OK, I could point out the person who has 'god of ...' after every post saying he doesn't need to think of himself as a god in reality.... (I'm poking fun is all )
People react and treat each other in different ways all the time simply because of the way they talk. People respond to accents, phrases (y'know, y'all, etc), postures, clothing, physical attributes and more.
You're never going to stop people from judging people. It's what we do every day. Using certain words like 'toon' is just another thing that people judge the way they want. I don't like it myself, but I'm not going to shun the person for it, the same way I wouldn't shun them for saying 'y'know' after every sentence (which can be REALLY annoying).
In fact, if everyone talked the same and acted the same the world would be really boring. After all, I'm not attracted to people who are like me in every way - I like the differences as well. I like excitement.
(Of course, you'd be hard pressed to find someone like me - as my SG will happily tell you.) -

I've been looking at this off and on for a few months (since I7 was released) and haven't found any replicatable evidence for it. I have seen enough reports from enough disparate sources that I believe there is something funky happening, but so far, I've not been able to track it down.

I've noticed a reduction in endurance since i7 was released, but I assumed it was due to more endurance-affecting enemies than a change to my powers - perhaps this is where the problem is coming from? -

All kidding aside, it baffles me every time I see someone refer to their character as their "toon"... Maybe it's because I'm a P&P RPGer and not a video gamer, but where in the heck did that originate? I think it sounds pretty silly.
Thanks

I cringe a bit when I see the word 'toon'. As far as I'm concerned it originated in the film 'Who Framed Roger Rabbit' (Holy Smokes! He's a toon!). -
Heh. I took team teleport once, used it once, then discovered the complete impracticality of it due to the endurance drain and ditched it very very very quickly.
It should have been a tp-to-zone exit ability there. -
Wow, I was wondering if they'd brought back the disorient for AB for a minute there.
I remember they were glad to get rid of it. Talk about raising the dead though... -
Fun.
Community of Like-Minded People (in the main).
The day I have to justify what I do for my own personal entertainment is the day I sell my catsui.....erm......well, lets go back to Fun! -

I may possibly be the only person who's not exactly looking forward to Safeguard Missions, especially after reading the description of it here.
If I read it right, it's basically War Wall Defender. Except more so.

Nah, you're not alone - I can't figure how they're going to do it so its actually fun to play. Ah well, we'll see I guess... -
I thought it was great - and a little bit too disturbing at how accurately you portray me when I've had a few...

I'm a bar owner and network specialist from just south of London, England. I'm a 29 year-old woman who's happily concentrating on my career, my writing and having a pleasant non-threatened time playing MMOs at night.
So nyahh.

What this should be is a "Congratulations on 50!" thread, not a listing of all your 50's.
The former is an accomplishment and should be posted about; while the latter could be seen as gloating.
Maybe we should move this in the direction of congratulations versus just listing? And Mes, PM Cuppa and see if you can get the title changed.

Anouke and Furina.....
so nyahhh...... :P -
I like the new story though, a nice twist and well written - nice one, Gil!
Good riddance to Turner though...never liked him. (Well, SOMEONE had to play devil's advocate) -

I'd like to see a few more 'feminine' emotes.
I'm still disappointed that CoH doesn't even have 'curtsey'.
How about some classic evil-female emotes, perhaps a sultry stroke on the target chest with one finger followed by a slap. Maybe a rake with the fingernails (extra lengthened) or a simple arms-out-spin-and-classic-pose....or just a knee in the groin, even?
[/ QUOTE ]
The reason those were not included was the Devs tried them out using the Huge model and figured everyone would be laughing too much to play the game.

The why not make a few gender specific ones? It gives some identity to our characters rather than the generic 'bow' and 'yoga' (which I still want to be able to do whilst flying). Emotes ARE just fun after all... -

Hmmm, looking at Lord Recluse's avatar - I hadn't realised he'd joined the Cult of the Upturned Spider....
(check the hand position and shape - its the classic evil - all the greats eventually join the CoUS....

Actually, despite my protestations that european players should have an option on these pre-orders (especially us 12+ monthers) I'm really starting looking forward to possibly being the only villain now who WON'T be wearing a helmet
Ah, my long luscious hair blowing in the wind - just hope I don't have to do much in the sewers, it causes the worst split-ends.... -

Fight your way through Paragon City?
WHAT ABOUT THOSE POLICE DRONES?!?! ZAP!
[/ QUOTE ]
Well - wouldn't it be possibly the BEST EVER event if the police drone network was sabotaged and we get a day of full-on free-for-all? -
When I first started playing I was always under the impression that the Rikti were the BIG BAD, as it were - probably due to the game finishing the beta with a huge invasion force. Since then things have really dropped the Rikti out of much of the overall story and they've become a way of life...
With the linking of Peregrine Island to the Rikti Crash Site does it mean we are looking at a Rikti resurge and some more fun from them? -

I'm afraid that the serial codes for the European version of City of Heroes won't work with the US client - neither will US serial codes (from the US DVD edition, for example) work with the European version.

So I've got to order my DVD edition from the U.S.? Stuff that! (UK player) -
The key thing missing from the exemplaring system is that you aren't allowed to do past TFs. Until they put this in I really don't see the point, except it makes it MUCh harder to consider respecs because you have to spend 3 times longer planning out everything just in case you DO Ex.

I agree with the original post, except if I have already worked my way up to 50 and really don't want to face the tedious first few levels of the game again.
I think the other thing I hate about it is people building up characters like this on generic accounts and then conveniently selling them on. I guess I don't like seeing the hard-working developers having their product being used for other people to make a quick buck. Especially when its a product this good.
Anyway, its not much of a worthy discussion any more. They're cutting PLing down severely when issue 2 goes live...
