility of playstyle factors.
Then I wanted to know what playstyles could do to overcome such a large numerical difference if both players were equally skilled on the two types of builds.
Then things changed to what people enjoy and that I was rude and obnoxious because I was berrating people for playstyle (something I do not believe I actually did unless you concider bringing up alternate opinions and statistics to provide evidence of my views as berrating).
Then several threads later you informed people that when things get really tough you switch to an IO'ed Tri-Form build, and that you were playing Human only as a form of a chalange build. Which I thought interesting since your original claim was human only did the same job as Tri-Form well enough that neither was superior to the other.
So honestly, which is it? For the knowledge of the people new to Kheldians, If you had to select one build only to cover all situations what would it be?
My beligerant attitude and snarky manner all stemmed from the inability to provide this simple answer to the people interested in starting their first Kheldian with the intent to be as good as they can be.
I have no problem with people not playing to the max, I have no problem with people making concept toons, I have a BIG problem with an entire forum being unable to add honestly and truthfully that human form is fine but you will be at a slight (or not so slight depending on build) statistical disadvantage in playing Human Only, assuming they take equal time to master both types of playstyle. And in my experience this disclaimer is almost never added into posts answering the "what way do I build my Kheldian" questions when the advice given is to go human.
And, no one should have to add a "disclaimer" to every friggin' post they make, because *one person* seems to read too much into what they say every single post they put up. I'm certainly not going to, because I don't need to.
Advice is given based on what the person asked for. If they say "I want to make a human only, because I tried tri-form, and I want to go the opposite direction," that's what I do. I give them advice on a human form build. If they say "I'd like to make a tri-form" then I tailor my advice to that. I don't personally feel the need to tell every single person who visits this section of the forums "You really should play tri-form," because it's not up to me to decide for them how they should play.
I'm here to give advice built around how people have stated they are having the most fun. Period.

But I agree that EATs could use some love. It's as if they think they are complete or something else. Heck, it could be something cosmetic if they feel all the powers are where they need to be already. But rather than letting you tint, maybe have choices in the way your Nova or Dwarf looks.
Why would I want to? I don't know... Because I like other colors better than purple? Maybe because all ATs should be afforded the same attention when it comes to colorization?
It's cool if you like your white PB or Purple Warshade. Keep it that way. But, I'd like the choice to make mine black with some hints of blood red in there....

No, I'm not stating what "will" happen. No one can do that.
I'm stating what "has" happened.
I find it personally extremely very hard to pay attention to any of your points, legitimate or not, because I'm being overwhelmed by the argumentative, belittling way you come across. Because you "know numbers" shouldn't signify that you are "better" than anyone else, and although I doubt you really think you are, that's how you come across.
Makes it hard to hold a normal conversation/debate with someone like that, because my automatic reaction is to just either argue back, get defensive, provide the "flip-side" viewpoint (whether I agree with it or not), or all of the above. On top of that, putting words in my mouth, or constantly assuming you know what my intentions are (example: "promoting" human form), just further exasperates that.

I talked to Dark Watcher at Comic-Con about it, and he said that it was "on the table," and they might have it in the future.... But, definitely not in time for i16's release... :/

