    Got Codes?

All I have to say is...hawt.
  4. Fun run, smooth as a baby's bottom. Credits to the leads.
  5. Also, my DM/SD is pretty beastly in PVP.
  6. The MG slotting is nice because I cap out damage and recharge, which I need quite often and helps when AV soloing. I've been running the build for a while and soloed some tough AVs, I've set it up so that I don't need CP (Liberal use of DC + occasionally popping OwtS is enough recovery to infinitely sustain my chain). With the proposed change of taking out something to add the third membrane, I'll be able to keep AD perma double stacked with a few seconds gap (which, if my math serves me correct, caps me).

I guess the question is, do I lost .08 end/s by taking the slot out of tough (.05 for the recovery in the toggle, .03 for the set bonus) or 7.5% recharge for the LotG proc.

Oh and for clarification, I turn on Combat Jumping when it's needed, I don't need it 95% of the time because the spawn is dead before they touch me, and I don't want to have to turn SJ back on to get to the next group. Tough is run doing normal play, but I turn off tough and grant cover for most AV fights.

Thanks for all your suggestions thus far, I've taken everyone's opinions into account :-)
  7. My main, DM/SD, in his current form.

Currently sitting at +147.5% global recharge, +90% accuracy, +30% damage and the soft cap, I need to move one slot around to fit another membrane in to Active Defense.

My initial thought is to take the lotg proc out of Phalanx Fighting and in to Active Defense, but I'm not so sure that would cause me the least amount of lost. My other idea is to either take the regen tissue proc out of health, the resistance/endurance out of tough (which I'm usually not running during AV soloing), or a defensive slot out of one of my powers (which will hurt me a little more than most, since I usually don't run combat jumping).

Well, I just wanted to know what everyone else thinks, so here's my build. I've got the membrane all ready to go, so I might just go with taking out the LotG from Phalanx Fighting and adding that slot to Active Defense.
  8. The way I personally like to slot MG is the 5 hecas (sans damage) and a Mako's Quad. Capped Damage/Recharge, the proc for extra damage, good accuracy and some good endurance reduction as well.

Before you blame the game, I'd check your internet connection and try power cycling one good time. most problems like this can be solved by a simple power cycle.
  10. I always thought it was the person who gets the kill's level determines the IO level. Then again I've gotten 0 recipes in the past 160 kills, so I'm trying to figure out why.
  11. No problem, when I say drastic changes I mean the amount of influence and the actual inventions going in to the set. I could try and draw one up if you like, but by the time you get to that point you might as well try something similar to one of our other builds.

Other than that, how does it look so far? I know it has a ways to go...

If it helps, I'm currently sitting on about 200 million inf, I PvE and team. No PvP at all.

My main concern for this build is the damage output...it seems that I'll be reducing my output by quite a bit since most of the slotting focus is going to typed def.

    My minor tweaks:

Heightened Senses was underslotted: Moved slots to add +def

Weave's bonus can be found better in other places: Moved 2 slots to QR, gives you a better +def bonus

Pulled out the gaussians and added the slots to HS and Combat Jumping, added 2 more of the cheaper BotZ pieces.

With these changes, you're capped in F/C and almost in N/E, which will be awesome for you.

It should be relatively cheap for the suggestions I made. Going further to get the extra N/E defense will be a little bit harder, and will be tough without some drastic changes.

    Well, hope this helps.
  13. Yeah, you can switch around a lot of your bonuses and get better ones elsewhere. For example, here's the build I currently use. You'll get A LOT more use out of slotting Aegis in your toggles, and for less slots as well.

  14. At quick glance, before even saying check out some of the builds I posted, I'd say add the Achilles Heel proc to Gambler's cut. Find room for it.

In more than just a glance:

I can't say I agree with your power choices at all. You've got stealth 5 slotted and a bunch of red fortune sets everywhere. I know it gives you positional defenses at six slots, but it's just not worth it in a WP build. For WP, you want to go for typed defenses, and more specifically F/C/E/N. With Divine Avalanche you'll be able to knock out Melee and Lethal defense as well, which will make you quite the force to reckon with.

You skipped both of your AoE attacks, this is going to make you feel meaningless on most teams.

