Yeah, I bugged it. I've been getting duplicates since AE came out, but older souvenirs that I didn't delete are gone now, too, so something may be (more) amiss.
-
<shrug> I don't know what to tell you...I've got four copies of the souvenir for the arc I'm working on now (not that I mind; who can't use more HappyCorpse coupons?) Replay the arc, same character, different character, doesn't matter: another copy of the souvenir.
-
Can you even do this? I thought we were limited to applying one serial code per day.
-
AE arc souvenirs are currently awarded every time you complete an arc, so if you play a particular arc frequently (as I do my own, testing changes and tweaks), you end up with a stack of the same souvenirs. Sure, it's easy enough to delete them, but it would be a nice QoL improvement to include the arc number in the data written to the PlayerCreatedSouvenir file; when an arc ends and a souvenir is to be awarded, the system checks to see if the arc number is already there. If no, it awards the souvenir normally; if yes, no change is made to the file, and no duplicate souvenir.

There are quite a few, yeah, but you may have to search around to find some you like in your preferred level range.
Search for solo-friendly arcs thusly:

If there's a hospital on Striga, it's controlled by the Council or the Sky Raiders. Teleport 'em to a cell, I say, and make them fight their way out!
That's probably the evil DM in me, rearing its ugly head... -
In general we should be trending towards separating form (what you look like and why you look that way, e.g., origin) from function (resisting Smashing and Lethal). The power set you describe could (powers-wise) be perfectly appropriate for a robot...or a cyborg, a guy in a powered suit, an extraterrestrial, a summoned elemental, a mutant, a magician...in other words, just about anything. If you made this into a "robotic styled armour set", you'd effectively lock out all other takes on the set. Choice is good, variety is good, and that's why how your character looks has no impact on which powers they have available to them.
-
That's a hard question to answer, in part because many of the most potent powers are also situational (the "when used correctly" corollary you mention...ever used Assassin's Strike when you're not Hidden? ). There are powers that are very useful but not very sexy, and powers that are more style than substance (not that that's a bad thing), and powers that will completely revolutionize gameplay for a character and make you wonder what you did before you took that power.
For my part, I'll put forth Stygian Circle as an example of a power from this third category. It'll change your Warshade's life, I promise you. -
I'm the same way. I want the author of a great arc to know that I enjoyed it, and why, and to provide any constructive criticism that I can, so that they are encouraged to continue creating content for everyone to enjoy. I've already heard some "what's the use, nobody plays anything but farms anyway" defeatism, and it would be a shame if it took hold as the conventional wisdom.

Set bonuses? No. But why wouldn't pets benefit from Assault (or any other Leadership toggle)?

There are 26 AE badges in all.
Note that defeats in AE don't count towards the regular defeat badges. -
I'd like an AE Favorites list to keep track of excellent arcs I run across.
Would being able to see how many players have added an arc to their Favorites be a useful evaluation criteria in conjunction with the current ratings system? -
The "official" criteria is:
1 star = Poor
2 stars = Mediocre
3 stars = Good
4 stars = Excellent! (with the exclamation point)
5 stars (which doesn't have an adjective attached; I guess 5 stars speaks for itself)
Personally, I only one-star obvious junk, not attempts at stories that I consider to be "poor". Four-star arcs are arcs that I consider on par with the bulk of the official content (better than some, not as good as some). Five-star arcs are among the best stories I've played, in or out of the AE. -
I've played it, and I thought it was fantastic. This is exactly what the AE aspires to be - interesting story, compelling characters, a blast to play, carefully and thoughtfully written, and (last but not least) well edited. I sent you my (minor) suggestions in-game, which I am pleased to see that you've already adopted.
Five stars, people, give it a try! -
Real-world logos? No thanks. In-game corporate logos? Absolutely.

I could see this...the blinking, flashing, high-tech arrowheads don't really work for a magic-themed character, for instance. Perhaps a choice of two animations for these powers, like the new Super Strength and Martial Arts animations they're rolling out in I16.

There's actually a lot of Glactic kaking going on...go check out the dark corners of the D on Virtue, and don't wear your good shoes.
-
Not a very good investment just for the KB protection, which (provided you have access to a power than slots Defense or Resist) is available must more cheaply via a Steadfast Protection or Kismet KB IO...but the set bonuses for Zephyr ARE a good investment, and the other reason to want them at a low level (those WILL drop off at IO level -3).
-
It occurs to me that there probably is a hospital on Striga...in the hands of the Council or the Sky Raiders. Using an unauthorized medical teleportation transponder in Striga ought to get you beamed into a cell, and you can fight your way out. Mini-mission!

There's nothing in the (North American) AE interface that would allow you to flag the story as not being in English, so the best you could do is put it in the description and/or title.
-
You'd get a random Bronze recipe that's available somewhere between 10 and 14, but you'd get it at its highest available level. You could get an Achilles' Heel -Def recipe (available from levels 10-20) at level 20, or a Basilisk's Gaze Acc/Hold recipe (available from levels 10-30) at level 30, or an Air Burst Acc/Dam recipe (available from levels 10-50) at level 50.
-
A tiny fragment of the playerbase probably knows about the player-designated tags. Frankly I'm surprised more of them didn't make it into the AE interface...maybe something to ask for in the next round of improvements?
-
Examples:
- You are level 17 and make a random Bronze roll with your slider set anywhere. You roll a Bone Snap recipe, which is available from L10 to L25. Your recipe will be at L17.
- You are level 50 and make a random Bronze roll with your slider set at 10. Because you have elected to roll against recipes available at L10, it is now possible for you to roll a Bone Snap recipe, but when you do, it will be at L25 (as close as it can get to your level).
- You are level 50 and make a random Bronze roll with your slider set at 50. You will never roll a Bone Snap, because it doesn't occur at the level you have your slider set for.