And yet, you've admitted to situations where a tri-former (nova in particular) might be a bit "overkill."
Personally, I prefer a challenge. This is pretty much the sole reasoning behind loving to play in human form. Because it provides an actual challenge. If I'm on tri-form against a *normal* mob, and not in any difficult task force scenario as I described... It's pretty much "ho-hum." There seems (to me at least) no real danger of death, because "every angle is covered," as it were. Need to do extreme damage? Nova. Need to stun them or hit a Quasar? Human. Need to break a mez or tank? Dwarf. It's just waaaaaay too simple for me.
I come to this MMORPG (first one that's ever really completely held my attention for this long, although I've tried many) from a First-Person-Shooter background. I've got about 280 games in my arsenal (yes, I actually own all of them legitimately...Kept the boxes and everything! haha), and I've always preferred the most fast-paced "ballz to the wall," challenge-oriented playstyle. The game that held my attention for the longest before I got into City of Heroes was Unreal Tournament 2004. Even in THAT game, I began to feel (after a year of playing) that the *normal* gameplay was getting a little boring, even though it's known to be one of the fastest-paced FPS shooters out there. So, what did I do? I found out how to challenge myself to keep me interested in the game. I wound up frequenting the "Capture the Flag Instagib" servers. Instagib, if your'e unfamiliar with the term, refers to "one shot, one kill." This sort of gameplay requires EXTREMELY fast hand-eye coordination and reflexes just to make kills. Now, add to it that everyone isn't just playing "Deathmatch." They're trying to capture a flag and bring it back to their base at the same time.
Now, that's just an example. Back to City of Heroes. Same deal. I've played this game for nearly 4 years, and have made just about every AT you can think of. Although I do enjoy casual TF runs with coalition mates, I'm still the same person I was 5 years ago. I've maintained the same fast-paced mentality, the same "challenge me!" mentality, and the same "A-D-D-like" symptoms. I particularly enjoyed playing tri-forms way back in the day when they were more challenging...
...Now, inherent powers work in the forms too... Nova and dwarf got even MORE damage buffs... and Dwarf breaks mezzes.
Too easy.
So, what's next? You guessed it. Surviving in an all-human form, *almost* all the time.
And, you know what? It's fun. It's holding my attention for the current time being. At least until Going Rogue comes out, and then I can switch sides with him and try him out on all the villain missions...
And, by the way, no matter how many times you say I'm "promoting" human form, it doesn't mean I'm actually sitting there telling people "you should play human." I've never actually said that. You're welcome to peruse every single post I've ever put on these forums. I've never told anyone that. I've maintained that it's a challenge, and that it's extremely fun to play, AND that it's VERY expensive.
So, to say that I am "misleading" people by just relaying the *facts* about how I choose to play, and how I've *personally* been successful, is very much an insult, because that's basically saying "you have no right to post your opinion on the boards, because it's not the way I would play."
Well, I'm sorry to have to let you in on this, but you're not the "be-all, end-all" source for information on Khelds, no matter how much math you can spout off for hours on end. Many of us have had varying *SUCCESSFUL* experiences on playing Khelds MANY different ways, and we're all welcome to share what we know and what we've personally experienced on these boards.

So, am I the only one who thinks that EATs are the only ATs not getting any actual attention? True, it's great that we can scale mob sizes to 8 for those of us who can handle it.... But, that's more a feature for the farmer-types... As far as EATS actually getting some love... It's kind of nonexistant... I'm referring, of course, to not being able to color our own powers and such...

Except if you do that, they won't remember what power you suggested, they'll just remember the nasty attitude in which you said it... Which, I guess, might also be what you want.

If you're prudent with your WWs actions, and are patient (as opposed to the BUYITNAO mentality), I see no reason why you can't get all these enhancements for two or three hundred million... Your most expensive enhancements in the entire build will be the 2 Blessing of the Zephyr KB IOs and the 2 Impervium Armor: Resistance IOs, which will contribute to the bulk of that cost). Also, I believe I have a LoTG +Recharge in there, which you're almost better off getting via merits.

Here's (essentially) the same build slightly tweaked for defense (5 to 8% across the board, and 12.4% for ranged, which is better if you're staying in Nova quite a bit)... You may find this to be more useful, or you may want to keep that damage on Dark Nova Blast. I also added the other two Expedient Reinforcements to the pet in this build. On top of that, I took out Performance Shifter from Dark Nova, and put a couple Hamis for ToHit. Also worth a try if you're more interested in adding to the ToHit bonus to being in Nova form.

While I agree with almost all your points, I would also argue that "jumping away from enemies who are still alive to execute a heal" is NOT safer than positioning yourself above enemies who are already dead for a heal. There is inherently more danger to yourself if there are enemies still alive who are (hopefully) taunted.

Considering both that you are making your first Kheld ever, and you also want to have a knockdown for when you're tanking (or blasting for that matter)...
...I'd personally recommend making a Peacebringer first.
There are many reasons behind this, but for now I'll just state that both a WS and a PB's nova form deal excellent damage, both nova forms knockdown or knockback (depending on your positioning) the PB tank form has an excellent knockdown in the foot stomp, and the PB is generally a little easier on the learning curve for a first-time Kheldian....
....yeah, Peacebringer all the way.
Once you lvl that bad boy up and are used to playing a Kheld, make yourself a Warshade. You'll love playing that one too...