Even if you're going for a cheap build, I'd still drop Stealth, Resurgence and pick up Flashing Steel and The Lotus Drops. Katana doesn't need much in terms of recharge for its attacks, and WP needs none, so you don't have to worry about losing that either.

If you want to check out some of my high end builds I'd say look in my guide.

  15. PVP is fun for me, and I'm not very dedicated either...

The problem isn't that PVP isn't fun in this game, it's that it's not this game's focus. If people wanted to do dedicated PVP they'd probably be more drawn to other games. I enjoyed PVP before (actually, not so much), but I really enjoy PVP now....except for fighting stalkers. They get hit and run away from me :-(

This game's appeal was never PVP, and then they try to force it down our throats or entice us with candy, but now that candy is worth more than anything else in this game.

    PvP IO for sale

All I've got is a bil redside. But I do have a ton of merits blue :-p
  17. Does arena count for PVP IO's? Last I heard they had to be zone rep kills, but what do I know? Nothing, that's what.
  18. This is going to come out of nowhere and no one will believe me, but this is what I watch when it's time to get in to scrapperlock mode.

    PvP IO for sale

The better (safer) way to deal in something that costs over the inf cap is to find a good metric in a different form of good. For instance, if people can agree that, say, a piece of hecatombs go anywhere between 200-300 mil, make the average price 250 mil and you could sell it for 2 bil + 20 hecatombs.

Then again, how the hell do you get 20 hecatombs in this game.

*This idea came from when I used to play GW, the stable item was ectos, and trading past the money cap was easy.
  20. _Mojo_

    Power Seller?

Just wondering, I know back when the market first came out that people had a specific piece of salvage dedicated to getting the power seller badge. Is there anything like this today?
  21. Maybe I should unslot my PVP IO and sell it off for 5 bil muahaha.
  22. _Mojo_

    io maybe avail

    >_> I've got a bil red side if it's that IO I'm thinking about.

That's all the inf I have over there.

I like Swift so that I can move around faster in missions when moving from group to group, it stacks nicely with Sprint and Ninja Run. I've always gone sprint instead of hurdle on my sj characters, maybe just a force of habit.

Oh, if you're slotting for recharge with those LotG +recharge I'd certainly find another slot for Taunt and that 7.5% recharge bonus. I'd also consider Pounding Slugfest Acc/Dam & Dam/Rchg for the last two slots in Haymaker & KoB instead of the Mako's... that gives you another 16% regen and they'll be considerably cheaper.
That's a good suggestion...the only place I could see dropping a slot would be in Hasten (which I'm not really willing to do) and Conserve Power (Which I'm not sure how often I'd be using). I guess it's one of those build decisions I'll need to make in the end...I'll probably take one out of CP though. I'll probably end up leaving my attack slotting because I'd be losing ~20% accuracy, ~40% Endurance Reduction and ~20% Recharge on my super strength attacks, which I really want to come up as fast as possible. Also, the makos are just sitting in my base right now, waiting to be used :-)

The build's different than I'd make one, but I don't see any real problems with it other than what it'll cost... that's going to be a big chunk. Be prepared to spend upwards of 500 million or more. Oh, looking at Stamina I'd reslot it; if you're staying with 3 slots I'd toss in a pair of common endmod and the +end proc. As it is you're a bit light on recovery there, which may or may not matter depending on how it plays with your IO bonuses. That's a question you'll have to answer after you've played it awhile.
I'm well aware of prices in this game, and what other reason do I have all of this virtual money than to spend it? I've already got a bil that cost 3 bil and a build that cost 6 bil on 2 different scrappers, so influence is no object here.

The trade off with the slotting in stamina is that I would have 1.88% more health where slotting 2 regular 50 SO's would have 4% more recovery. At this point, you're right, I'd probably want the more recovery with Hasten and Rage crashes, but then that makes me want to leave CP 2-slotted so that it comes back every 4 minutes instead of 5 or so.

    Anyways, thanks for the advice!
  24. It's been touched on slightly, but I dropped Ela for one reason: Hami raids. I used to do them too often to warrant keeping my Ela around. Grounded does nothing against hami and it makes me a very sad panda. I also got tired of getting hit by an immob, trying to use SJ or something else to move away and end up getting stuck to the ground.

Also, cimerorans used to rip me a big hole.
