  1. any idea how many damage res in lightform would make cap the res without the shields?

    I think this is really the only way to use them effectively, I have tried other methods, launching them then attacking and sometimes they're still hanging around trying to look pretty.

    I just tend to think of them as another melee attack. I haven't had a chance to test the slotting on them as yet, damage definatly maybe acc and end reduction.

  5. I think my methods very similar to Unthing with my ice/ice tank.

    1. Run/Jump into middle of mob
    2. Hit EA to get their attention and boost my def a little.
    3. Ice patch!
    4. If there are any bosses then I try holding them. I have two holds one from secondary pool and one from the epic pool. If AV's are there then again keep throwing holds at them hoping they will stack with other team members holds.
    5. CE normally keeps the agro on me, if there is anyone outside of CE's influence I try to taunt them to keep their attention on me.
    6. Keep an eye on the team window to watch people's health, if anyones health drops I click on them and hit taunt.

    I try to keep the mobs as tight as I can around me. As its easier then to keep their focus which I depend on CE for (and taunts where its out of range etc), I don't have AOE's.

    In terms of who I attack it really don't matter as I don't do much damage anyway (compared to the proper damage dealers), I will normally start off with the highest lvl/rank mob and work my way down usually.

    If trying to tank AV's then I really need to remember to hit Hoarfrost before running in for that health boost.

    Fire/Kin Build

    Get a travel power, and then later if you want to respec it out do so.

    Got Firkin upto 24 and had to get a travel power because siphon speed was either missing, drawing agro and I was dieing or hitting, drawing agro and dieing abit.

    The only time it works without too much risk is when I am siphoning lower level minions. When you go into a new zone, ie you are lvl 20 and the mobs are all 20+ it is a bit dangerous.

    End is very hard to deal with before stamina, so get it at 20 it makes it so much easier.

    Siphon speed I would put more recharges in so you can easily double stack it.

    With me being at only 24 with my fir/kin controller thats about the end of my experiance. But looking at it you may not want so many damage in the imps because you will be either siphoning power or Fulcrum shifting and you have assult to ..

    maybe more recharge in FS so it's available more often.

  7. This is a question for the 35+ PB's and WS's out there.

    I teamed with a couple of other PB's this weekend and their playstyle and build differed quite a bit (the nice things about khelidians is the many builds and playstyles).

    I was just wondering what forms people use and do you consider yourself to be a tri, duo (bi) or uni (single) form and do the forms you use differ if you're solo or in a team (assuming a "balanced" team)?


    I consider myself to be triform, i suppose looking below i'm really 2.5 forms

    In teams:

    1. Nova
    2. Human
    3. Dwarf (used rarely unless getting mez'd)

    Solo:

    1. Nova and Human equally
    3. Dwarf when in trouble

  10. I took vengence on my Ill/Emp simply to help stop other people dieing. If the team as a whole is taking damage and one person gets dead then hopefully vengence should limit the amount of hurt other team members get.

    It is awsome when it gets stacked too.

  17. got my fir/kin controller at 24 atm. I thought I could do the no travel power route and use the kin powers. It ain't that easy.

    Worst is when you get sent to a new zone, at lvl 20ish getting sent to IP. Only +2's about and they are in a group of lt's ... siphon speed, hospital. so now i'm at the hospital, ok, only a group of 3 .. siphon speed, yay it hits and I peg it, I survived with much reduced health.

    now imagine this in a harard zone where the groups are of a much larger size, miss or hit the chances are you die.

    now i have fly and air sup is a good power, doubles up with containment and does damage to the things such as robots and turrets which psi doesn't do.

  21. i think that depends entirely on your build/plan. Probably the best thing to do at this stage is play with a heroplanner so that you can see how the powers and the slots organise themselves.

    I got the toggle shields as I figured when I am in human they will be useful, at 34 and haven't sloted them up. In my build I don't have stamina so could be the reason I have room for them.
